Love, leave me once I’m dead.
Tumblr media
“You were on the ground, tainting the snow scarlet.
On the ground that day, you remembered how warm snow could be.”
Wednesday Addams x fem! Reader
You were on the ground, tainting the snow scarlet.
On the ground that day, you remembered how warm snow could be.
“Wednesday.”
The name slipped seamlessly from your lips. It was natural, like the water streaming down the river, or the water drops sliding down the leaves in the morning. It was natural, like how your fingers intertwined with hers, like the way her hands fit yours like puzzle pieces.
Your lips curled up at the sight of her. She was beautiful, as always. The snow flickered down to rest on her hair, sewing stars in her silky hair– which shimmered under the moonlight.
Her lips, cherry red and parted, let out soft huffs of air– her breath coming out as a blob of white in the freezing atmosphere. Her eyes were wide as no gleams of light could be found in her deep, dark orbs.
You could connect the constellations in her cheeks. You could reach out and brush her hair back, tell her how angelic she was. Pull her down beside you, inviting her to the serene moment.
But the burn on your torso was too much. The pounding in your head made it hard to think, and your vision clouded with misty haze.
“-- Hey, Wednesday.” You managed to let out, chuckling softly. With trembling hands, you reached for her cheeks, cupping her face fondly.
Her nose was red– perhaps from the cold, or the tears running down her cheeks. She towered over you with both hands on your face. It was shaking, you realized.
“-- Don’t close your eyes. Where are you injured?”
You couldn’t hear her well. Everything sounded like you were underwater– and everything hurt.
“Everywhere.” You said, cracking another laugh. You watched as your lover pulled up your shirt, revealing large slashes of red. You saw how she held her breath at the sight– before searching your body for another wound.
“Wednesday. My love.” You laughed weakly, bringing her chin up for her eyes to meet yours once again. “Please.”
She paused, like in disbelief. With a clenched jaw, she returned to her searching– her gestures shook, and it brought tears to your eyes.
“Stop.” You tried again, only to be ignored, “Wednesday, It’s no use.”
“No!” She shouted out, a short silence following. “No. You’re going to live.”
“Wednesday!” You exclaimed, your eyes stinging. You were crying now, you knew. The liquid flowed down and dropped onto the snow– and it didn’t stop.
You found her gaze. A sigh left your lips.
“Please, don’t.”
Every breath you took, you could feel it draining your life out every second. Your lips had no color– and your skin was pale without any hint of life– You were dying.
You were dying.
“I’m not going to live, Wednesday. It’s no use.”
Another drop of tear fell from her chin. It met your cheeks and traced its way down.
The raven haired girl failed to say anything. Everything was running through her mind, yet nothing managed to leave her lips. She couldn’t do anything– she didn’t know what to do. Her world, blurred, felt gray. Usually, she would’ve loved it. But right now, she couldn’t.
“Just– stay with me?” You pleaded, tugging her down with the last bit of strength. After a brief pause, the girl bit her lips, looking away as she nodded.
“Good. I love you.” You smiled, feeling the world closing away. Wednesday stayed frozen against you, listening to your shallow breaths fading away. She heard your last breath– and she heard the last beat of your heart. She stayed until your hearing was no longer– and stayed until your skin was one with the snow– until even her touches were warm against yours.
On the ground that day, Wednesday remembered how cold snow could be.

Epilogue of the mute series
“What about you, do you love me too?”
A beat of silence passed before Wednesday broke it again.
“..yes.”
Wednesday Addams x fem! Reader
Warmth, you realized.
It was getting warm.
The fresh aroma of rain took over your senses as you opened the lock of your window, blissful winds weaving through your hair as it collided with the atmosphere of your room. The specks of ice that once flickered down to earth had now turned into raindrops, growing daisies from the lively soil.
Sprouts started to stir awake, readying to pop out of the cozy blanket that kept it warm throughout the winter. Ants started to climb out of its dwellings, already trailing in a thin line– tracing their way through, rousing the resting world around them.
