ABOUT
Bio
Kyle Mantha is an emerging content writer from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He began writing at a young age, often crafting short stories and comic books for friends and family to read. His very first article was published on the electronic music blog The Refix in 2015. That same year, he went on to become a writer for Ayoswim, a California-based art and music blog. He has interviewed several semi-notable artists for the blog, including former Brockhampton member Titus Gilner, rappers Ian Maverick and K-Yall, and singer/producer Gian Nazario. He was heavily involved in the blog’s first physical magazine publication, and is currently developing a hip hop themed encyclopedia with blog owner Auguste Somers. Kyle’s words have also been published in Inquiring Minds magazine, an independent magazine created by artist Jimi Somewhere.
In 2018, Kyle began contributing freelance work to Vocal Media.
Kyle’s writing style is naturalistic, with a sarcastic and satirical edge. His work fluctuates from biting social commentary to well-reasoned cultural critiques. His main areas of expertise are music and politics, but he is well-versed in a variety of fields and topics including sports, fashion, and cinema.
Kyle currently serves as a writer for Ayoswim. He also manages various social media accounts and provides creative direction for emerging artists.
