Spider appreciation! The Terrans and kids introduce Tarantulas to ice skating!

This poor spider man is so confused when the kids mention they want to take the terrans and Tarantulus ice skating.

Neither have ever been, but the terrans are all up for it cause they can sense the fun from the connection with the cyber sleeves

Tarantulas, on the other hand, was a bit skeptical, knowing he was blindly walking into this activity, but he could not say no to 7 (?) Children/Terran doing puppy faces, so he sighed and agreed

They find a lake frozen over in the woods by their house and declare it good enough incase they need to run

The Malto children, Robbie and Mo, put on their skates and demonstrate to Tarantulas and the Terrans how to skate

The terrans, mostly Twitch, are excited to skate

Twitch, Thrash, and Jawbreaker are the ones who full on run onto the ice and immediately wipe out while Nightshade and Hashtag kinda stand there like 🫢

Eventually when everyone's on the ice, Dot and Alex demonstrate how to push off of their feet and move along the ice

The Terrans seem to get it right away, Hashtag, Jawbreaker and Nightshade skate gracefully while Twitch and Thrash have a full on race with Robbie and Mo

Poor Tarantulas has a hard time keeping balance so everyone takes a hold of one of his appendages/extra limbs

The taller Terrans grab the more upper limbs while Mo and Robbie grab the lower ones

They all skate together like that for a while, and if Tarantulas could smile he would've had a big one on his face

Hours pass of skating, races, Snowball fights and many more fun activities but eventually the sun goes down and they must make their way home

It took 20 minutes for everyone to get off of the ice due to how much they loved it

When they got home, they all went into the barn and the humans had a sleepover with them, making hot chocolate and it was like a slumber party

Old man Taantulas felt relaxed for the first time in however long and felt he finally had a place to call home :)

Could you do gnc vet!Human reader showing Shockwave the various kinds of animals in their care (pictures from their phone)? He's intrigued at the diversity in characteristics and why they behave the way they do (like birds being able to talk, dogs being energetic, cats being stoic)

You've just came back from your work and walked into his lab, giggling and smiling at your phone

He turns his head towards you and tilts it

"What are you smiling about?"

You look up at him and show him a video of a cute little parakeet that bounced up and down

This made him curious

"It was a patient of mine today! He's finished treatment and look how happy he is!"

Shockwave curiosity grows as he gently scoops you up, sits down at a desk, and gently places you onto the table

"Do birds always jump up and down like that? I've never seen those...crows...do it." He asked

"Mostly pet birds do it for attention or cause they're enjoying something"

You kept scrolling through your phone, showing him the different animals

This included dogs, cats, fish, another bird, and a snake

As you went through photos, Shockwave asked questions about every animal, and his interest only grew

"What animal is this?" "What is different about this breed?" "Why are Huskys so vocal?", etc

He's eager to learn more about animals and expects you to tell him more new information a day

He'll secretly research random animal facts to impress you and when you ask where he heard that he just says he's known it forever

"Let's get a dog"

"Wait really?!"

Will gladly answer any questions you have about himself or about the history of Cybertron

He's protective of you weither you're bot or human.

he'll take you for flights in his cockpit when you've had a bad day and let's you vent whatever you need to.

He tries his best to be a role model for you but thinks because he was a decepticon he isn't good at it

You two have deep talks about the past and listen to eachother

Seems like he doesn't care for platonic cuddles but actually loves them

Likes to praise you for things you've done

Gives headpats

If you ever do anything that could involve you getting hurt, get ready for a stern lecture and a shit tone of scolds when you explain your reasoning

He just wants you to be safe and happy :)

Soundwave

Probably the most parental decepticon out of them all

NEVER let's you out of his sight and insists you either stay beside him or sit on his shoulder

Gets a little worried if you and Frenzy ever rough house (cause you is a fleshie)

If you wanted, he would teach you how to hack

Has unlimited patience and you test this. All the damn time.