And you– well, the ants failed to wake you yet.
How tempting it was to lie under the covers and drift off to endless sleep. To close your eyes and let the world continue, while you lie there, your legs intertwined with your lover’s.
“Close the window.” Wednesday ordered, her eyebrows furrowed from the sudden wind in her dorm. You smiled lovingly at your girlfriend– she looked beautiful even when she’s half awake.
“Of course.” You said, closing the window back to its original place. With a lingering smile, you brushed your hair back, your eyes tracing the raven haired girl’s features.
She frowned. “Don’t stand there.”
You let out a laugh. “Then what should I do?”
She gave you a glare, and you raised your hands up defeatedly. “Alright, love. Got the message.”
plopping onto the mattress, you slide into the blankets, burying your face into her neck. “I love you.”
With a silent hum, she acknowledged your confession.
Not satisfied, you pulled away, your hands on her shoulders as you forced your eyes on hers.
“What about you, do you love me too?”
A beat of silence passed before Wednesday broke it again.
“..yes.”

Ghostly confessions
Tumblr media
Last part of the mute series
“You can talk– why aren't you talking to me?”
Wednesday x fem! Reader
It was the coldest day of the year.
Even with the fluffiest blankets wrapped around you, it seemed as though you could never get enough. Frosty winds ripped through the naked branches of the woods, and the snow that once felt soft like cotton had turned hard and unforgiving, piling up until everything was covered in white carpets.
It felt as if the world had shut down. No traces of life could be found in the woods– the ruthless temperature coaxing everyone into a long, sweet pause of their life.
Your back against the wall, you grip on the blanket tightened, biting your rough, deserted lips as the cold crawled into your skin. Your breath shook as you breathed it out, and your limbs grew stiff by the chilly air.
The cold seemed to shut you down, too.
For the last few days, you spent the day skipping class, huddled up against the wall, crying until you couldn’t.
You tried to find comfort in your arms around yourself, tried to bury yourself in the forgetful snow. Usually, silence would calm your disordered thoughts– but this one didn’t.
It threw you into a stormy ocean, and you had no idea where to go without a compass leading you.
You were lost in the vast field of nothing.
“You can’t stay in there forever!” A muffled voice called out from the other side of the door, making you roll your eyes. It was your friend, again.
You pretended you were sleeping– again.
“I know you’re awake.” She sighed, then waited for your reply, only to get silence for an answer.
“Well, You have tons of assignments you have to make up. Don’t ask for my notes” you could hear her running out of patience, and winced at the bitterness in her tone. Perhaps you pushed it too far?
With that, you could hear her turning away, her footsteps fading out. You let out a sigh– your friend finally left you alone.
However, a knock at your door interrupted your short-lived celebration. You ignored it, as always. But when the person knocked again, and again, your patience ran out, making you shout,
“Go away!”
You figured it was your friend playing with you, but paused once you realized that she wasn’t the type to prank you like this.
So who was this mysterious person?
Thumping over to the door, you swung the door open– rather aggressively. A soft gasp escaped your lips when your eyes locked with hers.
Her. The one who broke your heart, but who was also your hero. Her who threw you in the middle of the ocean– her who left with the stolen compass.
After the momentary silence, your lips finally cracked open, and you found your voice again.
“..What are you doing here?”
There was something in your voice– though you couldn't pinpoint what. So many mixed feelings swirled in your chest, and it was colored with red, purple, green, with every hue of the spectrum.
She didn’t say anything. Why wasn’t she saying anything?
“You can talk– why aren't you talking to me?”
A wave of frustration and slight anger washed over you. You heard how she talked to other people, so why not you?
Why?
The anger turned into sorrow, and sorrow turned into insecurities. You were being dramatic, you knew. But the waves of emotions opened your mouth, and you were rambling without thinking.
“Do you hate me that much?” You whispered, your head now hanging low as your eyes tinted red again. You really thought you were done crying for the week.
