Seems like i’ve found my way back to this place once again, i leave but always end up coming back. I miss writing so badly and since i’ve been gone i have created so much chaos in my head that i’d love to write out. All of my OC’s will be getting revamped~

The warmth from the jacket made the halfling let out a soft hum, he hugged it close to his body. “Thank you..” He let out a small sigh. “Also I appreciate you not giving me away..I’ve had so traumatic things in the past happen to me and I got branded for it.” He pressed his lips together.

“I’m scared..but I feel bad for getting you caught up in this. You didn’t have to let me in your home and yet..you did.”

Salem wasn’t entirely use to kindness from other that weren’t his kind or apart of his race. It was slightly unusual but he liked the slight comfort he felt.

“For an Anti-Christ..you’re truly kind and understanding.” There was a small smile. Salem then moved closer to the fire and held his hands out before he reached into Loyd’s bag and pulled out an apple. One of his favorite snacks.

“I can scout around tomorrow if you would like, I know the area really well—I want to be of some use to you while we’re hiding.”

Salem sat there in silence while doing his best to listen to everything the other was saying—so many thoughts ran through his mind, what was going to happen to him if he were to get captured?

Quickly he shook his head to rid those scenarios..

“I’ll..I’ll let them know, my home isn’t to far from this area.” Salem’s voice was soft, you could just hear the anxious tone coming off his lips. “And I don’t mind, just..be careful.” Salem had never really been on a motorbike but had ridden horses growing up..it wasn’t exactly the same but at least he had Loyd to hold onto.

He took the man’s hand and followed him. Once they got onto the bike he wrapped his arms around the others waist and held tightly.

Hours had past , they went to Salems home to collect some things he need and explained to his brother about having to hide away for awhile, Grey, the oldest, was the biggest fan of it only because of how protective he was of his younger brother and didn’t want things to go down like last time. But with reasoning he allowed Loyd to protect the halfling.

-The night was getting cold, Salem sat at the edge of the rocks and looked out into the distance. The cave was hidden down in a small valley along the water, it went deep within a mountain and was perfect place to runaway to. No one ever found this place but Salem and his brothers, anytime he’d have bad arguments or fights this is where he’d stay.

“How long do you think they’ll be looking for me..?” Salem muttered out softly as he looked up at the night sky, he turned his l head slowly over his shoulder to getting better look at Loyd sitting beside the small fire they had.

“I don’t want to cause you anymore trouble than I have…why not..turn me in?” Salem’s voice was a tad shaky, made from the lack of eating or maybe it was from how cold his body was.

He had remembered last time he was kidnapped years ago and this brought back those same memories, the fear, he didn’t want to get caught up in a horrible situation again. The man whom kidnapped Salem was a king and branded his mark onto the smallers soft flesh, right above his hip.

“Oh..” Was all he could spit out as he watched the other show his hands, whomever caused this must have been absolutely sick in the head. Salem felt bad for Loyd, this must have been just as overwhelming for him.

“I’m…Im so sorry…Fuck..”

Salem sighed as he wobbled towards the wall to keep himself standing. He felt sick. Anxious. Scared.

“I..I don’t want my family involved…Not…Not like last time….But, I have a place we could hide..It’s a cave me and my brothers found years ago, no one goes there but us….We..We could try that.”

Salem felt a sense of relief after he spoke , it was nice to be able to talk freely without judgement or to be told to keep quiet. He smirked and began to gather his own things together.

“Oh they’re definitely fast , when I was little I had fallen off and broken my arm.” He chuckles lightly to himself. “Mom, never let me back onto Shadow until I turned eighteen—“ Salem couldn’t remember that day so clearly.

As Charon mention the ammoniations he became more serious.

“I’m ready for anything sir, I will not fail you.” The halfling finished packing and slung his bag around himself.

“Once we get to my family’s home, don’t be startled if my brothers are there.”

Salem took a deep breath and adjusted the cloak he had slipped into, raising the hood over his head.

“I’m ready.”

Salem couldn’t help but giggle at the others reactions, it was almost cute in a way. He shrugged at the question— “I’m sure they’ll worry, but they know I’m capable of handling my own. I mean , so far they’ve been okay with me staying out here.. I know I’ve become your servant and must remain at your side, but they can sense that you’re not an awful person.” He couldn’t stop himself from rambling.

