𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, that their life had always seemed pretty straight forward, minus the toxic dad and the overwhelming sense of loneliness that they often tried to ignore. yet everything had seemed so complicated as of late and they felt like they had brought all that complications back into moon's life when she had been doing her best to stay out of all the karate complications. after everything that had happened at the dojo tonight, they didn't really know where else to go, their home was a crime scene and they didn't exactly know who to trust. there was no one else they wanted to be around right now and moon was always so positive, they just hoped that she would somehow manage to make them feel better . . . even if she wouldn't be surprised about the video of silver that was definitely making circles around the internet.
𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗿, like how they had known that helping miyagi - do / eaglefang had been the right thing to do and yet they still felt like absolute shit for turning against the man who had done so much for them. their body ached as much as their head and heart did, completely torn up by what had happened and completely unsure of how exactly to handle what had just happened. they just didn't know how to really explain how they were feeling or even if it made any sense to moon who they were very surprised wasn't looking at them like they were totally insane, " i know it doesn't make any sense. i can't make any sense of it, but . . . i just feel torn, " mercy stumbles, not even really able to look at her from where they were sat on the ground, arms wrapped around their knees as they leaned against her bed. they barely had noticed her move towards them before she was cupping their face and pressing a gentle kiss to their forehead, which just seemed to quieten everything down for a moment and they sighed softly, feeling her linger there and they just reached out to hold onto her, " thank you moon, "

𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, mercy just needed moments like this with moon to get away from everything and just pretend like the chaos surrounding cobra kai had little to do with them. it didn't in a way. but because of their connection to silver, it got more complicated. from the reaching out of their estranged father warning them about silver to all the whispers and secrets that made them feel so uncomfortable at times, it felt good to finally get away and just be with moon. moon was like their shining light in all the darkness, a beckon of hope that just made them feel safe. the kisses made them smile, following her to the cash register still smiling because it had felt like forever since they had been able to find time to go rollerskating and even better to go with moon, " don't worry, baby, i'll catch ya if you fall, " mercy promised, wrapping their arms around her and resting their chin on her shoulder. they had found skating as way to relax, to try and use their body in a different way, using their agility and flexibility in a different way that made them smile because it was just for fun, not for competition or beating someone else, " c'mon, let's get over there, get you in a pair of skates and have some fun, "