“Did I do something wrong? Why are you like this to me?”
“I tried so hard, and you didn’t–” You breathed in.
This conversation is going nowhere, you realized.
“I loved you, Wednesday.” You said, your hands forming a fist. “If you didn’t like me, you could’ve just told me so. I know you knew about my feelings way back.”
You didn’t dare look at her. You probably looked like a mess, and you were afraid that if you stole a glance of her, your feelings would come crashing down, making you regret all the things you said.
But then, Wednesday brought her hands up to your chin, forcing your eyes on hers. Your eyes widened at the sudden motion.
Your assumptions were correct; because yes, your feelings did come crashing down, and you did regret all the things you spewed out.
With a matter of seconds, you stepped back, freeing yourself from her grip, and turned to run. Run– leave all the problems behind, running away like a loser you were.
And just as your fingers touched the door handle, a voice pierced through the silence, and it rang,
“I love you.”
Immediately, you froze in your tracks, slowly turning around to face the raven haired girl.
Seeing your round eyes, she cleared her throat, looking away. “Our feelings are mutual.”
The waves of the ocean stilled– and, what?
“What?” You managed to let out. You watched as the girl clenched her jaw, actively avoiding your gaze.
“You heard me the first time.”
It wasn’t just her confession, it was something else. Like a burst of emotions that came with her words– and it suddenly clicked– she was your soulmate.
She was your soulmate– of course she is!
“You’re–” You stumbled over your words, too shocked to say anything.
“Your soulmate.” She finished for you, “Yes, I’m your soulmate– and you are mine.”
Ah, yes. Wednesday Addams, the girl who broke your heart, the girl who saved you, was your soulmate.
“I’m not.. good with these kinds of things. I wasn’t aware of what I should do until last week happened.”
The unfortunate accident in the coffee shop. Yes, you remember.
“No one’s going to touch you like that anymore.”
With starry eyes, you met her eyes— her awfully deep, black eyes. When her gaze softened on yours, you couldn’t help holding your breath. Oh.
Oh, you’re falling in love again.
Your eyes subconsciously flicked over to her plump lips, before traveling back to her eyes.
“I’m not letting them.”
Oh no, you’re falling in love again.

Clingy Wednesday>>>
literally melted when she asked for a kiss🙁🙁 Now I have discovered my new obsession, clingy Wednesday.
In Sickness and In Health
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Yes I re-used the header. Sorry, will replace later)
|Pairing|: Wednesday Addams x gender neutral reader
|Warnings|: Soft! Wednesday Addams as usual, you guys voted on this even when I warned you it's rushed, stubborn! Wednesday Addams, Wednesday roasts even in sickness.
|Summary|: Wednesday has a cold. You are ready to be by her side.
|A/n|: Get well soon, Alex. A lil' drabble for ya!
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
Wednesday is sick.
And when she's sick, she gets very clingy. And 100% more stubborn.
You had gotten worried when Wednesday didn't come to classes all day. Bribing Enid with a bar of chocolate during a lesson, you finally obtained her whereabouts and sprinted to her dorm room.
When you arrived and knocked, there wasn't an answer. Letting yourself in, you see Wednesday on her bed with her back against you. There were tissue papers scattered across the bedding, and if Enid hadn't told you your girlfriend was sick, you would've thought she was crying.
"Don't come near me."
You stopped in your tracks; the croak in Wednesday's voice was unusual. The sneeze that followed afterward was also unexpected. You sigh into the room before making your way to her bed. The girl grabs the cover over her head.
"You're sick, aren't you?"
"No, and I said, don't come near me."
You pull the cover off her. Wednesday doesn't turn to look at you, but you can already see the deep frown growing on her face, too prideful to show you her weakened state. Your girlfriend's stubbornness perplexes you sometimes.
"Okay, then let me check," you put your hand on her forehead, and her usual cold skin was now much warmer and sweatier. "You're definitely sick."
