As the world opens its doors, you may be considering taking that vacation you’re dreaming about — or visiting friends and family that COVID has kept out of reach. The problem: Flights can be debilitatingly expensive (says the dealhunter who just spent $1,400 on round trip flights to a San Diego wedding. Ouch.).
That’s why this MarketWatch caught my eye: Flight-deal app Dollar Flight Club is now offering a lifetime membership to its Premium+ app for $49.99 (it’s usually $168 per year) or $39.99 for a lifetime of its Premium membership via StackSocial. Premium membership including access to the best flight deals in Economy (Premium+ users can check out deals in other classes including First Class, Premium Economy) and mistake prices; domestic and international deals from your home airports; up to 50% discounts and perks with Dollar Flight Club’s travel partners; travel tips and instant alerts so you can strike when the iron’s hot.

What reviewers say about Dollar Flight Club: A reviewer at The Points Guy says Dollar Flight Club is “a solid service that sends out plenty of international flight deals that are curated to just the departure airports you want.” One of its biggest draws is its efficiency, according to a reviewer at travel itinerary planning app Wanderlog: “Dollar Flight Club simply takes out the hassle of searching every day for these flight deals yourself and instead does it for you.
How the deal works: By purchasing the promotion on the StackSocial site, you’ll receive a code to redeem with the Dollar Flight Club app or site (available on iOs, Android and web). The code should be redeemed within 30 days of purchase. The license will be available to you on unlimited devices.
Other things to consider: Wanderlog notes that even with the paid premium membership plan, you cannot search for exact flights. “You can add destinations you would like to get deals from but cannot specify dates or guarantee you will get flight deals for these locations … Dollar Flight Club is really for frequent travellers who will take advantage of deals when they see them. It isn’t that useful for people that are planning to visit a certain location during a predetermined time period.”
Marketwatch on Trustpilot give the app an average rating of 3.9 out of 5 stars, with most reviewers lamenting the app’s auto renew functionality — something that should not be an issue with this particular deal.
