Cutting shapes... We busted out the scroll saw and paint to create a dozen or so of these fun blocks. The shapes are inspired by @cardcutzshop Neoteric playing cards and we love the 80’s postmodern vibes they’re serving up. The deck is made in collaboration with designer @hugo.spiers. Got a few strange looks while bashing this football around Brooklyn to give it that beat up look. This was for a full page editorial we created with ESPN for an article titled “Cracking the Injury Code” describing how player injuries can effect your Fantasy Football team’s performance in a bad way. This little dude crashes like every photo shoot. He’s pretty stubborn, so we typically humor him, take a few shots, show him the back of the camera and tell him how great he looks… and then he leaves on his own. Entry 01 - ‘Drops’ 2 of 3 // To create the props for this set, we used the shapes from the card back as inspiration, tracing them onto pink styrofoam board and cutting them out with a jig-saw.