Wednesday finally turns to look at you as she huffs, eyebrows furrowed while a slight pout grace her lips. "It's just a little cold."
"Your cheeks are flushed, Wednesday, and I hear you sniffing. You did it just now." You grab the tissue box on the bedside table, handing it to the ravenette, "Here, help yourself."
The girl begrudgingly takes some before blowing her nose quickly. "Don't you have potion-making class right now?" Wednesday asks, "I don't suppose you came here because you need to fetch any ingredients from this room."
"Well, I ditched as soon as I heard the news. I'd rather be here with you."
Wednesday scoffed at your words, but it was interrupted by another sneeze. "I don't need your help," she said while her hands reached to grab the tissue box from your hand. You pulled it away.
"Just let me help you."
"No."
The ravenette strains her arms as you step back, her jaw clenching as she realizes you're out of reach. Forcing herself out of bed, Wednesday ignores how her legs turn into noodles before throwing herself at you.
You hurriedly kept your balance and caught her just in time.
"If you don't stop this stubborn behavior of yours and let me help," you half-dragged your girlfriend back to bed, your other hand still holding the tissue box away from her, "I'll never come here ever again."
Wednesday glares at you.
"Ever." You emphasize.
She held a staring contest with you before finally blinking and turning away. "Fine."
"I'm gonna make you some porridge," you hand the box to her, "and we can cuddle afterwards."
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
"—and your eyes were pulling me in with how they reflected the fire. So I had no choice but to kiss you, and it felt right. I couldn't help it."
The stubbornness has finally melted away.
"I have to admit I was expecting a vision of you doing something psychopathic, but I'm relieved there was none."
The unintentional bite in her words has not, though.
"That's sweet, love," you smile softly at the girl laying her head on your shoulder, "which is why you should drink the tonic. How else will your cold go away?"
Wednesday furrows her brow momentarily before a mischievous look takes over her face. "A kiss, perhaps?"
"Not until you drink the tonic," you chuckle, hands coming to adjust the blanket as she sits up straighter, "Deal?"
Wednesday nods slowly, nose sniffing for the umpteenth time that night. You take the glass of the herbal liquid and carefully bring it over to her lips. The ravenette takes one sip before pulling back, face grimacing.
"The cold must've impaired my brain because the bitter taste is no longer to my liking."
You raise your eyebrow at her challengingly, and Wednesday rolls her eyes, about to lean in for another sip. "You better keep your promise because this is torture. And not the good kind."
"Drink up, Wens, and we shall see."
Wednesday immediately takes big gulps, her eyebrows furrowing deeper and deeper with each one. She pushes the glass and your hand away when she finally finishes it, head falling back to rest on the headboard.
"That was utterly gross," she grabs a tissue and wipes her mouth, "the taste is even worse than the porridge you made me eat earlier."
"You agreed to let me take care of you, remember?"
"Yes, but I didn't agree to subject myself to gustatory torture," Wednesday counters as she turns to look at you, "which is why I believe compensation is overdue."
"Fine," you disapprovingly tsk while turning off the bedside lamp before slipping down the cover, and Wednesday follows suit, wrapping the fabric around herself.
You always relent to her no matter what she does or says. Especially when she offers you such a view; her messy hair, dark brown eyes, chapped burgundy lips, and her porcelain face dusted with freckle galaxies are going to be the death of you.
"Good night, Wens," you lift her bangs, pressing a delicate kiss on her forehead. The smell of your strawberry soap still lingers when you pull back. "And you better get well soon, or I will force feed you the awful porridge you loved so much."
"Shut up."
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
A/n2: I warned you guys this is rushed as hell but thank you for trusting me so much 🥲 also I will need to rewrite this in the future 🤸‍♀️ P.s. Uterus, I hate you. Go disappear.

Your first kiss with Wednesday Addams was under the rain. How romantic.
Wednesday Addams x fem! Reader
-
The mellow sound of the soft raindrops drumming against the umbrella tickled your ears, engulfing you into a trance-like state.
