I was actually explaining the basics of House of Leaves to a coworker recently and I mentioned the minotaur and I've never felt so embarrassed explaining how some people think it's real and some people think it's just like...a metaphor. I'm literally trying to pitch a book and I don't fully understand it.

I actually severely fuck with this idea because in a way its the most accurate audio book you could have of the book. You can't actually transcribe it in a way that accurately reflects the page, much like you can't put Homestuck in print, they both hinge on their respective mediums to work. In order to adapt House of Leaves as an audio book you need to recreate its meta nature, layers and contexts in your own way.

Someone should do this.
