A little late, but this is part of a piece I illustrated for @pjoyearbookzine :) it was super fun and I had a blast working on this project with them!

Thalia doesn’t keep many things in the hundreds of years she’s been alive. 

But long ago, there were people, their names all but distant memories, who mattered in her 1st lifetime. It’s their things that stay hidden in her bag, reminding her of her mortal life. 

A blue hoodie, worn almost threadbare. The scent of its original owner, long since leached from the fabric. But if she closes her eyes, she can almost see the blue eyes of her first and only love. 

A pair of glasses. Frames cracked and crooked. A reminder of a brother she never got to truly know. 

A baseball cap. It’s magic long faded, branded with a forgotten logo. Memories of a blonde girl laughing hidden deep within. 

A letter. Ink fading, paper yellow. The last words of a dying friend. Words that wish her well, words that wished her well in a world they had fought side by side to save. 

Thalia doesn’t keep a lot of things, but even after all this time, Luke, Jason, Annabeth, and Percy will stay with her forever. The memories of her first family to remind her why life is so beautiful.

AU where Mr. D claiming to be Percy’s dad accidentally counts as Claiming according to Greek god law or whatever and now all the other gods legitimacy believe Percy is his son, but if Mr. D corrects it, he has to explain to Zeus why he pretended he was Percy’s dad so now he’s like “YEP ol’ Perry Johansson is MY child wowie just look at the little fry, you have your mother’s eyes. Please stop standing next to water or you will blow my cover”

Meanwhile Poseidon is just standing off to the side like “how on earth did I dodge THAT bullet”

Annabeth and Percy both being ready to square up with Ares and Grover just manipulating the hell out of him this is cinema

frank: let me get this straight. thalia and jason’s domain is the sky, percy’s domain is water, and hazel and nico’s domain is basically the underground?

annabeth: yes

frank: but… can’t percy also create storms? that have clouds and lightning and thunder?

annabeth: yes

frank: and… and can’t percy also create earthquakes and make volcanoes erupt?

annabeth: yes

frank: so… in a way, doesn’t that mean everywhere is percy’s domain?

annabeth: yes.

annabeth: but don’t tell him. he hasn’t had that realization yet

Sally Jackson Mamma Mia summer she hooks up with three seemingly normal guys and gets pregnant and has a baby and then smashcut 12 years later, there’s a world-ending prophecy and all three guys show up at her doorstep arguing over what do you mean you both broke the agreement too? funniest move poseidon could possibly make in the next few episodes is becoming an annabeth stan. he saw what went down at the arch, he hears her say she'd side with percy over her mom in a fight any day and he's like 'alright bitch you've lost custody she can't go on your suicide statue quest anymore I have TWO forbidden children now #lovewins #fuckyouzeusIknowaboutjason'

holds your face very gently. listen. listen to me: Grover and Percy are soulmates. Their lives are very literally tied together and they cannot exist without the other. Canonically, if one of them dies, they both die. They literally share a telepathic link that they can use to communicate from literally anywhere and they can feel each other's feelings. They are best friends and their lives are physically bound to one another. This is so important to me.

i think that scene in botl when annabeth sits at the poseidon table and percy is quaking in his boots is an accurate representation of how they value following the rules. if you think about it, the only time percy purposefully breaks a rule is when he absolutely has to. like, when he illegally joined a quest to save his best friend who was held hostage...twice. otherwise, percy tries his best to behave. annabeth, on the other hand, will commit arson for fun. and we love them both equally.