Crystalline beads of the droplets teased at your hair, sliding down until there was nothing left to linger on.
You let your eyes trace the raven haired girl’s features. Just a step away was the girl, who held onto the black umbrella in between the gap of the pair’s shoulders— which sometimes brushed against— sending electricity under your skin.
Her pigtails, too, had water drops that were yet to fall— and it shined like crystals under the moonlight.
The beams of silvery spotlight kissed her stardust-covered cheeks. Your lips parted from such splendor.
Her long eyelashes batted down, before fluttering open again. Only this time, the deep, dark pupil found yours. You breathed in the humid air, thrown into a spiral by her delicate stare.
The lock of your gaze onto hers only left a luscious taste on your tongue— making you lick your lips forlornly, eager for more.
Your eyes trailed down to her plush lips. Slowly and steadily, the sounds of the raindrops contrasting against the ground deafened at your ears.
The plum hue of her lips lured you into your racing thoughts once again— making you wonder, just how easy it was to lean in and claim her lips yours.
You could see the way her slender fingers gripped her umbrella. You felt the tip of your shoulders grow damp from it being an inch over the borderline of the shield that protected you both from the rain, but never dared to step farther in. It would result in Wednesday having to step out for you, dampening her shoulders.
So as the wet cloth clung onto your skin, you turned your head towards her, stealing a glance of her once again.
You halted when you realized that she had been watching you, too. With the whip of your head, her eyes met yours.
It left you breathless— let it be the scenery, or the way her gaze fell tender onto yours.
But it was beautiful, that moment. It only lasted a millisecond, but lingered on your mind for much longer— like a polaroid that was taken at just the right timing.
“Can I kiss you?” You whispered. It was barely  audible, and was marvel how she managed to catch that with the raindrops showering around you.
She didn’t say anything back, as her lips stayed shut. But you knew better than throwing yourself in a pit of despair.
Because you saw how her gaze turned impossibly soft by your words. How her body angled to you— welcoming you into her shy embrace. Tilting her umbrella back, she led you towards her, signaling you to continue.
So without a doubt, you chased after the shelter, pressing up against her, catching her lips in yours. Her lips were sweet on yours, sweeter than you’ve ever imagined.
Addicting. The taste of her lips was so addicting.
You felt a sudden drop of rain on your cheeks. Then another, then another. You didn’t have to look to acknowledge what had happened.
Wednesday’s hands reaching for your waist, she let the umbrella fall back, not caring about the way the rain fell on you both. It didn’t matter. Not when her lips were on yours.
You didn’t break away until you were gasping for air. Then you kissed her again, again and again.
Until the rain had enveloped you, swallowing you up in that moment.
-
I love rain and I love Wednesday. Perfect combo.
This is not proofread bc of my stupid headache :) I need some sleep.

So, next week, I’ll be starting highschool (which is.. exciting? I’m very nervous.) and apparently this school I’ll be going to has dorms and does not allow phones in there! They do allow laptops/iPads but are strictly restricted??
so I won’t be able to write or post any fics until next break. However, they do allow me to come back home every month, so maybe I’ll update once a month idk </3
I don’t know how things will be in there yet— maybe it isn’t as bad as what they’re saying..? Hopefully..?
What I’m saying is if I disappear for a month don’t be concerned because it’s me stuck in that dorm 🙂
+I’m in Korea if anyone’s confused. We start our school year in feb-march.

Sweet whispers in my head.
Tumblr media
Part 4 of the mute series.
Going on a blind date to forget about the girl who broke your heart wasn’t the best choice you could’ve made.
Wednesday Addams x fem! Reader
!!warnings!! Assaults and threats. Touching without consent.
On the booth beside the cool window, you found yourself staring out, watching as the powdery snow slowly flickered down— coating the floor white. Moonlight shone over the small pieces of ice— complimenting its color. One might mistake it for the fairy dust from the way it gleamed under the glow.
