So one of my neighbors has a lawn Roomba or whatever they're called, and this thing trundles around looking like a background robot in the background of the original trilogy, and ABSOLUTELY BAFFLING THE DOGS.

They have concluded, I think, that it's some kind of prey animal because right after this video ended they decided to crouch down and stalk it, which means I'm 90% sure I'm going to have to stop Arwen from eating it at some point.

Personal history: These Docs (20" tall Dr. Martens boots) are 25-30 years old. I just had them resoled and now they're back in action! Loads of my History in this particular set of footwear. I've lived on the street in them. Hitchhiked across country in them. Met my all three of my wives in them (no regrets, I'll always remember nothing but the beauty), and I headlined my very first concert event in them (My life's ambition momentarily realized and still sought after). These days everything is so disposable. Another person would have probably gotten rid of these things 20 years ago when the soles became thin and sprouted holes. Yes, it's true, anyone who knows me can easily tell you I've got many other sets of tall boots. I love the look and the feel of them. But I always intended to fix these Docs up when they wore out and put them back into service. Now they'll be my new work boots since I had oil/heat/slip resistant soles installed. These boots have been a part of me since I bought them. And they're starting to take on my characteristics. Because they're older doesn't mean they're useless. In fact they've come through age much better than many other newer boots I've owned. This is a feet since there was a 10 year period when I wore nothing but my Docs! Now they'll carry me through a job I completely love! So, like my boots with their new soles, I'm undertaking a fresh start. I've got my book published (flaws and all) so now my task is to record the 14 songs I wrote for the story; And eventually my task will be to make and star in the movie based on it. Can't you see it? Gothic Rock Star vs Nuclear Zombies! ME vs melties! This needs to happen! #dreamersalwaysdream I'm not about "disposable culture." I deplore the idea of getting a thing only to throw it out as soon as a newer thing is made. I always thought, "why not just improve the old thing and make it new again?" First 'things' become obsolete with age then humans fall by the wayside when they're thought to be too old or not perceived as useful as the younger humans. I think that's bullshit so I choose another point of view. See this lump of black fur upon my porch couch? He's my feral black cat. I once caught him trying to eat my budgie, Jareth. Instead of getting mad I started feeding the lil fella. He's a very hungry little beastie, always. I shake the food bag and he comes around. We've grown a little closer. It went from him running away when I'm near, to not stepping on the porch when I'm there, to him now claiming the couch as his own and standing patiently while I pour his food. I've started calling him "Bast." I hope I can pet him one day. But that's all up to Mr. Bast. Okaaaay, so Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney (Harley Quinn & Captain Boomerang respectively) aside, they were brilliant, there wasn't much that was special about the movie Suicide Squad. There was more that was embarrassing. Examples? Fine: Floating Garbage in the sky is a doomsday machine??? Joker isn't the main villain???? THE JOKER is reduced to being a lovesick thug??? The entirety of Task Force X plus the Joker never squares off against BATMAN????? -Not even once? Not even for 10 brutal seconds??? COME THE FUCK ON!!! So I watched Batman: Assault on Arkham again last night and realized there's a reason I keep rewatching it over Suicide Squad when I want a Batty fix involving Harley Quinn and the Joker. (I also own the director's cut of Suicide Squad which gives Katana and Killer Croc a bit more breadth, but that's about it) The reason I like Assault on Arkham over Suicide Squad is because it's actually entertaining! It's fun! It's true to the comics while being is own incarnation. And the Harley Quinn drinking (or smoking) game for that movie (every time she laughs) will get you COMPLETELY RIPPED!!!😂 😂 😂 I was SO EXCITED for a live action Suicide Squad motion picture. I love the concept, I love the comics and I adore the animated incarnations. I loved the list of actors. Will Smith? Viola Davis?? Jared Leto?? BEN AFFLECK??? They're fucking amazing! This movie should have been a glass-breaking SLAM DUNK!!! I try to rewatch Suicide Squad out of loyalty to the comics and adoration for Margot Robbie's take on her character, she was fantastic, but I end up scratching my head too much to be entertained. So, for now, I'll just stick with Assault on Arkham for my Task Force X fixes. Mind you, I've got high hopes for the upcoming Birds of Prey movie.
