Design and tell
For this week’s game, I tried to make it pretty straight forward. The story is almost based on what happened to me a few weeks ago. The protagonist, which is me, is trying to collect all the money in order to reach the goal which is the play station. The antagonist, which is my father, is trying to stop the protagonist from spending money on games and spend them on car parts, that’s why he is throwing the parts at the protagonist in the game. The protagonist must avoid these parts in order to save money but if she is hit, she would have to pay those parts with the money she has collected and the original goal (which is buying the play station) keeps getting further and further.
As the protagonist collects money, the antagonist will chase her by appearing in the windows and throwing stuff at her. The protagonist must avoid these obstacles while collecting all the money she can in order to reach the goal.

For this week’s task, I got inspired from the previous game that we had to create which was the card game. I decided to eliminate the dice completely, use the cards to play while having the same old game layout. The rules are as follows:
Joker - after the joker is played, the next player skips his turn as if a joke was played on him
King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9 - the player can choose to either move a piece out of his base onto the starting square or move a piece that is in play (6 squares- biggest number the player can play)
8, 7 - the player can place a booby trap wherever he wants on the board. Whoever lands on that square, the player must go back 4 steps
6, 5, 4, 3, 2 - these are the normal moves that would have been played with the dice
Ace - the player can place a booby trap wherever he wants on the board but this time he is free to create the trap and be creative as much as he wants
Special King - from all the 4 kings, there is one without a moustache. Whoever gets this card,  the player must choose the biggest card from his deck and move forward that amount. He than chooses an other player and that player must move back the same amount.
If the players end up without any cards, they have to shuffle the discarded cards well and divide them again between them. To place the booby traps, cutouts can be used to indicate where it was placed. The objective is still the same; try to beat the other players while planning your strategy so that you will have better chances at winning.

Keep it Simple Stupid!
When we were given this task, I was worried since we had to create a game of our own. I kept on thinking on how to invent something different from the other students and at the same time easy to play. After 5 days of generating ideas, I came up with a game ‘Ho Vinto!’.
While I was testing the game with my mother, she won immediately and with the excitement she stood up and started shouting “Ho vinto ho vinto”. That’s how I came up with the name. 
The game goes like this; each player must begin with a total of 9 cards and 1 card must be placed on the table facing upwards. The number one rule that the players must follow is that the next card which is being played can be of the same suit and different number or same number and different suit. If the player ends up with one card, which for example is the 6 of clubs (black) and the card which is on top is the 3 of spades (black), he or she cannot play the card just because of its colour. In this case, the player must take a card from the deck until he or she has a valid card that can be played.
The main challenge of this game is to understand fully the rules and to plan your strategy wisely.  The only objective of ‘Ho Vinto!’ is to out-win the other player in the shortest time possible.
