Greek gods I associate with dark academia

Persephone. She’s dedicated to her work. Is just very classy, married hades the god of the underworld and if that’s not ambition then I don’t know what is. She is the motivation you have when you’re just on the brink of giving up. You won’t let yourself give up because if Persephone can be both the goddess of spring and queen of the underworld you can accomplish your dream.

Artemis. A powerful woman who’s the goddess of the moon and a hunter. She dedicated herself to hunting mythical creatures and raising girls who would rather follow their dream then romantic interest. She’s the moon you look out after a long day of studying showing you that its not impossible to follow your dreams

Dionysus. The god of many things. Madness and theatre included. He is in every soul who is stressing out over their homework, you’ll see him in the kids who are pacing their room at 3:00 AM drinking their favorite drink while going over their lines because they’ll be damned if they forget them the night of the play. He’s the god you’ll find when you take a sip of your favorite drink after working so hard on your play or garden. If Dionysus can create wine then you can finish writing your play

Nike. The goddess of victory. She can be found when you find out you passed your test, When you got excepted into your dream school, and even when a figure of authority you look up to complements your work and dedication.

Caerus. The god of opportunity, luck, and favorable moments. You’ll find him when you are given the chance to join your dream school or get your dream job, or even just anything you’ve wanted to do. He’s there when you’re crossing your fingers and biting your lip waiting for your results just to get them back with a perfect response. He’s in the moment in the middle of a good talk with someone you love or when you’re absolutely at peace. He’s easy to find.

Cronos. The god of time. He’s there when you’re lost in a good book, or when you look up and realize You’ve been working/studying for hours even though it only felt like 20 minutes. You can find him in a person who’s waiting for a deadline, waiting their cue to go on stage. He’s also easy to find.

And last but not least, hypnos the god of sleep. You’ll find him after a long day, you’ll find him in contentment after you’ve accomplished a great thing. You can find him on the people who fell asleep on their desks working. Or in the shower at the end of the day when it’s just so hard to stay awake. He’s the feeling when your eyelids won’t stop falling and your eyes burn. He is very important. Make sure to get a good amount of sleep. Because you can’t accomplish your dreams if you’re not sane and healthy.
