Love your take on the hazbin story!!!!! Really good and deeper philosophically than the original!

I would love to get more introspective towards the characters.

I just think it's nice to explore different kinds of people who willingly or unwillingly committed sins, which showcases how bad the heaven and hell system is being implemented. Like it says that 'you shall not kill' , 'you shall not steal' but what if the individual had to do those in defense or for the means of survival? Do they deserve to be punished for committing those?

I think it helps sell the idea when the characters are well written. Their reasoning and the way they reacted to committing those sins should be clear to the audience so that they can think for themselves if those characters truly deserve redemption. Because humans are very complicated, they do things out of love, spite, greed, etc. It would be nice to see the characters trying to justify those kinds actions, because it makes them more humans. They have flaws and ideologies that we might all relate to so in return we would probably might want to see them be forgiven or at least be given a second chance and it could also make us think about our choices down the line. I don't know I just think that audiences should always have something to takeaway from a certain media, especially when it caters to adults.

That's why I don't sit well with the new Addict music video. Because I think the purpose is to show how sympathetic Angel is, and that he probably deserves to be redeemed because someone is being worse than him apparently. It would've been nice to show how sympathetic he is if only they just showed who is when he was alive and what brought him to make this choices that he ends up in hell. Because for all we know Angel probably did something so bad and vicious when he was alive that the treatment that Valentino is giving him are his just punishments. There's really no takeaway from it in my opinion

A small short comic just explaining about how Charlie will go about redeeming sinners.

Inspirations taken from Dante’s Purgatorio. There would also be a conflict about this method of redemption because Charlie actually stole this door and had it be installed in the hotel.  Angels will soon come down and start looking for that door.

oh yes I would love to redesign the rest of the cast! But as of right now Im working out the functionality of the story. Like explaining how a hotel is going to ‘save’ sinners and how it’s going to do it. I will be posting some ideas about it soon

The revamp looks great ! I like your colors for Alastor too, it way more pleasant than tha canon neon red and black. And a very cool design reason too, to make him blending into the background but still a little off like you said . Think second ask was misinterpreted though, I wasn’t criticizing the rewrite Alastor being mysterious, uptight and older . I was pointing out how the fluffed out wavy hairstyle he has makes him look way younger than that ^^

Thank you for pointing that. Im always open to suggestions! I always felt like my Alistor design isn’t much different from the original. So now I gave him a muzzle-like head similar to an actual deer. Also that I don’t have to copy how I draw Charlie. I also desaturated his outfit to give him more mysterious energy around him. I believe that he would seem much more unpredictable if he blends in the background and at the same time stand out because he gives off a vibe that something is off about him.

Well I wanted to make him look older than Charlie. To symbolize how much he already experienced while Charlie haven’t experience any hardships at all. I think mysteriousness is what Alastor suppose to embody. He’s powerful and no one know what else he’s capable of. Even Viv still isn’t sure what he can do. Also his motivation for my version is to have Charlie give up on her plan. He believes that Sinners got what they deserve and giving them the chance to be redeemed is unfair, so that’s why he probably appears to be uptight.

I’m pretty sure vaggie and Charlie weren’t even originally a couple, vivzie just threw it in after a misunderstanding with the animators

I like to believe it’s developed overtime. Things get changed during the planning stage after all. I agree with you saying that they weren’t meant to be a couple originally because there is a speedpaint in vivzie channel about Vaggie and Charlie together and just entitling it as ‘Gal Pals’. But nevertheless they became a comfort ship of mine. I just wish Vaggie has more involvement since she’s the closest person to Charlie and isn’t just there merely as the love interest

I didn’t mean to say that they should have a different segment dedicated to just Vaggie and Charlie, I mean there is already a scene where it’s just the two of them and it’s the scene where Charlie is preparing to be on the news. I just thought that scene is a waste of opportunity to showcase how cute their relationship is. I think the scene made them out to be best friends instead. In my opinion the scene could’ve went like this instead…

I don’t know I just think their relationship should’ve been explicitly shown rather than just being told to us, especially in the pilot where it showcases key character’s relation to Charlie and their importance to the overall concept of the pilot.

Vaggie is one of the few designs that Im okay with honestly. I just tweaked a few and gave her a darker palette because honestly I really love her old palette instead. I made it pastel though to match what vivziepop is going for because honestly the white palette is kind of obnoxious and makes her look cute and ridiculous if she ever try to look intimidating. her original design reminds me of a lolita to be honest.

yes they are! I love Charlie and Vaggie together. I can’t wait to draw more of their relationship. I really thought their relationship will have more importance in the pilot since Charlie needed the reassurance and support and it’s an opportunity to show how good Vaggie is to her and how it motivates Charlie to pursue her goals that’s why it annoys me that Vaggie got pushed to the side and Charlie with Alastor got the most attention instead :(

I like the idea of Alastor being a foil towards Charlie.

He challenges her belief, making her question her decisions and just having her doubt her hopes for her people.

Small redesign of Lucifer.

I didn’t changed much of his color palette. In fact it’s quite fitting because my Charlie’s design mostly have dark palettes so it’s a good contrast between them.

I don’t know if I'm allowed to express opinions, but one thing I don’t like about Lucifer’s original design is that he looked really young. Without any context I thought he’s Charlie’s sibling. Compared to his wife, whose design I truly adore, he looks like a teenager or someone that is as young as Charlie. So I gave him a small beard and bulked up his chest slightly to give him a more mature look. His wife is still taller than him though. I think that’s a really cute touch, so I kept it.
