WA Voter Pamphlet Shenanigans

Every time it’s time to vote, I read through my voter pamphlet and it seems there are more nut jobs than usual trying to run for office this year. What is it about local politics that brings all the crazies out of the woodwork?  

This guy was in jail for 17 years for murdering his girlfriend’s (at the time, I would hope she broke up with him after that) friend during an argument. He recently got out of jail after serving his full term and is running for a seat in the House of Representatives. 

But what’s even more of a crime is how he has to capitalize the first letter of nearly every single word in his sentences.  That’s a hard NO.

This guy must believe he is the only person who’s ever read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and understood them properly. I would hate to hear his interpretation of the Bible. He’s running for Senate.

I have no idea what’s going on with this guy. He’s running for Senate.

He was run out of town by the sheriff, which--how bad of a person do you have to be when your small town wants to kick you out?? I thought people being run out of town was an old-timey thing whose days were long gone, but apparently this still happens in 2022. Running for Secretary of State.

I bet this guy is a real pleasure to talk to, given all his education. At least, I’m sure that’s what he thinks. Running for Senate.

Love his tenacity. 10 years of running for office to bring more eyes to his personal vendetta against Sound Transit. Running for Senate.

Pretty sure this guy is a quack doctor running for Senate.

I’m happy he wanted to get an education, but I would hate to have to read one of his essays. Running for Senate
