Hanbin couldn't pinpoint why he suddenly grew worried. Talking about the future made his heart soar from its romanticism, but reality struck gold the more his emotions beamed with happiness. It was a subtle, almost imperceptible shift but enough to send a jolt up his body. Sojin's tone changed—just a fraction, just enough. Hanbin's brow furrowed slightly. He couldn't help but lean in, curiosity killing his cat eyes. And then, like a thunderclap in a clear sky, Sojin said it: "I need to tell you something."
The words echoed in his mind, each syllable a tiny explosion. His heart pounded, a blush creeping up his neck. Was this it? The confession he had been hoping for? Or something entirely worst? His mind raced with ideas, each one tinged with both hope or dread. He could feel the weight of the moment pressing down on him, the future they had been so whimsically discussing suddenly hanging in the balance, teetering with villains.
Then, Hanbin's eyes widened.
He sat up, surprised, like receiving his Yonsei acceptance letter but better. He felt the warmth of Sojin's hand, the way their fingers fit together perfectly, as if they were made to hold. The words hung in the air between them, heavy, but clouds cushioned his fall.
For a moment, Hanbin didn't know what to say. The question was one he hadn't fully allowed himself to consider, not because he hadn't thought about it and didn't want it, but because it seemed almost... Too good to be true. But looking at Sojin now, seeing the sincerity and vulnerability in his expression, Hanbin realized he didn't need to be so afraid. "I've thought about it too," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper but steady. "And the truth is, I want that. I want you. I want us to be more, to have something real and lasting. You mean so much to me, Sojin, just saying you're name feels sweet on my tongue. And I’m ready to take that step with you."
A smile broke out on his face, the corners of his lips lifting into an arc. Hanbin pounced on top of Sojin in an instant, settling comfortably into his lap. Then Hanbin laid down on his now boyfriend, his body molding to Sojin. He began to pepper kisses all along Sojin's face, a hand squeezing his chin affectionately. From his forehead to his cheeks, down to his nose and chin, he was over the moon and couldn't contain how happy he was. Lifting his head quickly and sort of suddenly, "You better not be joking with me, Soji," Hanbin peered with a slight smile.
🐻 —
The rain outside continued its steady rhythm, the soft light of the room casting a gentle glow on their intertwined figures, it was a soothing backdrop to this pivotal moment. Sojin's gaze never wavered, his eyes locked on Hanbin's. These quiet moments of intimacy, where words flowed freely and the armor of bravado he built for the outside world faded away, were what Sojin cherished the most. With Hanbin, he wasn't Bae So-jin; he was hyung, Big, puppy, or whatever soft mutterings Hanbin uttered. The hairs on his arms stood up from Hanbin's touch, and the way he fit so perfectly into the curve of Sojin's arm made everything feel right.
Sojin's mind danced with thoughts of their future together. The ease with which they talked about merging their lives, their styles, and their dreams made his Piscean heart realize just how deeply he was falling for Hanbin. The vision of their shared space, filled with elements of their combined personalities, floated in his mind like a beautiful daydream. He knew he had to tell him, ...or at least what to tell him, to make his intentions clear, to cement what was already blossoming between them into something more defined.
"You know," Sojin began, his tone light but with an undercurrent of seriousness. Sojin's face turned serious, almost doubtful but affection lingered still. "There's something I've been meaning to tell you." He took a deep breath, feeling the cool, soothing pressure of Hanbin's hand as their fingers intertwined more tightly. He could feel the steady beat of his heart, each pulse urging him forward.
"I’ve been thinking," he continued, his voice soft yet firm, "about what it would be like if we made this official. If we were really committed to one another." He paused, searching Hanbin's eyes for any sign of hesitation. Before humiliation set in, Sojin began to speak again. "What do you think? How would you feel about us, not just as we are now, but as something more permanent?"

