LGBT persecution by Nazis, especially trans persecution, is an area of the Holocaust that remains under-researched and under-documented. Historians are working hard to identify trans and queer victims and to illuminate their life stories. If you are at all interested in this, it's something you can do, too. Research for all!

i don't know how you managed to write such a detailed breakdown in so few words I swear it's taken me 45 minute rambles to cover those same points. You're so fuckin real for it tho.

Yeah yeah bloodborne is about periods and childbirth but did you notice that Amelia is the one of the only woman beasts and that this may in fact be further commentary on the roles of women in male-created systems of power? Did you connect the beasthood to patriarchy, specifically white supremacist European gentry the way the game was setting it up? And how all the women are cast as either victims of the system or tools within it? Did you pick up on the fact that the whole goddamn town is named after a woman who was locked up underground and had her baby stolen from her, reflecting the fact that our society pretends to honor women but actually exploits them and does so explicitly by making them raise babies and become dependent on men while pregnant? Did you notice that the two major systems of political power are a church and a university that are presented as being at odds but who ultimately do the exact same thing, which is exploit women for the benefit of men? Did you notice that women still work to uphold these systems of power even though it directly harms them because they have no choice but to participate? Did you notice the Doll was built as a sex toy and once she gained sentience was immediately shuttered into being a caretaker, because she exists to comment on the roles of women being reduced to sex and maternity? Or did you only notice the very basic pregnancy and menstruation imagery.
