alright this is going to be my last post i make on the subject that i’m going to link to any further asks/comments about it or just block people but since you all want to fucking clown for a shitty white man let’s look at johnny depp and amber heard and figure out why i don’t think he’s some “poor uwu baby” bc he claimed he was the victim. let’s go!

evidence against heard/for depp:

an incident where she was arrested in 2009 for assaulting an ex-girlfriend. however, charges were dropped moments later and her ex-girlfriend says that heard was “wrongfully accused” by cops that “misinterpreted and over-sensationalized” the incident. van ree (the ex) also says the incident was misogynistic and homophobic once the cops found out they were partners.

a decorator claims that she did not see bruises on heard after one of the biggest fights in heard’s claim. however, during the sun trial a recording came out of her saying that she was pressured into it by depp’s attorney and just signed the statement she was given and didn’t write herself. 

(sorry the link is thedailymail, they’re the ones that initially leaked it and have the most detailed write up of it. i’m sorry it comes from a shitty source lmao but it’s the source every paper links so take that as you will) tapes from couples’ therapy wherein BOTH heard and depp admit to getting physical with each other. she admits that she’s hit him. people bring this one up the most and isolated yeah, i can see why this is concerning. however, keep in mind that “perfect” victims don’t exist and if he was abusing her and she got physical that doesn’t negate his abuse. also keep in mind that this is isolated and chopped up audio that’s been edited and leaked for the purpose of headlines and sensationalism. 

photos of depp with bruises and a cut finger. (tw for gore/blood. again, sorry for the dailymail link it’s one of the only places that had photos of it). he claims the cut finger came from her throwing a bottle of vodka at him, she claims the cut finger happened when he attacked her while high and he sliced open his finger on a plastic telephone he slammed against the wall. considering there’s no evidence towards either beyond he said she said, please consider why you’re automatically inclined to believe his version of events over hers.

depp’s security says that he did not see heard abused/saw her violent towards depp & johnny depp’s exes winona ryder and vanessa paradis say he was not abusive.  

evidence against depp/for heard:

these texts between depp and paul bettany. i won’t go into detail bc they’re triggering so tw for violence, murder, and rape. talking shit about your ex is one thing, esp if they’re an abusive ex, but joking about how you want to do That to your ex’s dead body is horrific and inexcusable and i literally do not know a single victim that would go that far. 

audio in which he held a knife and told heard to cut him, calling her a pussy and saying if she didn’t cut him he would cut himself while she begs him not to hurt himself. in the same article, it details his texts threatening to cut of elon musk’s dick for allegedly having an affair with heard (unproven) as well as calling her a “50cent stripper” and other abusive language. 

the above audio from the therapy session in which, again, they BOTH admit to violence. 

this one is just fact so idk that it needs a source but the uk court ruled johnny depp as an abuser in 2020 in a case where he was trying to sue the sun for libel for calling him a “wife-beater”. he was literally ruled a wife-beater by the court.

during the trial, 12/14 of the incidents amber heard accused depp of abusing her in were “proved to the civil standard”. for obvious time saving reasons i’m not listing out each individual incident but 12/14 of them were ruled as being true. 12/14. think about that.

photos of bruises on heard after an alleged incident. these are the ones that are contested by a few witnesses that say they didn’t see them on those days so take that with a grain of salt i guess, but remember that at least one of the witnesses above was pressured and threatened into making that statement.

i’ll also include her opinion piece in the washington post, where she is mostly talking about media & society’s reaction to her coming out about the abuse and barely about depp at all. (it’s on the washington post and i can’t find it elsewhere but you just have to enter your email to read the full thing). this is the article that brought their case back up. 

heard has donated much of the money from their divorce settlement to charities already, a direct contrast to the pervasive idea that she has made all this up for attention and monetary gain. some of it she has not been able to donate as she’s had to “spend millions of dollars” defending herself in depp’s claims against her. she still plans on donating the pledged amounts. 

video in which depp is behaving violently towards heard. it is however not the best source as it could’ve been edited, but if we’re going to include the edited therapy tapes, let’s be fair and include this.

texts between heard and depp’s assistant where the assistant is apologizing on behalf of depp for physically assaulting heard saying he cried over it and is apologetic.

depp has a history of violence, including trashing a hotel room during an argument with his ex girlfriend kate moss, assaulting a locations manager on set, and assaulting a hotel security guard

he wrote on a mirror with his own blood after the severed finger incident with messages for heard (source isn’t the best but you can google it and look up other images/sources for it). he acknowledged this.

again, apologies for the source, but photos of clumps of heard’s hair torn out and a broken bed from the same attack. there’s also photos of a trashed room after an alleged attack in which depp headbutted amber, which he admitted to saying he may have headbutted her as an “accident”.

and that’s just scratching the surface. there’s going to be another trial in april 2022 in virginia where more will come to surface, but this is what we have so far. so tell me again why his case is automatically the believed one. tell me again why every single fucking time an abuser comes out and says “no i wasn’t the abuser, they’re just crazy and I’M the real victim” everyone bends over backwards to buy their story and feel sympathy for them while blacklisting the victim with no question. frankly it’s disgusting that someone can get away with such blatantly abusive bullshit and have everyone fawn over them and forgive them just because they said they didn’t do it. it’s not fair and it’s especially heinous to “bad” victims who fight back and aren’t docile and “perfect”. yes, amber heard hit him too. if she was getting abused to the levels that were proven in court, it’s not fucking abuse to hit someone back. she even said in the tapes where she admits to hitting him that “you poke an animal enough, it is eventually, it doesn’t matter how friendly it is, it’s not cool”. 

at the very fucking least can you all admit that the situation isn’t so black and white as you want it to be and that he did do shitty things to heard as well and that the court case in 2022 is going to reveal more about the situation? 

at the VERY fucking least if you won’t admit that amber heard is a victim, admit that this case isn’t settled and depp hasn’t been “proved innocent”? can you admit that one set of tapes from a therapy session is not evidence enough to absolve him and condemn her when there’s a mountain of evidence against him too? can you have sympathy for victims for 3 seconds? admit that this isn’t about you “believing male victims” and is instead about not wanting to cancel a “pretty” white man.
