If you're having problems capturing captions I suggest a small program called Lightshot. It lets you screenshot, but it also has the cool feature of freezing the screen so you can take accurate pics without needing to pause! It also uses the print screen button for quick snapping(you can change that if you want though). It allows you to crop your screen and capture that area instead of just the full screen and save it right onto your computer! I hope this helps with the caption capturing. =D

I don’t know if this method will work with my mac book pro, but I do have a PC that’s collecting dust, so I’ll give it a try when I have some time.

I’m afraid I won’t be able to capture any new captions since the YouTube Player now crops out a fifth the picture when paused.  But I still have a whole lot of old tiffs in my computer to convert to jpegs or pngs.

Also, Google updates the software once in a while, so results might not show up as they did in older captures, even if it's from the same upload.

How did you get subtitles as profane as those?! I tried out myself, but didn't get as good results.

the captions can differ depending on the quality of the video; you might not be watching the same uploads as me. also, some episodes are goldmines, while others contain barely anything worth posting.