Hanbin, laughed, "We weren't sneaky one bit in hindsight. Picture me rambling, and her hiding behind me. We were so messy," he said the last few words flimsy, and in English, like he had just learned it (which he did). The little tidbit about his family comes out naturally around Maylin; it's truly like no time has passed it all. He tilts his head a little as Maylin's eyes rake over him, almost posing, laughing. "Right? I didn't want to overdo it," He can't help but to look at Maylin's outfit, too, since she always had a cool edge he's always complimenting her on.
A smile tugged at his lips. "No way! You always know how to pull off that effortlessly cool vibe," he remarked, his eyes twinkling bright. Maylin's style was just one of the many things that made their connection feel timeless. She reminded him a lot of his sister, in a way.
"Don't worry about the theme. You're the one setting it," he said with a wink. "I came here once. They have local bands perform, and the people go from wild to chill. And if we meet anyone interesting, they’ll definitely remember you. It's why I wanted to meet you here, to show off my cool friend, " With the music thumping ahead of him, and glances by people passing through, he feels completely comfortable, too, "Ready to set this place on fire?"
it was about time maylin did something other than working on her final work at college and practicing so much, her social life was declining ever so slightly. though, it's different from the brunette who had the largest set of friends walking around the building of Legacy. but that didn't stop her from going out when she could, hence why she was at the concert hall with hanbin. it felt like years since they truly spent time together. both of their schedules didn't line up enough, months past as things continued to grow in their. own separate lives. trying to play catch up with one another was on her agenda, whenever she. did have the time.
as she fixed the black cardigan that continued to slip down her. slim arms, maylin was focused on her makeup as the male began to speak. glancing in his direction, a small smirk curved at the edge of her lips, "you guys weren't sneaky enough if she caught you. though, any mother can tell even the slightest difference on their kids." maylin spoke from experience with a chuckle, rearranging the studded choker that sat snuggly on her neck. the brunette was satisfied with her appearance, she stepped back and away from the mirror too. fully take in the sight of hanbin.
"sometimes simple is best. there's no need to go all out every time we go to a concert, especially since i enjoy being comfortable." she grinned, observing his eyeliner. "though, i think i didn't get the memo of today's theme… i went a little too hard."

𝒄𝒂𝒏'𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 —
written for 𝐢𝐦 𝐲𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐨 ( @lgcyunseo ) ♡
Hanbin's apprehension about his vocals kept gnawing at him relentlessly in recent days, like an unwelcome voice in his hand shadowing his every move. The weight of his concerns was probably felt as he and Yunseo settled into the cozy confines of the training studio, the hum of anticipation swirling around his head. He went over the lines with him, but his voice wavered with uncertainty like walking a tightrope.
A song's crescendo is his biggest weakness. Hanbin's voice faltered slightly, stumbling over the notes. There was always a glimmer of hope shining in his eyes. His brows arched slightly as he tried his best, a pout to his lips, and he didn't want to hold Yunseo back from practicing, too. In a worst-case scenario, he'd stay up late on his own.
Hanbin turned to Yunseo with a tentative smile, his heart laid bare to a familiar trainee for feedback and advice. "What do you think?" he asked, his words hanging in the air. "I feel like I reached the pitches well enough…" He mentally winced; not even he believed that. "