Your hands melted from its hold on your warm mug. You brought it up to your lips, welcoming the sweet liquid onto your tongue.
“I’m assuming you’re..”
Snapping out of your reverie, you turned to see a boy standing by the table, posture straight with a slight smile on his lips.
“You’re Josh, yes?” You asked, standing up to greet him. Nodding, he settled down on the chair.
You peeked over your shoulder, giving your friend a nervous look. She just smiled, giving you a thumbs up.
Fuck it, you thought. Your crush doesn’t like you back, and it’s about time you get a lover.
To understand all this, you need to go back. Just a few days ago, all you did was lay on your bed, crying your eyes out. The harsh truth was a little too hard to accept.
“You can’t keep doing this.” Your friend said, resting her hand over her waist. “You can’t keep crying all day about a girl!”
You slowly shifted, emerging from the thick, fluffy blanket. You kept your face low, your hair draping over– curtaining your face from your friend’s eyes.
Seconds passed, and you still zipped your lips shut. She sighed at your messy state.
“Get up, I set you up with some boy my friend apparently knows. You need to understand that she’s not your everything.”
Your eyebrows twitched in a mix of confusion and annoyance. What?
She must have seen your expression, because she rolled her eyes, lifting the blanket off of you– forcing you awake. You frowned.
“I thought I had told you I don’t like blind dates.” You said, brushing your hair back.
“Well, I think you’re going to die if you don’t find someone new.” She stated, "If you really don’t want to go, I’ll just cancel it or something.”
You groaned. A part of you was telling you, no, just because you’ve been rejected doesn’t mean you should go on a date with someone you didn’t even know. But another part of you tried to coax you into doing it with its sweet whispers. Maybe you should go on a blind date. Maybe you’ll find your soulmate there.
The last sentence got you. Yes, maybe you’ll finally find your soulmate.
“I’ll go.”
Looking back, that wasn’t the best choice you could’ve made.
“Where’s your girlfriend?”
Wednesday growled. “She’s not my girlfriend.”
“She’s your soulmate, though.”
Seated across the dorm, Enid spinned her chair towards the raven haired girl, stretching her legs from its stiff state. She eyed her roommate as she did so, smiling smugly.
“You know, she really likes you.” Wednesday rolled her eyes.
“I am aware, stop talking if you want to keep your tongue from cutting off.”
“Just saying.” Enid shrugged, her stupid grin still not wiping off her lips. She swiped her phone from her desk, scrolling through the screen while humming a random pop song. Wednesday tried her best not to rip her ears out.
“Holy shit, wait.” The blonde exclaimed, her fingers grasping the chair arm tightly. “Wednesday. Your soulmate.”
Wednesday’s head whipped to the source of the voice. Surprisingly, you did a wonderful job at fetching her attention. “What about her?”
“She’s..” Enid dragged on, with an expression Wednesday couldn’t quite understand. “She’s on a date with Josh? Why is she on a date with him?”
“What? Who is he?”
Enid finally met her eyes. “He’s like, so famous for hating on an outcast. Why is your soulmate going on a date with him?”
Wednesday casted her eyes down. Enid squinted her eyes, eyeing her suspiciously.
“Did you—“ she started, And paused to inspect her roommate’s expression. “—You did.”
With one swift motion, Wednesday bursted out of the dorm, ignoring the yells from the blonde.
“You gotta apologize!”  her voice echoed through the empty hallways for what it seemed like eternity. She tried to not listen to it, but for the first time in her life, ignoring something was awfully hard to do.
“So what’s your hobby?” Josh said, sipping his drink— smirking as he kept his eye contact. You smiled back hesitantly.
“Well, I like drawing,” You replied, “And I like reading books.”
You swallowed uncomfortably as the boy scanned you up and down. Fiddling with your fingers under the desk, you tapped the tip of your shoes against the tiled ground.
You’re having second thoughts.
