Did anyone spot the 1.6.5 update? No, me neither and since then there has been another one, today we got 1.6.6 update. Mostly language and bug fixes. I updated my game completely forgetting I need SMAPI to run my modded version of the game and there wasn’t an update for that yet. Thankfully, I discovered that GOG allows you to choose the version, so I took the game back to one that SMAPI still works with 😮‍💨 Close call 😅

This little forest area comes with a modded farm map layout. It also comes with a foraging area and ores. It’s like the best parts of every default map combined together. This map replaces the standard map.

These mods are for the current version of SDV 1.6.4 as of writing.

Before you use any mod you will need SMAPI installed for all mods to work. There are a handful of others (such as texture replacement) that you might also need for some mods to work but SMAPI is where you begin before any other mods can be used.

The cheats… CJB Cheats Menu CJB Item Spawner For those curious why I would use cheats at all quite simply because I am disabled and there are some aspects of the game I don’t have the dexterity for like fishing. I use the cheats sparingly and for specific needs such as auto fishing. For me it makes the game more accessible and more enjoyable.

NB: Make sure to track the mods you use for updates. Also don't forget to endorse the ones you use and like, this really helps the mod creators.

Down by the cave on the meadowlands farm (mine is called Meadowsweet after one of my favourite flowers that grows on wet verges near meadows by streams. It’s every bit as magical as it sounds)

Some more edits including the basement and attic this time with some tweaks to the other rooms. Krobus has since moved in so I did a little decorating in his nook. Oh and I got a second cat. We now live with Void and Kiki 😸

The mushroom cave gets more shrooms thanks to the moss ingredient and I had my first green rain event on the 6th day of spring in a new playthrough! I wonder if the random seed I use helped?! The greenhouse looks like my usual standard. I’m using a flower seed mod for the freesias.

I will eventually do a list of the mods I’m using over on nexus.

My current home edit in the 1.6 update for Stardew Valley (desktop version, on an Apple Mac 🖥️ on GOG.com)

I’ve been so out of the gaming loop since late January I didn’t even know there was an update waiting for me until a few days ago! Stardew Valley has now officially taken over my life.

Since taking these screenshots I’ve now added an attic, the final room to decorate. Really loving all the new features, items and festivals. Just entered Autumn and enjoying the cosy vibes all over again.

Kinda spoilt me for the switch now since I’m using a Nintendo controller to play with anyway and enjoying all the mods out there. Been a lot of fun!