Sojin's words stirred emotions inside him that danced like fireflies. Hanbin gently squeezed his hand back and sorta' let his fingers caress that small distance between index finger and thumb. And it was like uttering a spell. Sojin guiding him like a star in a sky full of possibilities. For a moment, he was too shy to respond, muttering a soft 'Stop' and poking Sojin on his chest. "Well… I'm all in! I'll help you turn your place into a masterpiece. It'll reflect every bit of the magic we share. Your vision and my touch, we'll be unstoppable." He laughed, "Okay, okay, can we stay like this for another minute? I like just laying here with you. Let's ride the wave a little longer, yeah?"
Another giggle widened Hanbin's lips, "It's like you've read my mind. That sounds like the perfect balance, just like us. You have the final say, of course," He grinned, "Let's make it happen! And I think your liking for astrology is so cute, by the way." 'Us', 'we' it's now their normal, little reminders that said, 'You're mine, and I'm yours.'
He could talk for hours and hours with Sojin's gaze drawn irresistibly, holding Hanbin there, their legs tangled up, so present at the moment his own thoughts escaped him. Sojin's question, velvety to the ear, was the real killer. Sojin already knew the answer. Still, Hanbin couldn't tease him, that a was form a lie, and Sojin's voice commanded attention, tugging at all the right senses. "Of course..." Hanbin whispered, "Your presence added depth, and color, and meaning to my journey. I'm looking forward to every chapter we create... Together."
Hanbin found himself unable to look away, studying Sojin's face like a book. It was a fascination that bordered on obsession, a desire to understand the man behind the enigma. It's why he called him 'Big', ala Sex and the City; a man that's bigger than life.
🐻 —
"Yes, with you," Sojin squeezed Hanbin's hand, chuckling, "I need your killer eye for design and imagination, I want this place is gonna be epic," Sojin added, his sincerity wrapped in a layer of cool confidence to reassure Hanbin. "And us? Man, every moment with you is like a breath of fresh air. You bring a lightness to my life that's just… Incomparable." He paused, a smirk playing on his lips. "So, let's ride the wave of this rain and dive into whatever adventures it brings, yeah?" With a playful grin, he then mumbles under a tight lip, "Right after you help me unpack."
"Hm, as for the space," Sojin said, a hint of swagger in his tone, "I'm picturing something that reflects our Pisces-Libra dynamic... A cozy yet elegant ambiance, coupled with touches of my warmth and your charm – vibes that scream 'we've got style'." He reached out, casually intertwining his fingers with Hanbin's, relishing the simple yet electric connection they shared. He was starting to like how 'we' sounded on his tongue.
Sojin nodded thoughtfully, a faint smile lingering on his lips as he listened to Hanbin's musings about the rain. There was something undeniably chill about sharing these quiet moments with him, not doing much, where they could take a deep dive into their thoughts.
"For sure," Sojin murmured, his voice smooth like silk as he spoke. "A piece of someone's story just waiting to be uncovered, I agree." He adjusted his position, making sure he could lock eyes with Hanbin, his gaze carrying a hint now playful charm. "Am I part of your story?"

Hanbin is racing against the clock to make it to class on time when a familiar voice pleasantly interrupted his hurried thoughts, he turned to find a young girl beside him, a smile of recognition spreading across his face. "Hey! What a surprise to see you another Legacy out and about!" he exclaimes with a small bow, relieved to encounter a friendly face amidst his rush. That's how tended to be, never one to pass up on a conversation. To hell with physics.
Acknowledging her with a nod, he adds, "I've definitely seen you around. And, you're an actress, no? Meeting you feels very unreal." He can't but to gush.
The pedestrian light shifts, and he falls into slow steps, trying to match her pace. With genuine curiosity, he glances over at Gyuri. "My name is Min Hanbin. What brings you out here so early?" He questions, genuinely interested in learning more about her. Maybe the next time they run into each other they won't be strangers!
₊ ˚ ⊹ 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 , ft. @lgchanie.
gyuri is no stranger when it comes to leisurely strolls as a means of traveling to the company building. it'd previously been her main means of getting there, the walk an easy breeze with the occasional help from buses, depending on the weather. she often enjoyed the quiet those walks brought, an appreciated calm before her training days truly began— changing career paths now meant having a dedicated manager, someone who was now able to get her places faster.
today, with an early start, she'd opted to tough it out.
paying little mind the closer she gets to her destination, eyes downcast to her phone as she goes over details for upcoming variety filming, gyuri doesn't realize the other person walking in the same direction as her. it's only once she comes to a stop at a crosswalk, cars zooming in front of her, that she spares a glance to her side. "oh!" she doesn't mean to be loud, not when seeing a somewhat familiar face isn't all that uncommon while walking the streets, but it's a pleasant surprise. "you're . . . a trainee, right? i think i've seen you before."

Hanbin wanted to hide under the table! He was blushing like a fanboy, but Tee's words really did mean a lot to him. Visibly making an effort to contain himself, he grasped both hands together as he spoke. "Thank you so much for your encouragement! It means a lot coming from someone as talented as you. Your dedication is truly inspiring. I'll keep practicing hard and chasing my dream all the way."
He nodded, eyes bright, like he was at a book talk by his favorite author. "Trust me, Tee-hyung, your talent speaks volumes. From where I stand, you're incredibly skilled." The praises kept falling from his lips before he could stop himself, "The fact that you have those thoughts like us trainees only adds to your charm." He took a sip of his drink, "Let's both keep pushing to be the best versions of ourselves, doubts and all. We've got this!"
Tee is used to being the youngest so hearing someone call him hyung still threw him a little. ❛ That sounds really good! I believe you'll be the best performer, Hanbin-ssi! Having big dreams is important and following them is just as important. ❜ He smiled brightly. Tee remembered his dreams and following them had been his drive for many years now.
❛ We all have doubts and insecurities. Myself included. I still have them even now. I'm always wondering if I'm good enough. ❜ Tee admitted with a soft smile. He understood where Hanbin's feelings were coming from. Hearing how Hanbin saw himself in Tee was a little surprising. ❛ You do? But I'm not that good. ❜