He always knows when's somethings up, but won't force you to tell him if you don't want to

If you want any affection he'll give it to you

VERY PROTECTIVE and will kick someone's ass if they lay a atom on you

He can be stern in more serious situations but doesn't intend to make you upset

If you're ever hurt he goes into mom mode and patches your injuries no matter what size

Likes it when you sit on his shoulder and blabber nonsense. He's all ears to hear what you have to say, no matter how stupid it seems

Tarantulas

Questions himself how he "adopted" a human but goes with it

Always keeps you within a distance where he can pluck you up if he senses danger

If you're energetic he'll let you climb and swing from his extra limbs

Some days you can convince him to play hide and seek

If he sense someone coming, he has a tiny burrow hole your size and hides you in there

A little paranoid if you leave the lab that G.H.O.S.T might find you so you have a little living space

Likes to poke you with his extra legs to make you giggle

Will teach you new things and walk you through whatever inventions he's making

Is happy if you offer to help him

More than happy to comfort you in a situation and has many limbs to hug you better

Shockwave

He's like the strict dad who has eyes on the back of his head

Ironic for someone with only one eye but-

When you try and sneak out the lab or go for a walk, he'll ask where you're going or what you're doing without even turning

If you give him sass, he'll sass you back and you guys have a lot of playful bickers

Basically "home schools" you but not really

Just teaches you something new every day

Seems like he hates affection but will hold you in his hand or let you fall asleep on him as he works in the lab

Listens to every word you say and gives suggestions to help

You stump him all the time with shower thoughts

He makes sure you're healthy and makes you drink 8 cups of water a day as well as eating meals

Does not take no for an answer

Doesn't matter if you're 10 or a grown ass adult, he'll put you in a corner for time out

Oh he knows you're too old he just does it cause he's petty like that

Breakdown

Not the best influence but definitely one of the more fun ones

He'll take you on energon runs as he explains to you not to turn out like him

Takes you to an empty street or raceway to absolutely speed

He cracks dad jokes all the time.

If you have a bad day he'll try to make you laugh by jokes or something

He's protective of you to the point where when he knows the littlest thing of G.H.O.S.T in the area, yall are gone

Teaches you how to fight in case of an event where he cannot be there for you

Doesn't mind carrying you or letting you sit on his shoulder

He might be a douche sometimes and moves the shoulder you're on to catch you off guard

Laughs when you swear

I wouldn't say he's like a parent but more so a parent / big brother type of guy

Welp...this was a sticky situation that you got yourself into.

You've recently landed on earth just over a year ago, and already you're on the hiding from G H.O.S.T. agents and stuff. You thought this planet was gonna be a fresh start finally after the fuck long war, but nah. And to make things even worse? You were stuck in some giant ass web in the middle of a forest.

Scouting for energon was your only goal for the day, but now you're in trouble. Struggling against the webs, you tried to pull away but to no avail. The webs were too thick and strong and the more you squirmed the more you stuck.

"Scrap! Who puts traps in the middle of nowhere?!"

"I do." Said a voice.

The sound of someone else speaking was enough for you to stop moving and look around. You didn't see anyone at first, but a presence was felt, and you looked up to find a giant arachnid hiding up within the tree behind you.

"HOLY S-"

The face to face meeting was enough to make you jump and stumble a little, but to add to your luck, you lost balance and fell fully onto the web on your back.

"Scrap! Really?!" You groaned to yourself.

The spider bot thing seemed to be amused, but it was hard to read due to no expression on his face. It crawled down from the tree it was hiding in and transformed into its robot form. It hovered over you as you laid stuck in the web.

"Who are you? And what are you doing here?" The bot/con/spider asked, in an almost demanding tone.

"I'm y/n. I didn't mean any trouble, really! I'm just looking for some energon." You replied, hoping he would believe you.

The other bot tilted his head as he looked at you, like he was studying you. It was a pause of awkward silence before he spoke once again.

