i have to LOL at ppl calling bland, boring debling "mr steal ur girl," when if anyone is mr steal ur girl this season, it's colin. this man is unhinged, he does not care if pen is being courted by someone else, he WILL be chaos personified

saw another post saying colin wud be sad and tell debling that he won't interfere w their love but debling better treat pen right or else, and i had to laugh again bc once he does figure his feelings out, Colin would do anything in his power to snatch pen to his side. This man would NOT wait in the sidelines. Once he realizes, it's game over for literally any other man.

About a month ago, I was fuming about this being edited

They edited her face too much that even Nicola is obviously upset about it. (she posted left one which is original photo) And honestly who wouldn't be? They even edited her elbow and hardly even touched Luke. (Thank God but what the fuck?) Whoever did this shit needs to be fired because that's just so disrespectful to Nicola. I can't imagine how she felt after seeing this.

They're giving haters chance to mock Nicola and Luke with this too. It's like they're (whoever the fuck is responsible of this) thinking L&N aren't attractive enough as they are. 2+ years of being told ugly, fat, disgusting to look at etc etc by haters and now their fucking team is doing this.

There has been much Discourse™ about the costuming on this show, but one thing we can be certain of is how Bridgerton uses costumes to lend another layer to the story they are trying to tell. With that in mind, I think it's significant how often we are seeing Colin in brown and Penelope in green.

Penelope of course has a lot of these light, sea foam green dresses that we see throughout the trailer and many of the stills released. And Colin is very attached to this long brown coat that we see on several occasions, but we're also seeing a lot of brown detailing on his waistcoats as well.

With wallflowers in bloom as a theme for the season, I'm taking their respective color choices as representatives of that: Penelope, just barely green in these first few episodes, like a small plant on a journey, growing into the full, bright bloom of herself; Colin providing her foundation like soil, the earth from which she grows, providing her a safe and sturdy home, and all the nutrients (read: encouragement, attention, support) she needs to blossom.

I think their color palette will shift as the season progresses and they both grow into themselves and find each other on equal footing, but I think this is such a lovely place to start 🤎💚
