Okay then darlings
It was about a week later when Charlie got her wheelchair. Time stayed by her side, worried for his little girl. That was until Malon stopped him.
"Hun, she needs to learn independence."
"But what if-"
"Nope, now why don't you find Michael? She needs a distraction from her sister." With a slight huff, Time left to Michael. The second he saw her short, strawberry blonde hair, he ran over, opening his mouth to speak. Then he saw her blue and green eyes filled with tears. Kneeling down, he lifted her chin to look at him.
"Hey leaf, what's wrong?" She sniffles and hugs Time, shaking.
"It's a-all my fault Daddy!" She cries out. "I pushed her up into the hayloft while we were playing! I swung at her when she was off balance and she fell! It's all my fault!" All my fault. The words echoed in his mind. Those same words he had cried to Malon when Tenshi...
"Baby, look at Daddy. It's not your fault. Accidents can happen, but that doesn't mean someone needs to be blamed. Now why don't we practice a little with your bow to take your mind off all this? Then we can go talk to Charlie and see what she thinks." Her little head nodded and she pulled away.
"Okay Daddy..."

After a long practice, Michael went inside and found her sister. Walking over, she sat down next to her and Time watched as they began to speak. He didn't hear the conversation, but he saw them hug, and knew everything was alright. If only it could be alright for him.
Walking around the barn, find comfort in the cattle and horses inside, he began to hum a lullaby. The cows settled down, the horses quieted. It was like the whole world had stopped to hear his tune. It was only until a soft, gently voice met his ears did he stop. Looking over, he saw Charlie, singing the end to his song.
"Hey Dad..." Time froze and walked over to her.
"Lee-Lee, I... I'm sorry for being over bearing. I was worried about you."
"I know, Dad. But I can handle it. I don't think I can be a knight anymore, though. I think I'm okay with that, I just, need time. So, can we try again?" Time knelt down and kissed his daughter's forehead.
"Of course."

On his girls' 12 birthday, Time watched with some anxiety while they opened their gifts. Michael went first. Her eyes sparkled as she opened up a longer gift, pulling out a sword. Time had gotten in contact with Four and asked him to make a sword for Michael. She seemed to love it, if her squeal over it said anything.
Her next gift was a pale blue sash. With a little help from Legend, Time had gotten it embroidered with the Lon Lon Ranch symbol. Her next gift was from Malon, a small locket, at first she was confused, then she opened it and grinned, looking over at Charlie.
Charlie looked over at it and smiled, then began to open her gifts. Her first one, one of the small packages, was a similar locket. She put it near Michael's and the two clicked together. Time's heart swelled as they seemed excited over such a small thing, but he was glad they liked it.
Her next gift was a bandana, similar to Michael's sash, also the handy work of Legend. Finally, she opened her last one. Inside was a kit, tools of all kinds inside. She looked up at her parents in shock.
"We've noticed you took up some tinkering so... We went and got you a lot of your own." Time says with a proud smile. Charlie tears up from joy and holds out her arms for her parents, who quickly come over and hug her, beckoning Michael into the hug as well.
"I love all of my girls..." He whispers as he holds them close. When he and Malon had lost Tenshi, it felt like bad luck, but then he saw Twilight and knew that everything would work out in the end. Then when Malon had his twins, he was worried he wouldn't be a good parent, but his girls seemed to look up to him in every way. Then when Charlie got injured, he thought it was bad luck, but now she had tuned into that brilliant mind of hers, which felt like good luck. We'll see. Was all he could think. The future would only bring more surprises, and he couldn't count them all. He could only watch the good coming out of it.
What Time didn't know yet, was that later on, Michael would become one of the most respected knights in the kingdom in her father's honor, that Tenshi would be given a second chance at life, that Charlie was the start of a new era for Hyrule's technology, but what he did know, was that his girls would be given the best life he could manage.

Tw: near death experience
Time watched his girls, pride swelling in his heart. They would make excellent knights one day. That's what they wanted after all. He watched as Malon left the barn to grab the washing off the line. Before he could follow, he heard a scream. Someone shouted, and fear glazed over his eye. He quickly looked up into the hayloft, not seeing either of his girls.
"Michael!? Charlie!?" His cry seemed to meet deaf ears and he ran outside. His body froze, tears welled up in his eye. Before him was his wife, leaning over a small crumpled body. Strawberry blonde hair splayed out like a roaring fire. Michael sobbing, and Charlie, his little girl, his baby, laying on the ground. She was the body. Her eyes were dim, and she didn't seem to be breathing.
Thinking quickly, he shouted to Malon that he would grab a doctor, and quickly swung onto their fastest horse, racing towards town. His heart racing and heavy, but he was determined to save his little girl.

Pacing the hallway, his worries filled fast than a glass of water. He heard a door click and whipped his head towards the noise. Leaving his twin's bedroom was the doctor.
"How is she?" He hurriedly asked, his stomach churning like a stormy ocean. The doctor sighed and took off his glasses, folding them and holding them in his hands.
"She'll live, and heal." Time sighed in relief. "But the bad news is, based on where the break is, it's a possibility that she won't be able to walk." He froze. His eyes widened as he looked at the doctor in shock and misery.
"Wont... walk...?" The doctor shook his head. His lips pursed into a small frown.
"I'm afraid not sir. I'll have a wheelchair commission for her and delivered as soon as it's finished. Until then, don't let her leave her bed under any circumstances." Time nodded numbly, and the doctor left. He walked into the room and over to Charlie's bed. Her green and blue eyes looked at him, more alive than before.
"Daddy...?" She whispered. Her little voice sounding hoarse and tired. He took her hand gently, too afraid to speak around her. "How am I meant to become a knight if I can't walk....?" Tears came forth once more and he wished desperately that he could pull her into a hug, and whisper comforts. But with her back, he couldn't. He couldn't even think of anything to say, so he just whispered:
"I'm not sure...."
