Vinyl hunting in Okinawa led me to some cool looking stores. First was the 24hr vintage mega store Manga Souko at Yogi (1-2) which had a large hip hop and RnB selection, some 80s stuff, jazz and classic rock. Then the next day, I found the vibes aplenty Enbanya Records (3-6) with a hip collection of jazz and soul paired with a liquor bar. After chatting with the owner to try to find out where the record stores are, and sadly finding out that there weren’t many, I went on a quick drive to Manga Souko at Urasoe (7-8) where I found my sole record purchase of a Françoise Hardy album. Urasoe Dai Park is the 4th amazing playground that we’d checked out in Okinawa and the 1st for Luca to have the guts to try the flying fox slide. Once he literally got the hang of it, he just kept on going. He now says that it’s his fave thing during this trip. (at Urasoe-shi, Okinawa, Japan)

The playgrounds in Okinawa have been pretty impressive so far. This is the 2nd one we checked out, and thankfully on a cloudy day. High on a hill, Nakagusuku Park comprises 3 playgrounds with the biggest being the Big Top that has stretched tarpaulin trampolines with layers of netting below and slides all around. Small sculptures surround the main structure with different activities including one with a telescope. (at Nakagusuku Trampoline Park)
