I started drawing this ages ago, but only recently, with Rainbow’s tweets about AWTWB being about emotional and physical intimacy, did I think it was time to finish it. This is one of those unsung intimate moments between Simon and Baz in Wayward Son, notable for all the ways it shows that there is indeed intimacy there, but it’s stunted by their individual issues. Baz resists being undressed because it will reveal both his indestructibility and his wounds. Simon wants to comfort Baz but has no idea how to cross that threshold. And yet, despite everything, the wounds are laid bare and Simon’s hands are coated in the evidence of their inescapable proximity to each other.

“Malfoy,” Potter whispered, interrupting Draco’s thoughts.

“Mm?”

“Why are you doing this?”

“You’re going to have to be more specific.”

“I don’t know. Like…caring for me.” Potter’s voice was so low that Draco barely caught the words.

It was a good question, and one Draco didn’t have a ready answer for, save for Potter being so helplessly lost and unwittingly gorgeous. Draco kissed the man’s neck again. He liked the warmth of the skin beneath his touch.

“Because it was clear someone needed to,” he said, “and I never trust others to properly handle the most crucial of tasks.”

Rec Notes:

I absolutely adored A Forward Path by umbrellaless22 and this fic has been on my MFL for wayyyyy too long. So, when I got the Epilogue Compliant card, I knew this was the fic I was going to read. 

This was such a treat to read (seriously, I don’t think I’ve burned through 100k that quickly in a long time). It’s Epilogue Compliant but not Cursed Child Compliant, so we have a divorced Draco with Scorpius, and Auror Harry (on paternity leave). Harry is newly single and out of his depth with four children (the fourth is a brand-new baby named after Remus). He gets saddled with Scorpius Malfoy for a fortnight (Ginny agreed to the arrangement before she walked out on their marriage) bringing Draco Malfoy into Harry’s life. Add in animosity coloured with mutual intrigue, and Scorpius with a mysterious illness, and you have a fic that I could not put down. 

The Drarry in this was smoking hot (complete with magical bondage), but equally compelling was the lovely domesticity of this story. I loved seeing slices of Harry’s life with his kids, and Draco with Scorpius (and a lovely dash of Pansy). I just adored how Draco stepped up and helped Harry in his time of need, and the whole concept of Draco holding and feeding Harry’s baby like it was his own just tugged at my heartstrings. This is a truly lovely fic that I highly recommend (and there’s a sequel currently being written!!!)

Hello, wonderful readers. It’s Mod Blue and Mod Julia.

It’s come to our attention that a Mod who has not been active since the both of us came on board  in 2017 has been boasting on Twitter about deleting posts featuring content they consider unwanted.  

We were completely unaware than this was going on, and we are horrified beyond words. You’ll recall we made a stance against censorship part of our mission statement, and we stand by that unequivocally. What this person has been doing is inexcusable. Because of this we are taking drastic measures to make sure that this cannot happen again.

Because of the way Tumblr is set up, we cannot remove a Mod from the Library. They can only remove themselves. This means that, to make sure they no longer have access to content going forward, we have to move the Library.

Going forward, our new address will be https://stuckylibrary.tumblr.com/. Mod Blue and Mod Julia, as the only remaining active mods, will be moving with the Library. Everyone else is staying behind. We can’t do anything to absolutely keep the content of the old Library blog safe, but at least we’ll be able to safeguard the new one.

We’ll be reblogging content for the next few days and weeks, so sorry if we flood your dashes for a while. Maybe you’ll rediscover some old favourites or fall in love with something new.