The way he sounds like he's serenading you is serious
he has this soft, husky tone i love omg i need a full cover!
way too timid and doesn't sound confident, you can tell he's not a trained vocalist. i hope he's secretly an amazing dancer or...
he's not serious? he's a visual, but that's it
the kid knows how to attract attention. he can improve his vocals, but his boyish charm is one of a kind

"Only around you," Hanbin replied, his gaze softening meeting Sojin's eyes. His mind was always so busy, but he could always count on those eyes to silence all the extra noise. That was why he found it so easy to express himself around Sojin.
Hanbin's breath hitched slightly feeling Sojin's fingertips graze his ear to a pull a strand back to his fluffy hair. It sent a shiver cascading down his spine that he could never get tired of. But he leaned in closer, his breath mingling with Sojin's in a quiet moment.
"What type of mood do you imagine for the space?" Hanbin continued, "With my help?" He had to question, "I mean, I'd love to, I like the idea of 'having all the time in the world' with you... I already have some ideas!" He teased, poking him back on his chest, but Hanbin really did have many ideas. Home decorating is kind of his secret obsession, and paired with Sojin's own taste, ""There's no doubt in my mind that this place will turn out amazing."
"I do. The rain has always held a special kind of magic, hasn't it? It's made us slow down and I like to think that's a good thing." Sojin has been plenty busy these days, but he's always making time for Hanbin. Hanbin was a little surprised, though. Sojin was a man of few words; his musings were so light and sincere in comparison. 'Must be the weather,' he thought. "Maybe each drop holds a story, past, present, or future, like a whisper or a secret."
🐻 —
Sojin wearing his favorite oversized Nike sweater and shorts, relaxed on top of his bed with Hanbin, scrolling through his phone to check his upcoming schedule and calendar. Although he moved into a new, bigger condo and could use the downtime - he liked to mentally prepare himself for as much as he could. Hanbin's voice made Sojin snap out of it and almost immediately, he leaned into Hanbin's embrace. His gaze was soft and attentive as he absorbed Hanbin's words.
A crooked smile across Sojin's lips, his eyes crinkling with fondness. Hanbin was too pure for this world. "You have a way of understanding the little things, don't you, Hanbin?" he said, voice like a gentle murmur against raindrops he heard.
As Hanbin drew closer, Sojin mirrored his movement, pulling him closer by the waist. Sojin liked to keep Hanbin at arms length in public, but privately, he was very possessive. He reveled in the warmth of their proximity, he almost didn't know what do with himself whenever Hanbin wasn't staying over his place.
Wearing a smirk, Sojin reached out to brush a stray strand of hair behind Hanbin's ear, his touch tender and reassuring. "You're right, we haven't," he agreed, "But maybe that's what makes it so special, don't you think? We have all the time in the world to make this place extraordinary, especially with your help." Sojin nudged Hanbin playfully.
With a curious glint in his eyes, Sojin turned to Hanbin, genuine interest sparking within him. "Do you ever wonder if the rain carries stories within its droplets?" he mused softly, dipping into Hanbin's brand of wonder and curiosity. "Or perhaps it's nature's gentle reminder for us to slow down, and cherish our surroundings..."

"I used to apply just a hint of makeup on my little sister when she asked, hoping to keep it discreet from our mom's eyes. Inevitably, she always caught wind of our little scheme," he chuckled, the memory warm and familiar. "That's how I learned a few tricks."
They were standing by a mirror in the hallway to a concert. It was definitely a departure from Hanbin's usual routine, but a thrilling shift all the same. Despite knowing it was a bit out of his persona, Hanbin felt the pull to break free from his safety bubble and embrace life's adventures more fully. And who better to embark on this escapade with than Maylin? The excitement bubbles up in laughs when they're finally together, plus after such a long time apart.
He wore a plain white, tight-fitting tank top and jeans, and adidas assemble. He got there a little late, so he's doing last-minute eyeliner touch. He blinks a little, looking himself over, then at Maylin, "What do you think? Is this too simple?" He heard the venue was like the set of 'Rush' by Troye Sivan and drew inspiration from there.

