Ty | she/her | Welcome to my Sanders Sideblog | I post fics | DM me prompts and I’ll try to actually write them lol | My main blog is @boldly-going-off | My Wattpad is @Bookl0ver_241 but I don’t have any fics on there yet lol
And thank you, for everything, Thomas. You’ve changed so many people for the better and helped us learn things about ourselves that we may never have learned if not for your wonderful, lovable characters, your brilliant storytelling, and your general amazingness. Thank you for everything ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Am I the only one that’s really disappointed with the lack of Patton appreciation in the fandom? Honestly, I don’t even understand why so many people are so furious with him, and what the hype is with unsympathetic!Patton???
Everything he does is for Thomas. Morality is hard, and Patton is trying to come to terms with the fact that a lot of things aren’t black and white. He’s having to unlearn this because he thinks that he has to be certain of everything and be strict because that’s his job. He wants to apply moral rules to everything so he can be the best for Thomas and the other Sides, because he loves them so freaking much, and we all know how hard he is on himself when he doesn’t do something right. He’s doing his best, and his heart is in the right place, even if he’s made some mistakes and accidentally caused some damage. I just wish people would be more forgiving.
Anyway, this ends my Patton Appreciation Rant. Have a lovely day!
Isn’t today such a great day for some Patton positivity? Such as that he is sweet and wonderful and might not have a filter but is actively working on it, as seen by the fact that his last truly horrible act was done over a year ago? Also, hugs.
EVERY DAY IS SUCH AN INCREDIBLE DAY TO APPRECIATE PATTON AND HOW HARD HES TRYING FOR HIS FELLOW SIDES AND HIS HOST!! WOWWIE WHAT A DAD!! In all honesty, if anything bad ever happened to him, I’d cry. Straight up.
Me, before POF/SvSR: Aah, the reason they needed to introduce Remus before SvS part 2 was probably because we’re going to visit Roman’s room this episode and as both of them are Creativity they probably share a room! :D
Me, after POF/SvSR: ….the reason they needed to introduce Remus first was to show Roman’s relationship with good and evil as well as his struggle with these concepts and how he perceives himself - something he probably wasn’t really sure of given the experiences and mistakes he made as well the set backs he suffered in preceding episodes. He wants to believe himself a good guy, so he depends on Patton and especially on Thomas for guidance in that regard. He might think that as long as he has Thomas’ approval he must be one of the good guys, too, right? This may have been his last frame of reference on where he actually stands. However, it all eventually came to a head when Janus compared him to Remus and this time neither Patton nor Thomas defended him, but actually seemed to be on Janus’ side from what Roman could tell. And when he understood Janus’ nod following Thomas’ statement that Roman still was his hero as a lie and thus confirmed his fear that he is in fact not Thomas’ hero anymore, it was the final blow. Because what does it say about himself when he lost that status with the person he understood to be good?