“What’s your hobby?” You asked back, watching as the boy’s lips morphed into a wicked smile— as if he’s been waiting for that question. You felt your stomach grow sick by whatever reason it might be.
“I like reading, too.” He started, “Reading about murdering outcasts is my personal favorite.”
His words didn’t really register until a few seconds later— when goosebumps scattered all around your body, when your mind screamed alarm, alarm!
With your round eyes, your gaze fell onto the table, your mouth falling agape.
Pushing up against the table, you stood up abruptly, and was about to turn away until he grasped onto your wrist, stopping from your flee.
Pulling you back, he bent over for his lips to brush onto the shell of your ear, his free arm snaking around your waist forcibly.
“You’re going to follow me outside. Try to escape and you’re dead.” He whispered, the grip on your wrist never loosening.
“Fuck you.” You gritted out, trying to squirm out of his hold. But it was no use— you only got a squeeze on your waist, a warning, you knew.
Glancing back to your friend, you stared right through her skull— trying to signal for your friend to stop talking to her friend and look at you.
Please, anything. You pleaded, anyone?
It was as if your question was answered. With a ringing of the bells, the door of the cafe opened up— revealing an awfully familiar girl.
The pigtails you learned to love. The faint freckles under her makeup.
Wednesday. It was Wednesday.
Her wide eyes found yours, softening in relief before hardening again. In less than a second, she was right beside you— forcing the lock of Josh’s grip to crack open— bringing you free.
“What the fuck, man? Who are you?” The boy exclaimed, scowling.
Now, this moment, you really thought a lot about— because often, it makes you wonder, if this hadn’t happened, would the relationship with Wednesday stay the same way it always had?
“Lay a single hair on her and I’ll kill you.” The raven haired girl threatened, swiftly reaching for her pocket to pull out an actual knife?
“And I’m not joking.” She finished, bringing the blade close to his neck. At this point, you were too bewildered to process any of this happening. Too many questions were unanswered— leaving you in complete confusion. She could talk. What?
“Help!” The boy shouted, looking around. “A girl is threatening me with a knife!”
That opened the gate to the chaos that followed. You never really remembered what happened after. Shouts here and there, hands bringing you away from her.
All through the havoc, Wednesday kept her blade up against him, glaring at him with a look that seemed like another dagger against him.
As if challenging him— you realized. Challenging him to do it again and see what’ll happen after.
Finally, your legs gave up, and you dropped onto your knees, hugging your arms. Letting out a shaky breath, you blinked, letting the tear fall.
The tears dropped. Then another, then another.
Biting your lips, you refrained from your cries to escape. But the tears didn’t stop.
It didn’t stop.

How to get your crush to like you back? It’s not hard– according to the sites you visited on google. Sure, she might have ignored you a few times, might dislike you a tiny bit. But it was alright, you could get her to like you. You think.
Your eyes found the raven haired girl who was seated across the room. You could do this.
1.put yourself out there.
“Wednesday, I heard of a new movie coming out this month.”
Wednesday lifted her head, looking up from her book. She furrowed her eyebrows, as if she’s not getting what you’re trying to say.
“Wanna watch it? together, I mean.”
You watched as her features hardened at your words. Uh oh.
She grabbed her pen that was rolling around on the desk, before scribbling on her paper. Once she had finished, she held it up to your eyes, almost too close for you to read.
No.
You smiled through the pain. Well, it was worth a try.
2. find out what your crush is passionate about.
“The only thing she loves is her dead scorpion.”
You groaned, slapping your hand over your head. “There must be something she likes that I can talk about without being uncomfortable!”
Enid shrugged, scrolling through her phone. sprawled over her mattress, you peeked through your fingers, staring at the ceiling above.
“Well, she certainly likes writing violent novels and pla—” Your friend’s words were cut off from the swing of the door. The pair jumped from the bed, snapping their heads towards the sudden motion.
“Wednesday!” Enid chuckled, “We were just talking about you.”
