“My Journey towards Business world”
Truly indeed that everything is unexpected and there is always success in perseverance and hard work.
I’ve really learned a lot from the resource speaker most especially about succeeding in the entrepreneurial world. I can really relate to what the speakers are talking about because I’ve been in a family who owns a small business, and I was there since child, seeing the flow of our business, I have been also part of the operations just like repairing gadgets and more. I learned that in business the very goal of it is to gain profit, business was built because people want to earn money.
Our family started by selling rice and other home needs from our grandma, I saw both of my parents persevere every day they worked just to sustain our needs as a child and at the same time as a student. Time passed by we slowly have our own business until my father decided to open a cellphone repair shop, that was made into action and it was the store that help us siblings go to school, let my mother finish another degree, and as well as my older sister. Now, our store is still present and not big still small but can really provide our needs.
My mind about business was developed when I started to work in a certain coffee shop where I learned a lot, just like for example is costing of products, how much is the profit, and if really the store could really take a profit with deductions of the expenses.
This time my mind was again enlightened, we should not stop until we reach the so-called success, and this time I feel like I am competent enough to manage a business.

“Understanding the Needs of Students in Financial Need”
 February 26, 2023
As we delve into the needs of students in financial need, it's important to first define our hypothesis: “Providing a platform that connects students to part-time job opportunities that match their skills and schedule can help alleviate their financial difficulties, improve their skills, and support their academic success”.
Tumblr media
To test this hypothesis, our team would need to create a platform that caters to the needs of students in financial need. We would need to ensure that the platform is user-friendly and accessible to students of all backgrounds and academic levels. Additionally, we would need to market the platform effectively to reach the target audience of students seeking financial aid.
After creating the platform, our team would need to assess its effectiveness in addressing the needs of students in financial need. We could do this by monitoring the number of students who sign up for the platform, the number of job opportunities available, and the number of successful matches between students and employers. We could also conduct surveys and interviews with students who use the platform to gain insight into their experiences and whether or not the platform helped them alleviate their financial difficulties.
Based on the data collected, our team would need to make a decision on whether or not to continue with the platform. If the data shows that the platform is effective in helping students in financial need, we could consider expanding it to reach a wider audience. If the data shows that the platform is not effective, we would need to re-evaluate our approach and make changes to better address the needs of students in financial need.
Tumblr media
In making our team's decision, it's important to consider the impact of the platform on students. Our goal is to create a platform that not only addresses the financial needs of students but also helps them improve their skills and support their academic success. We must ensure that the platform aligns with our values and mission of supporting students in their academic pursuits.
In conclusion, understanding the needs of students in financial need through an empathy map can help us create a platform that addresses their needs effectively. By defining our hypothesis, testing it through the creation of a platform, and making a team decision based on the data collected, we can support students in their academic pursuits and help alleviate their financial difficulties. Our goal is to create a platform that not only provides job opportunities but also improves the lives of students in need.

“Unlocking Entrepreneurial potential”
As a student in the second semester, I have the privilege of participating in an exciting and impactful activity that focuses on the entrepreneurial mind. This activity involves interviewing 50 individuals per week about the problems they have faced in their entrepreneurial journeys. Our goal is to gain a deeper understanding of these challenges and find creative solutions that can help these entrepreneurs overcome them.
In this blog, I will share my journey as a student, diving into the entrepreneurial mind and exploring the common obstacles that entrepreneurs face. I will also share some of the innovative solutions that we have come up with in our quest to help these entrepreneurs break down barriers and achieve success. So, join me on this exciting journey as we unlock the entrepreneurial potential of individuals and help shape the future of business.
The first thing that the group did was that we made a hypothesis and come up with the hypothesis:
- “The widespread adoption of the "Call for Wang Wang" application among college students will result in a significant decrease in the frequency and severity of harassment incidents, and will provide a quick and effective means for students to access help in emergency situations, leading to a safer and overall improvement in safety and well-being inside the campus." -
The group made this hypothesis it’s because we think that harassment and other crimes are again in rise in the community.
For our group to test if it coincides with our hypothesis, we took an interview about 50 persons every week inside Central Mindanao University and write their answers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Initially, our hypothesis was that harassment was a major problem for people in CMU. However, after conducting numerous interviews, we found that the main issue that community(Students) faced was financial problems. This led us to revise our hypothesis and focus our efforts on finding solutions to help them overcome these financial obstacles.
One of the solutions that our group came up with was the creation of an application called "StuJob" with a supporting hypothesis: - “The implementation of the "StuJobs" application will significantly increase the job opportunities and job satisfaction for college students, resulting in a positive impact on their financial stability and overall college experience.” -
The purpose of this application is to connect students with businesses that are in need of their services, providing entrepreneurs with a low-cost and reliable source of labor. The app also provides students with an opportunity to earn money while gaining valuable experience in the entrepreneurial world. By connecting students with businesses, “StuJob” helps to alleviate some of the financial problems that entrepreneurs face and provides a mutually beneficial solution for both students and entrepreneurs.
Lesson learned:
One key lesson learned from this experience was the importance of conducting thorough research and gathering data before forming conclusions or making assumptions. Our initial hypothesis was based on our own perceptions and beliefs, but after conducting numerous interviews with entrepreneurs, we discovered that financial problems were actually the main issue they faced. This realization emphasized the importance of gathering data and speaking with those who are directly affected by a problem before making conclusions or taking action.
