Though I am excited for new fantastic thing-dos, I also think "when is this not the case?"
I’m working on something!

These are obviously puppy-sized elephant calves. They will represent a much greater volume of rain as they mature.
I got to thinking about the weight of rain, and I realized I had no idea how much rain really weighed, so I looked it up, and made a thing. 113.3 tons, fallin’ on your head.

Lighting a candle with my charms of protection, for a friend. I know you are fully equipped to handle this danger. This is the only way I can help right now.

57 days until the new year. 89 days until school begins. Approximately 454 days until I can quit my current job.
Gotta just keep trucking.

Nail polish isn't makeup, it doesn't count. You know what nail polish is? A socially acceptable means of drawing on yourself.

I've realized the reason for much of my current discontent, aside from mandatory overtime and getting out of work late, is that I am quite conflicted about my job. On the one hand, I'm being treated fairly well financially. On the other... there is such a great amount of bullshit politics, people who are horrible (not just bad) at their jobs who have not and will not been fired, and - really this is the crux of the issue - I exceed 90% of expectations of my job and I'm still dinking around most of the day. I was absolutely on board with doing my best at my job when I was hired here, but after seeing people who are legitimately good at their jobs and deserve better getting the short end of the stick so many times, I can't bring myself to give a flying fart about doing as well as I might. This leaves me conflicted as I work at a desk and there is such a stigma about leaving one's desk, that I have this guilt that grates on me. Alas, I checked my stats today with a friend who has access to such and I still exceeded what I need to do per day and I was "active" in the work queue for only slightly over half of my 9 hour shift. I am thinking I need to care less about the consequences of taking my own liberties for successes at work when I get no more out of work (commission, recognition, compensation, whathaveyou) if I exceed the company's goals for me than if I do what I could for them. It isn't worth burning myself out for no extra reward (certainly, not from completing my work, because there will *always* be more due to the nature of my job). My medium/long/early next year plan is to go back to school funded by what I can save here, so no use breaking my brain parts with stress over something I can do nothing about changing without major investment and is not somewhere I can afford major investment in with my time constraints anyhow.

My AP euro teacher wouldn’t let our class watch Les Mis so we barricaded the door and screamed “VIVE LA REVOLUCIÓN” when he tried to get in.

I will only be excited for May if the current weather trend continues. Otherwise, my plantadoos and I boycott spring in favor of summer. Because at least then they'll get some sun, and I will not be depressed about the lack of leaves on the trees.

My badass shocker lizard character from DnD. Yes I play a 1' tall lizard, but you don't know how many times I literally saved the day. More than the rest of the party combined. No joke. Also, his name is "Bzzzzt!"
