The Mackay range of instrument isolators are widely used to isolate steady static vibration and the control of occasional shock. It is generally recommended that snubbing washers be used to provide an interlocking system of metal parts which act to prevent damage from overload or excessive shock impact.

What is an Automotive Hose?

Power Steering Hose

Since the pressure of fluid going from the reservoir to the rack or pump is very high, high-pressure power steering hoses are used for this purpose. The fluid pressure is quite low on its way back to the reservoir hence low-pressure power steering hoses are used for that.

The role of the heater hose is to carry the coolant from the reservoir to the heater core and back. These are designed to withstand extreme temperatures of heater and coolant.
Radiator Hose
Top and bottom radiator hoses connect the radiator and the automobile engine together. Their role is to stop the engine from overheating by carrying the cooling fluid from the radiator to the engine and then carrying the hot fluid back to the radiator to be cooled again.

Enter the Shear Load (if unknown, enter the weight OR zero depending on whether there is significant shear loading in your application)
Select the number of isolators to be used
Enter the disturbing frequency to be isolated
Isolation %
The percentage of vibration that the isolators stop from being passed through to the supports. This must be greater than 70% for the isolators to be suitable. Note that negative isolation values are not an error- they indicate that the selected isolators are amplifying the vibrations, a common problem when incorrect isolators are chosen.