𝒑𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒌 —
written for 𝐛𝐚𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐣𝐢𝐧 ( @lgcsoji ) ♡
On a rainy day in Seoul, the city's energy subdued beneath a blanket of gray clouds, droplets cascade down like teardrops from a luxurious apartment's panoramic windows, tracing intricate patterns against the glass. His eyes keep jumping between raindrops, watching them slide down casting a wet haze over the spacious room and bed he was lying in. Amidst the pitter-patter of rain, the city's skyline blurred, so he rolled over to his side, "You know... There's a word for the smell of after rain?"
Inside the apartment, the atmosphere is one of cozy embrace, with the occasional flicker of a candle illuminating the room in a warm, amber glow. Hanbin softly grasped Sojin's hand to briefly lift theirs together in the air, comparing sizes. "Petrichor. It's old Greek, and I like to believe rain for them back then was the gods crying."
The sound of rain tapping against the windowpane created a soothing melody, and he could almost smell that earthy scent he was talking about. "I think that's one my favorite parts about rainy days, stepping outside once the sky clears, and you feel a freshness on your skin, your lips..." Searching Sojin's eyes, he tried to find the right word for how he felt about him. He crinkled his nose playfully and scooted over closer to Sojin like he was a big teddy bear. "We didn't do much unpacking today, did we, Big?"

Hanbin laughed softly, tilting his face into Sojin's touch. "Well, I learned from the best. And I'm being serious, your folks were a delight. Besides, all parents love me."
Hanbin's eyes lit up as he listened to Sojin's smooth words. Feeling his grip tighten ever so slightly let him know Sojin could relate. The continuous touch of Sojin's fingertips against his cheeks soothed him to his core. Physical touch was surely Hanbin's love language. "You're not just my moon, Sojin," Hanbin murmured tenderly, his voice barely above a whisper. "You're my entire night sky, my whole world."
With a soft chuckle, Hanbin playfully bantered with Sojin, his heart filling up as their intertwined fingers anchored him.
Sojin's husky confession was all it took to give his heart entirely. The sound of his own nickname falling from his beau's lips only intensified everything around them. Their breaths danced together in the charged air, and Hanbin couldn't help but smile into the kiss, feeling utterly consumed.
Hanbin loved surprises and surprising others; they held a special place in his heart, a small way to show someone care. So he grinned at Sojin's question about their next rendezvous, feeling a quick charge of excitement at the thought of whatever he had planned. "Surprise me," he replied playfully in English, his eyes sparkling. "I trust you to whisk me away to somewhere amazing, just like you always do."
🐻 —
Sojin's chest warmed up as Hanbin leaned into his touch, his words weaving a captivating spell around him. With a confident smirk playing at the corner of his lips, he met Hanbin's gaze with a suave stare.
"Smooth talker, aren't you?" Sojin quipped, his fingertips continued to trail lightly along the curve of Hanbin's cheek. "But save the thanks. My folks took a liking to you. I can't blame them. You've got that charm."
Sojin's grip subtly tightened as Hanbin spoke of their connection, interlocking their fingers in silently. A flicker of admiration danced in his eyes, stirred by Hanbin's words. "You hit the mark, Hanbin," he admitted, his voice taking on a husky tone that Hanbin said he liked so much. "With you, it's like finding the missing piece. Everything just clicks, falls into place like a perfect puzzle."
He couldn't suppress a low chuckle at Hanbin's analogy of their love. "Flying high, huh?" Sojin teased, his brows raised, "I'll be your wings anytime, Hannie. Every moment with you does feel like leaving the world far below."
Sojin leaned in, his lips hovering tantalizingly close to Hanbin's, the anticipation palpable in the charged atmosphere between them. With a blend of tenderness and confidence, he pressed his lips against Hanbin's one more time, savoring the sweet intimacy. "I'm thankful for the thrill you bring into my life, Hanbin," he murmured against Hanbin's lips, his breath mingling with Hanbin's in a shared moment of closeness. "Can't wait to dive into the next escapade with you. So, where's our next rendezvous, huh? Any place in mind, or are you leaving it to me to surprise you?"

