gunner wasnt after her because she was a model. sure, she was gorgeous there was no denying that fact. but there was more to her that caught his eye and a lot had to do with personality. it only showed more during their date. gunner would have spent hours talking to her, getting to know exactly what she likes. he smiled at her, rocking back on his heels for a moment. dakota was really just busy. being a new doctor he was thrown on every case that other's didn't want. which usually meant longer hours, and more time away from mercury. at least she was understanding that he wasn't using the fact of being busy as a excuse. "i'll be clocking out around 5am, you okay with me sneaking in at that time?" he asked, smile and more happy to agree.

Mercury didn't mind this - it wasn't like Dakota was trying to keep her a secret and not be seen with her so this was alright. Humming against his lips contently, she broke free to rub her nose against his. "You want to come over after your next shift? He was completely lost in the moment with Elie, walking through the little fair where he'd already made note to go back and pick something up for Sienna before they left. Making a sound of surprise at the kiss, he kissed her back before pulling away, plucking one of the flowers and holding it out for her. "Got caught up in the flowers huh?
