A massive problem faced by using tumblr is that they censor content that they feel doesn’t meet the guidelines of there platform. Saying this that means anything that could even possibly stray from these Guidelines will be taken down and be placed for an appeal.
This is big at the moment as the internet are making big changes to censor sensitive content from the forever growing younger audience due to it being so much more accessible these days.
Is an American multimedia and installation artist, having studied at the california institute of the arts he covers a range of mediums in his practice working with video, sculpture installation, performance and painting.
Like this example his work is creepy, makes you ask questions but yet the way it’s done is professional and I can imagine if those images were to move it would be even creepier. But saying that I still admire this work and would say it’s similar to that of Pipilotti Rists installations in the style however his pieces are less immersive in my opinion.
Peter Fischli and David Weiss were an artist duo, they were very well known and respected artists from Switzerland in the late 70’s and 80’s.
They specialised in film making.

This 3:12 long video called ‘The way things go’ is so impressive, the way each section of the journey is thought out is so detailed and amazing.
I would love to experiment with this sort of creativity however I think it takes so much skill and practice to achieve the levels that Peter and David are able to achieve.
I love how their work really makes you sit back and say wow.
I chose this video because it’s one that links most closely to the topic journey, they have other films that link more loosely like the right way, that features two people dressed as a panda and a bear thing. They’re still on a journey but a much lesser one.
Pipilotti Rist is a visual artist she works very much installationally within exhibitions and is known for creating amazing experiential video art.
She often includes herself in her work whether it be singing or a self portrait.
I agree with other people’s opinions after looking at some of it and having it described as intimate and abstract, I like how her work is very empowering for females.
I love the colours that she uses, the bright vibrant tones are striking and make the pieces even more absorbing as you walk into them; it’s as tho you’re transported to another place as you walk into one of her installations.
Being a younger artist her slightly feminist undertones are in time with this era as we are all trying to push women up and strive towards equality.
An American-born British screenwriter, film director, animator, actor, comedian and former member of the Monty Python comedy troupe, Gilliam has directed 12 feature films.
His Monty Python animations are nothing short of iconic, and are in this time still really well known.
I like them because they have an old timey feel and their unique style was before its time in that eara.
For research into this project I wanted to look at the different types of animation as well as artists that have done work similar to that of the topic for this project.
After finishing the project, my reflection of it was both positive and negative. I approached it with a optimistic mind set, knowing that I was new and not very good at 3D art. However, this did not stop me from exploring the different ways of experimenting with 3D art and fully threw myself into it as best as I could. Whilst doing this, I found that I began to enjoy making 3D art as it is completely different to 2D pieces. But despite the difference, they can also be merged together, or used side by side.
I think I could've done better in the final piece, finishing my model and being more organised and ready for the assembly and creation of it; but I think this overall was down to time management and focusing too much on research rather than the all important final result. I think I could've benefited from jotting down more ideas for the final result and being less critical on these, and waiting until I chose one before I become too perfectionist.
we made 15cm by 15cm cubes from a range of different chip board pieces, after putting together the cubes, with screws (put in using a handheld drill, screws and making pilot holes for the screws), we had to dismantle it and make it into a sculpture of our choice using the same pieces we used to put together the initial cube.
