I absolutely love the little kitties designs! How long does it take you to draw them? Also, i always come on here like at least once an hour to see if my favorite posters (ofc this includes you!) have posted, and when you have, it literally makes my day!!

For designing, idk how long exactly but I sketch a few ideas, leave, it come back and keep messing with it till their shapes feel right. For example, here is first couple Gentlefur before I settled on his shapes. dont have more saved but I went through diff colors and markings too

I like to keep it simple so when I draw them in for the moons they dont take forever to color lol I have future characters already in their concept stages. I don't wanna wait until they show up to do it. For Little and Deer I didn't spend a lot of time on their designs but you can see how I tweeked them to their current designs through the moons.

I draw as a hobby and have other things that take up time, and sometimes I wanna draw other stuff, so I don't spend a ton of time worrying about tiny details, just wanna be able to tell the story I wanna tell :) Really glad y'all are enjoying it so far!

Hey! Just sorta asking around to my fave Clangen blogs since I'm interested in starting my own-Do you use classic mode or expanded mode? I feel like w/ classic not enough happens, and with expanded TOO many cats die. But w/ classic I also face the problem of my Clans becoming so overpopulated so quickly that it's hard to make a story and choose what to focus on. Maybe I just need to turn off the ability to have kits w/ an unknown partner? Idk, just looking for ppls opinions/preferences for a story-centric Clangen run!

I run on expanded mode, and once I got a certain number of cats I turned on mass extinction events lol which surprisingly left me alone for a long time

Also yes turn off kits with unknown partner. or only turn it on to let it happen once or twice then off again.

Deaths are a big part of clangen stories for sure. Depending how they happen you can weave a story out of it.

Uh Oh!

It's come to our attention that anti-virus programs, most recently and commonly Windows Defender, have been quarantining files from the game for a lot of players, including the .exe file. This is likely because of changes within those programs and something we have no control over and can't stop from happening, unfortunately 😭 Instead we're going to tell you how you can get past this yourself if you are encountering this issue while using Windows Defender. Do note that this may not work for 3rd-party anti-virus programs. This is also a reminder to be kind to our tech-helpers while asking for technical help in our Discord!

Open Settings on your device and navigate to the tab called "Privacy and security".

Go to "Virus & threat protection"

Look for and go to "Protection History" under the Quick Scan button.

You should see Clangen listed here, under "Affected items" or "Threat quarantined". It should say the location of your Clangen game folder and the file that disappeared (Don't act on it if you see a file that isn't inside your Clangen game folder). Click on the "Actions" button menu and choose "Restore".

Go back to "Virus and threat protection" screen and from there, to "Manage settings".

Under "Exclusions", go to "Add or remove exclusions"

Choose from the "+ Add an Exclusion" dropdown to exclude a "Folder".

Choose the game folder that your Clangen game resides in. Finished! You should in most cases be able to play the game again. This is not the first time anti-virus programs have falsely flagged the game as a threat, but we assure you, it is not one. Thank you for your patience and we hope you have the best time playing Clangen!! 😸
