>On one oar I want to complain about things being boring around here because nothing has really been happening besides the usual. On another I think that would just be asking for something bad to happen, ranging from inconvenience to yet another threat on a planetary scale. This is the peace all true warriors strive for, but I’m not a warrior so maybe the rules shouldn’t apply to me and I should be able to complain about it. Hmmm…

>"Where's Scope Shot?" "What ever happened to Scope Shot?" "Why did you get rid of Scope Shot?" Scope Shot is not gone forever, I just decided to revoke blaster privileges until people learned to stop trying to shoot or blind each other. And some other reasons. I understand what the designers were going for, but maybe taking combat training exercises and making them look and sound like silly little games wasn't the greatest idea in the world. Sure, it made them nicer for crews of hypothetical long-term missions who needed to stay in shape and maintain their skills in a way that was enriching, but... Actually, I suppose the issue is more to do with the fact that the primary group using them nowadays consists of basically anyone but the types of people they were intended for, not just the gamification of potentially dangerous activities.
>Oh well, I've done what I can to mitigate potential injury on my side of things. Can't do anything about the Magoland recreations, though... Or the popular Hit Bombs At Each Other With Frying Pans sport. Or the sport where you try not to fall into a pit while your friends try to make you fall in a pit and you try to make them fall in a pit. Maybe I am overthinking about safety concerns, but personally I think others aren't thinking enough about safety.
>It is fun to watch footage, though...

Hi!! Are you able to take photos??
>Yes, though whether they come out normal or borderline incomprehensibly blurry depends on whether I take a picture of what my navigational cameras see or what I’m seeing.

do yu have a favorite memory lor?
>I have a lot of memories and trying to pick a favorite would be very difficult. Both in processing terms and just because I like different things about different memories and I couldn’t possibly choose between them.
>… Actually seeing Magolor for the first time is definitely an important one to me, though. Before then, I’d spent almost a month talking and interacting with him, knew what he sounded like, how he describe himself… But I only had a very vague and detached idea of how he looked— no face to put to any of it. I could have gotten a look at him earlier, but he insisted on waiting until he’d recovered more. To put it mildly he arrived in pretty rough shape, and it took a while for him to feel like he looked how he was “supposed to”, but that’s what he wanted.

Hey Lor, what do you consider art?
>“Art” can be a lot of things, really. An award-winning book by an accomplished author, or the almost unreadable scribbles of a child still learning how to write. An expertly rendered still-life painted over the course of weeks, or a doodle on a stickynote made during someone’s 15-minute break at work. A poem written from someone’s heart, or hot dog fall off bun directly into storm drain. Creating in itself is an art! Being is art! Maybe not all of it is easy to understand, or maybe it doesn’t all have anything to be understood, but just about anything can be art.

>Implying that is anything but a compliment. Though, in my defense, you talked about your eye first. I wasn’t making fun of that, I just wanted an excuse to complain about the fact that I can’t see well. Colors? Great! Defined shapes? Not so much! Anything past my deck is just a bunch of blobs of color. Not to the point that it’s dangerous for me to go places, I can still see in terms of spacial awareness for the most part. Explaining exactly how that works would require getting into detail regarding the fact that much of my data intake is separated and interacts differently with my AI as a result, but for the sake of simplicity let’s just say I have several sets of cameras on my dome that allow me to see, but the set that’s supposed to let me see and process things in a manner similar to a regular person wasn’t calibrated right.
I am very thankful for this website allowing me to indulge in delight at creatures (boats)
What is the Lor Starcutter?
-Alive in all ways except the cellular sense
-Utilizes energy and requires it to function successfully
-Capable of complex activities, like locomotion, sight, speech, and decision making
-Participates in play behavior
Tumblr media
-Has wings
-Friend shaped
-Super duper cool and awesome all around
Conclusion: the Lor Starcutter is a Creature. Probably some kind of very large bug if one considers her oars to be analogous to legs, her lack of a skeleton in favor of a hard exterior, and the presence of wings. Wow!
