What’s did we do today ?
Movement director
The initial game-
Cork screw woman up and down arms like a corkscrew
Walking with a a water bucket where your hips are.
Take on the feeling of an object in the room - either it is IN you or it is in top of you ON your body.
Do 3 actions. Then what face are you doing? What face does the action feel like? What character could they be? Then do the actions quite quickly. Then make eye contact with the other person in the space doing their 3 actions. Then add some variations, one action is really slow. Mix it up. Then feel it and improvise with the other person. This can carry on and they can make noises, this exercise can start build characters. And dynamics between characters.
1.2.3 - 1 becomes an action -
Then 2, then 3. 2nd can be touch. 3rd can be levels. Then do this game but you can do the action whenever you want and do anythjnf in between. Created tension.
Lifts - bodies close - no gaps. Counter balance.

Yesterday we did -
Stretching.
Chasing game: one hand behind back - one hand like a gun - touch peoples back hand and you win. Get energy up after stretching - blood pumping
Walking around the room - you have a field of space around you the size of your arms - you have to balance space. Other people space gets bigger and smaller- see how this affects the dynamic- tasks for them run through etc.

This morning we did - yoga + stretching.
Then we did walking round the space
Then we did making eye contact
Then a choice of actions when you see someone in the space; doing a balance to the floor holding hands. Lifts, side balance, lift into legs around someone, side lift/lean, fire mans carry.
Trust exercises - one person plank style slowly falls other lowers down, and to sitting on floor
Then walking around the space - falling - put your arms out and the other performers catch you. Do this, but faster. Always balancing space and eye contacts to see who is going to fall.
Same but noise exercise:
One person stops and makes an ‘ah’ sound then other come over and make a noise - when they finish run off others also run in diff directions
Conducting exercise:
One person acts as conductor - point and signals to people they make whatever noise they want, coughing, buzzing, retching etc
Movement:
Free play and experimentation with holding tension with pipes -