The girl gave her a look, making her smile awkwardly. You could tell what she was thinking by that glare– it was obvious she wasn’t expecting you here, and didn’t want you to be here. Through that hurt like needles onto your heart, you managed to keep your face calm.
“So um, wednesday, what do you like?” You asked, sitting upright with your legs crossed. The girl’s glare traveled from the blonde to you, and you gulped under the tense air.
She kept her eyes fixated on you for a moment– before rolling her eyes, pulling her note and her pen out of her pocket. You gulped as the silence continued.
My favorite hobby happens to use a knife and a shovel.
You raised your eyebrows. Okay, she doesn’t want to talk to you at the moment. Got the message.
3. make eye contact.
Wednesday’s sharp and unnerving look flashed in your mind. You laughed anxiously just by the memory of it.
Nope, not happening. You think, as you scrolled through the lists on wikihow.
4. Talk to your friend about them.
This will help you get a third person’s point of your relationship with your crush. Who knows, they might like you back!
“Hey, do you think Wednesday likes me? She ignores me a little, turns down all my attempts to hang out with her, but she could be a hard to get kind of girl for all I know.”
Your friend tore her eyes away from her screen, turning to face you. You looked at her full of hope, almost pleading.
“I—“ she started, but was stopped by a figure passing by. Your attention was immediately drawn from her as you gasped.
“Wednesday! How are you today?” You beamed, your voice ringing through the hallways.
It was either that your voice couldn’t be heard by her from the sea of people that surrounded you— or she just didn’t feel like talking to you. But she brushed past, not even giving you a glance.
You pouted, watching as the raven haired girl made her way through. “She’s just shy.”
“You know what?” Your friend said, “I was going to say that you’re right, she could be one of those hard to get girls, but I’m sorry, I personally think she hates you.”
You whined.
5. Touch incidentally.
Your heart was beating so fast you could almost hear it pounding loudly in your ears. Slowly, you slid your fingertips towards Wednesday.
Your fingertips met hers with electricity all over your skin. You shivered slightly.
Peering over, you studied her expression. Nothing. It was neutral, not changing, just her usual poker face.
You were wondering if she didn’t notice the touch until she pulled away, standing up from her chair, dusting her uniform before walking away.
Did you get rejected? You think so.
6. Tell her how much you appreciate her.
Your words were stolen from you the second you locked eyes with her. Moonlight kissing her skin, her hair cupping her face so, so beautifully you forgot how to talk once again.
She was exquisite.
“Um,” you stuttered, “I just wanted to say that—“
You glanced at her dark lips. The butterflies went frenzy in your stomach.
She raised her brows, running out of patience.
“Nothing.” You managed, “I forgot what I was gonna say.”
You kept your smile on as the girl walked away.
You chickened out. What a shame.
7. Spend time with her.
“Wednesday, are you—“
Your hands still gripped on the door handle, you halted in surprise. No one was in the dorm? Why wasn’t Wednesday there? She should’ve been here, waiting for your presence. It was the last day for her to meet you— well, last day for the project, anyways.
Your eyebrows knitted in confusion, you scanned the room, looking for anything she could’ve left behind. Maybe she left for some water?
Cautiously, you stepped into the room before spotting a note on her desk. Ah ha, you cheered mentally. She did leave you something after all.
Excited, you made your way to the desk, picking the small paper up for you to see.
Your grin faded away as soon as you read it.
I understand that you like me, but I do not take an interest in you. Please stop hoping, I am not your soulmate, and is not yours.
It was like being kicked in your guts. Yes, you realized, she’s not your soulmate. She was never your soulmate. She will not love you, and she doesn't feel the same way as you did.
Your little fantasy came crashing down, and it hurt. More than you’d like to admit.
You didn’t even notice your vision blurring up. The crack in your heart pained you so much, it distracted you from the teardrops falling down your cheeks.
She was never your soulmate. What were you thinking, hoping?
Soft whimpers leaving your lips, your mind chanting the same words over and over again. She was never yours. She was never yours.
She was never yours.