His cheeks flushed a rosy hue, but he didn't hide it. Sojin's touch was feather-light, fingertips that grazed across his cheek sent shivers dancing down his spine. "That makes me happy! I'm really grateful for your parents' kindness and acceptance." It meant the world to him that Sojin's parents had welcomed him with such warmth. "Meeting your parents was an honor, really, means more to me than words can express."
He could simply melt at Sojin's touch and words, his warmth spreading through Hanbin like sunlight breaking through clouds. He leaned into the hands on his waist, into the kiss balanced on the balls of his feet, and all else was lost. They kissed a lot but every kiss or a peck on the cheek felt like the first time, reminded him of the snowy day where their lips first clashed...
"It's not just one thing," Hanbin began, keeping close, "It's everything about you. Your kindness, your passion, your way of seeing the world so different from everyone. Being with you feels like stepping into a world where anything is possible, where I'm capable of anything as long as you're by my side."
He paused, his fingers intertwining with Sojin's as he searched his eyes, finding that unspoken connection there that made him breathless. "You make me feel seen, understood, and loved in a way I never thought possible. If I had to choose a specific superpower, it's like... I can fly!~" A shy smile tugging at the corners of his lips, Hanbin said the last words cutely. His voice laced with a sweetness that was impossible to resist. "Tonight has only reinforced what I already knew in my heart—that with you, every moment is an adventure, and every day is filled with potential."
🐻 —
Sojin was slow as he let Hanbin drag him away from the lively gathering to the serene embrace of the night. His steps were light, his demeanor composed, yet his bear-sized heart was high off being with Hanbin. His date was a complete natural around his family and friends.
They stood together there, gazing out at the city's glittering vista, marveling at the backdrop before them. The soft glow of the city lights seemed to mirror the warmth he felt around Hanbin, and that's who really he was looking at. His eyes caught every little detail of his face and reaction.
Hanbin's playful words, teasing him, drew a soft chuckle from Sojin's lips. His gaze met Hanbin's with a quiet intensity.
"The best view you'll ever find. Of course, for me, it's the second best." Sojin teased back, his tone carrying that suave tone to compliment Hanbin.
With a tender touch, Sojin reached out to gently brush a stray lock of hair from Hanbin's forehead, his fingers lingering against his cheek. "Tonight has been truly amazing," he continued, his tone met with assurance. "My parents saw in you what I've come to cherish—a kindred spirit, someone who appreciates the beauty in life's subtle details. Trust me, they adored you." Pulling him by the waist closer, Sojin craned his face lower to Hanbin's smaller frame, and didn't hesitate to press a lingering kiss to his lips. As they parted, a question lingered on Sojin's lips.
"What is it about me that makes you feel like you have superpowers?"

Hanbin smiled, his eyes soft but uncertain as he considered Tee's questions. He shifted in his seat, taking a moment to collect his thoughts before responding. "Well, Tee-hyung," Hanbin began brightly, "I have big dreams and goals that I'm working towards. I want to become the best performer I can be, to inspire others with my music, and to make my family proud."
"But," Hanbin continued, his expression softening, "I also struggle with lots of doubts and insecurities, wondering if I'm good enough or if I'll ever truly make it..." He glanced down at his hands, that flicker of uncertainty crossing his features again before he looked back up at Tee, seeking maybe some understanding. "And I look up to you and see myself in you, so... I don't know."
To be honest, Tee is awkward with most people. Even though he became an idol over a year ago, he's still not used to the limelight and the different life that came with being an idol. He still tried to live as normal as he could and meet people as regularly as he could. That's how he found himself here today with Hanbin at this cafe. Now he was an idol, Tee was there to support and encourage the trainees. Tee eyed his coffee in front of him as he listened to Hanbin speak.
There was something about Hanbin that reminded him of how he was when he was a trainee. ❛ Push yourself like me? What do you mean? ❜ Tee asked curiously. Why was Hanbin wanting to be like him? He had no idea. ❛ I guess I have things planned or things I want. What were some of yours, Hanbin-ssi? ❜

