The Audre Lorde Project is a Brooklyn, New York-based organization for LGBT people of color. The organization concentrates on community organizing and radical nonviolent activism around progressive issues within New York City, especially relating to LGBT communities, AIDS and HIV activism, pro-immigrant activism, prison reform and organizing among youth of color. It is named for the lesbian-feminist poet and activist Audre Lorde and was founded in 1994.

Just want to point out: The entire art team is gone now! Only Fez remains and none of us know a damn thing about. But wow you gotta be a real piece of work to still refuse to recognize you're in the wrong even when you've lost basically your entire art team, writer, several mods, and numerous players. Anyways, shoutouts to everyone who has resigned, been demoted, simply left, or been banned/suspended!

thank you so much for all of your hard work and effort, neq; your skills and your input really helped to improve the site and brought much joy to everyone with each update !!! i only wish you well for the future !!!

like many others, here’s my final farewell to the site.

in case you don’t know me, I was neq 39770, a site artist for a few years. I worked on a decent portion of the ice release, and contributed a fair number of common/event items. I think my personal favorites were the masquerade masks and golden halo. while I cannot say my experience working for mweor was a net positive, I definitely enjoyed the process of working on art for a sim site and would definitely do so again if the opportunity presented itself (wink). this site meant a lot to me once, and all of my online friendships can be traced back to it one way or another. I hate what it’s become.

in any case, I’ve sent an email to kah making my stance clear and officially severing myself from the site team. I’ve suspected for a long time, but it’s incredibly upsetting to have been seen as an asset to her for so long, while knowing she privately condemns my lived experience. 

on the slim chance anyone is remaining, I’ll gladly part with everything on my account (except my sentimental customs that are not up for sale), which includes 285 mp, four marble customs, and a full inventory of common/rare/event items for just $60. 

on a last note, if we ever chatted on mweor, or you remember my art, or anything, feel free to reach out to me. the site and its leadership may have sucked (more than I can even put into words), but I made so many positive connections with the people who played it, and I’d hate to see that all end.