"...you don't look like an autobot...or a deceptiocon either..." he thought outloud.

"Thats because I'm neither. I tried to stay away from the war, not wanting to be dragged into it. It's been going on long enough..." you stated.

He seemed interested in this answer and if he had eyebrows he would've raised one.

"So you're neutral?" He asked.

"Yeah, I guess that's one way to explain it" you answered.

"What about you? Are you a bot or con?" You asked with interest.

"Neither, I suppose I'm like you, neutral" He replied.

You nodded in acknowledgement.

"Well, I guess we both can relate to something" you nervously chuckled, trying to lighten the mood with a bad joke.

To your surprise, he actually chuckled. He seemed amuse at your joke and a little more interested in getting to know you.

"So y/n, how long have you been hiding here?" He asked.

"Just a bit over a year now. I heard about this planet, but obviously, some issues have not been resolved yet." You sighed.

"Indeed. Some bots don't know when to give up and accept fate." He replied.

"Yeah....But hey. Since I'm not a threat...can you please maybe...?" You gesture to the webs holding you back and he seems to comprehend what you're trying to say right away.

"...I suppose, but if you try something I won't hesitate to harm you." He warned as he used his appendages to release you from the webs.

You stood up to your full height and looked back to him.

"Thank you...uhm. what's your name?"

"Oh, apologies. My name is Tarantulas" He replied.

"Ah, nice to meet you, Tarantulas. If you're not busy...maybe we can go scout for energon together? I'm assuming you're also on the run due to traps being everywhere."

Tarantulas head tilted up in suprise as he looked at your face for any signs of trickery or evil intentions, but he found none.

"If it makes it easier...you can come with me to my lair for some energon. It's safer and hidden so we won't have to worry." He suggested. If you listened really carefully you could almost find a hint of nervousness in his voice.

Giving a kind smile towards him, you extend your hand gently towards him and nod.

"Id like that." You replied.

His frame relaxed slightly as he took your hand and began walking towards his lair. The two of you walked together, and now you had someone who you could trust, and someone who was as neutral as you, and more importantly, you wouldn't be alone anymore.

General Tarantulas Headcannons

First things first, he sees humans as fragile so if you did befriend him he'd be keeping watch on you 24/7

Tries to keep you within and arms or appendage (is that what those are called?) length so he can snatch you up if something is too dangerous

If you're too energetic or keep annoying him he'll spin you into a web and stick you onto another one for his sanity

Likes to poke you with his claws(?) and extra limbs to get a reaction out of you

It took him ALOT of convincing but he let you ride on him in his spider ALT mode

It was a one time thing.

He asks a lot of questions about humans in general and you happily answer him

Laughs everytime you get stuck in his webs unintentionally but help you out...eventually

Some days if he's in a mood he just carried you and keeps you close(er) for the entire day and won't let you go unless you really needed to be

Helps scare off unwanted visitors and creeps

Overall, once you get to know him and he warms up to you, he's a pretty decent fellow

The Angst Part Of Your Relationship:

First things first, this is NOT a healthy relationship

There is a high chance the only reason he's with you is because you're a powerful ally

He also sees you as someone he can dispose of he grows tired of you

Has probably gaslight, manipulated, and guilt tripped you into doing things for him

He never shows you affection, it's always verbal "praises" but it's so monotone and cold it comes off as sarcastic

If he has to harm, kill, or sacrifice you to test something out or in order for his plans to be a success, he will not hesitate

He's so serious all of the time it's hard to please him and it makes you feel like you're the reason he's so cold towards you, and he doesn't try to reassure you at all about this

If you were to every get hurt he would tell you to deal with it yourself or have his arachnamechs (however tf you spell it) deal with you

He can go days without talking to you while working on a new project

If you made him mad he would probably abuse you

You're so scared being alone that you stay with him so you have someone and he abuses that

Wouldn't care if you tried to leave him, he'd most likely wave it off and continue working on whatever master plan he has