Somehow, the mansion seemed to fade into the background, as if they were cocooned in their own little world. No reply needed, wanting Sojin's words to linger in his thoughts throughout the night instead. Making their way towards Sojin's parents, Hanbin waded through bouts of nervousness while secured being by Sojin's side.
He wanted to be with Sojin and only him. The choice was always clear, always right in front of him. If only he knew Hanbin had been looking for him for a while now... He even jotted down a list of an ideal type back in his high school daze, dubbing it ‘P.C’ short for ‘Prince Charming’ — Sojin checked all the boxes for Hanbin and other criteria he hadn’t even thought of. For a while, they fell into a slow dance — soft glances, soft touches, and soft words like passing planes in the night. Now they seemed to fly an open sky, together, and God, did he love how that sounded.
A tender smile danced on his lips as he nodded in quiet agreement. His attention shifted gracefully towards Sojin's parents.
The closer they get, the more their presence commands the room, tall and imposing, exuding an aura of timeless influence. He instantly recognized the familial resemblance. They greeted Hanbin absolutely so warmly, too. "Hello, my name is Min Hanbin," he introduced himself, adopting his usual airy charm. He was thinking, all he wanted was to solicit a hearty laugh from them, a whisper later from mother to son, 'I like this one', and maybe the night would stop feeling like a dream.
FLASHFORWARD — a few hours later…
After talking to Sojin's parents, the guests, a wise butler, Hanbin softly grabbed his date by the hand once they're outside and pulled him into the night. "C'mon, you said I'll find the best views of the city from here." The party settled down, and Sojin figured they could leave but not before Hanbin can take a few photos.
Ever the sentimental soul, he wanted for a memento, a keepsake.
He found himself drawn to a secluded spot, perched atop a vantage point that offered a panoramic view of the city below. The twinkling lights danced like fireflies in the darkness, reflecting off Hanbin's eyes, and the flashes coming from his phone.
His love life so far barely fit a small novel and instead read like a haiku.
untold loves held close stealing glances but never their hearts. then time stops with him.
"Tell me," he said, his voice low and filled with longing, taking one last candid shot, each step bringing him closer, closing the distance between them. "Honestly, I have superpowers around you." His cute words sound serious despite how silly he may sound. And he didn't bother with playing it cool. He reached out with a gentle hand, his touch tender as it made contact with the contours of Sojin's abs, now mere inches away. His gaze remained fixed, "But, how did I do tonight? Do you think I have the seal of approval from your parents?" Hanbin did feel a tug of connection with Sojin's once they started to discuss literature and the arts.

Sojin watched curiously Hanbin's bashful demeanor with a faint smile playing on his lips, finding it amusing and endearing in the hold Sojin had on him. Hanbin's gaze often made Sojin wonder what thoughts were swirling in his mind, if he means to say more, but he cherished the moments nonetheless.
"Why think of the future when I'm here in the present, right?" Sojin replied, his voice smooth and reassuring, mirroring Hanbin's sentiment. He appreciated Hanbin's readiness to take on, and it only strengthened his feelings about their connection.
"They're over there," Sojin gestured subtly towards where his parents were engaged in conversation, his eyes briefly following Hanbin's before returning to meet his gaze once more. The magnetic pull between them was undeniable, and Sojin found himself drawn to Hanbin's every word and gesture.
His heart fluttered at the sincerity in Hanbin's voice to his question, feeling a rush of affection for the person standing before him. "The anticipation," Sojin nodded and echoed softly, his own voice carrying it's own brand of shyness. Hanbin's words had a way of stirring something deep within him, igniting a spark of anticipation for what the night held in store - he had him stuck.
"You have a way with words, Hanbin," Sojin said, his voice barely above a whisper, yet filled with sincerity. "You make every moment feel like magic. And tonight… Well, I guess tonight feels magical."
Sojin smirked as his hand lightly clasped Hanbin's in response to his, a silent reassurance of their connection around the opulent surroundings of his parents' mansion. The grand estate was adorned with intricate chandeliers casting a warm glow, while the walls hung priceless works of art, a testament to the Bae family's refined taste and sophistication.
"Let's make our entrance," Sojin said, his tone filled with confidence as he followed Hanbin's lead. The lively chatter of distinguished guests mingled with the soft strains of classical music, creating an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication. Sojin skillfully directed Hanbin towards his awaiting parents, their faces alight with anticipation at the sight of their son, trailing to his company.
