Here is a doll house I made for my daughters birthday! Here are some tips, tricks and ideas for creating your own! Please message for specific details.
Pet Room: I wall papered two walls with wall paper from the dollar store. Bought a stick on tile for 50 cents and added that for the flooring. Then I super glued the hook piece I also found at the dollar store to hang the leashes on. For the rabbit cage I used a metal sponge holder for the sink and removed the suction cups and turned it upside down. Great for playing!
Laundry Room: I used chopsticks for the ironing board legs, covered a piece of cardboard with material and used a hot glue gun to keep it all together. For the washer and dryer I spray painted two pop tart boxes, glued an empty fruit cup on the inside, taped another piece of cardboard on for the door, glued on a magnet, glued beads for knobs and done!
Garage: Found scrap book paper at craft store for 19cents and used this for wall and flooring. Created a pump with a small piece of tube from hardware store and super glued on. Red mats were cut from an old hot water bottle.
Living Room: I bought a big bag of little rocks at the dollar store and got glued it to card board folded in the shape I wanted. Then I super glued the two pieces to the wall with a stained paint stir stick used for the mantle. For the couch I took a bunch of cleaning sponges, covered them in old material and hot glued them together in the shape I was looking for.
Kitchen: Upper Shelf- I used an old Apple Watch box and super glued on.
Lower Cabinet- I used the other piece of an Apple Watch box and glued on. The curtain I glued on to chopsticks and glued on. Great for her extra dishes.
Counter too- pieces of wood I found at Walmart and painted.
Sink- inserted a sweet and sour sauce cup from mc Donald’s I cleaned. I found the piece of wood surrounding it already cut at local craft store and painted white
Faucet- wire with a silver bead for base and two beads used for hot and cold.
Microwave and Stove- Made in a similar way to the washer and dryer above. Ask me for details!!!
Fridge- wooden box from dollar store. I painted it silver and used popsicle sticks for door shelves and ring boxes for shelves in fridge.
Bathroom: -IKEA shelf was made from popsicle sticks and chop sticks. -bathtub from an old wipe container and painted white. -sink- pedestal part was made from foil wrap tube which is strong. The sink from another piece of Apple Watch box and the rest completed similar to kitchen. I super glued all of this in. -wall mirror is a locker mirror from dollar store. -vanity light is a push light glued on from dollar store.
Barbie and Kens Room: glued two wood slats to wall for head board and added gems. Bed is made from 4 sponges glued together and covered in material. Carpet - I bought a $3 mat at the dollar store and cut it in squares.
Teen room: glued slats together for bunk beds and added fabric covered sponges. Bought a star led light at the dollar store. Glued gems to one wall and wall papered another.
Multi-purpose Room: glued gem like lace for the wall. Found mini canvases at Walmart and painted with Japanese symbols and a paper clip holder for shelf.
Roof Top: I used green kitchen scrubbers and glued flat for the grass. Found a stick on stone like tile at the dollar store for the other side and added some mini trees and flowers.
Fence: I used a long piece of square wood from craft store and drilled holes to put the rope through. I would recommend reinforcing the fence with long pieces of stronger wood.
Notes: I used a cube shelf for the house itself and lights are all little candle lights or push lights I hung up with nails.
I did this project for my daughter and learned a lot from it! I hope you enjoy creating your own!!! Feel free to message with any questions!!!