“Oh gods, forgive me for rambling on—“ Salem cleared his throat and pushed himself up to stand as well. His amber eyes began to shimmer ever-so-slightly as Charon asked about the horses. “Oh master you wouldn’t believe it, our horses have incredible speed and are highly intelligent. My mother raised our pure bred since it was a baby.” He smiled. Those memories growing up gave him a sense of warmth.

“Some help would be great, thank you!”

Charon grinned, shaking his head. He’d never really thought of Salem as a servant-he’d thought of him as a friend. “It’s okay,” he assured him, running around and grabbing everything, listening to him talk about the horses. They sounded like fine horses if they have incredible speed and intelligent. 

“They sound fast,” he finally said after a couple moments, hiking his bag and his staff, finally moving to the door and opening it. “Fast enough to take us out of here. Though we might have to take care of some of those abomination along the way.” Or worse…he might black out again and don’t remember what happens once he snaps out of it…

That…that worried him more than ever. But he didn’t want to think about that now, as he went down to help Salem pack.

It was true. Salem was such a mommas boy and adored that woman so much, all his life she has taught the halfling so many marvelous things and the best thing she had taught Salem was to not feel ashamed of being part elf and part human, no matter how much he hated his father.

“I’ve have almost enough for the two we wanted and i’m hoping when I start my second nightly job i’ll be able to contribute better.” More rambling. Salem couldn’t help it, his nervous were feeling like static and as they walked further in the light began to disappear.

“Alright we’re almost to that dark pathway i talked about, forgive me if I get a little skittish — without alcohol i’m not as brave.” Salem let out a laugh, thankfully it was to dark to tell how anxious he was.

The smaller began to worry, we’re those men worse than he thought? The halfling chewed the inside of his cheek and sighed.

“Should..should I leave?” Salem questioned. “I shouldn’t have r-ran up to your door, Im sorry..” The drunken male hugged his knees to his chest and slowly began to push himself up to his feet. As he stood the world around him seemed more wobbly than he remembered.

“I don’t want you..in trouble or getting hurt ‘cause of me..”

Salem’s shift was about to start, he sat in the dressing room touching up his makeup; black eyeliner with red eyed shadow was his signature look and now he was adjusting his accessories to perfection. Salem was nervous, but excited for his first show at the new LGBT+ strip bar—

Standing up he checked himself out in the mirror; hair spiked up, a black choker reading ‘Good Boy’ along it, fishnets with garters attached to his assless chaps, black ruffled gloves and 5inch buckled platforms.

Oh he was ready, he felt incredibly sexy tonight and couldn’t wait to get everyone hollering and if the young halfling was lucky he’d get paid for a private room.

Once the DJ called out his stage name, ‘Asmodeus’, he quickly made his way out and jumped onto the pole as his song began to blast through the speakers. [ X ]

He swung around and dropped the lower half of his body, grinding it against the pole as he looked out into the crowd.

Salem could tell that the other wasn’t joking, but truthfully he couldn’t help but crack a smile. “No need to worry, I’ll keep them away from you..” He pulled his knees up to his chest now, resting his chin onto the top of them. “Maybe if I can borrow my brothers spell book I can find a barrier spell to keep you safe..Or something to repel the felines.” Salem nodded his head and chuckled lightly. “An adventure you say? Sounds a bit risky..but I’m willing to follow you wherever you may lead me.”

He listened to Charon speak this time, the big city only made him slightly nervous—he wasn’t sure how he’d be treated there. Being only half-elf may get him a pass, but even then he wasn’t sure how it would work out. Regardless he’d follow Charon.

“I’m ready when you are sire..just say the word and I’ll gather what we may need for the time being. My family has horses if you don’t have an easier way for travel..”

This made the halflings skin began to grow goosebumps, his body was trembling with excitement and a bit of anxiety.

A little smile tugged his lips, wishing there was a spell that can keep those cats away from him. His eyes widened just slightly when he said that he’ll be willing to follow him. Charon’s mouth dropped slightly at that, and tried to find something to say, to convince him to think of his brothers-and nothing came out. Charon’s brain went to mush even when he said that he was ready to go.

“Wh-” he started to say, his brain finally catching up with him. “What about your brothers?” Charon finally blurted out. “Won’t they worry about you?”

He thought about it before he got up and grabbed his staff. “Then pack up your things,” Charon finally said with a huge smile. “I can help if you like, and then we can go! How fast can the horses go?” He was very excited at this point, nearly jumping up and down on the balls of his feet.
