arcana headcanon. 20. judgement : is your muse forgiving of themselves ? how about of others who wrong them ?

Simply put, Adonis is forgiving of everyone and yes this does include himself. Despite his imposter syndrome, he is one of the most emotionally well adjusted character who understands his worth and the intricacies of others' psychology which he is able to put clearly into words.

I think this moment in Climax really shows how Adonis is confident on his place in the world, focus on what he has control of and does not hold it against others for the world to be the way it is, even if unfair. He also does not hesitate to put his foot down and tell things how they are:

As for forgiving people, Adonis tends to forgive the friends who wronged him right away, believing in the best in others. I do not think it comes from him even lowering his self-esteem, I think he genuinely believes that people like, let's say, UNDEAD members when the unit was at its lowest, can better themselves if given the chance. Adonis never gives up on people, and it is what makes him so damn precious.

A special case would be Eichi Tenshouin, however. During Summer Vacation, Eichi threatened Adonis and plotted against UNDEAD. To protect Rei, Adonis leaked his status as the son of a powerful figure in his home country, making him vulnerable but making fine's plot fail.

Following this, Adonis was taught ballroom dancing by Eichi and Yuzuru and taught the former self-defence as an extra thank you. He even wholeheartedly supporting Eichi in getting a co-star role in a drama with him and then took care of him with others after Eichi was in pain post the self-defence class. All this while Adonis was aware of Eichi and Rei having a tumultuous past as he mentions it in Sandstorm... then there is this:

Sandstorm takes place after Fair Waltz. And Rei is telling Adonis, I'm paraphrasing, that Adonis fell for Eichi's act of wanting to... stop doing cruel and evil acts which hurt people. The moment is self-explanatory. Rei and Adonis have known each others since childhood. Rei understands how Adonis' mind must think when it comes to Eichi, and how benevolent Adonis is. Adonis is at loss for words, he is... sad. Disappointed... but he is not angry at Eichi.

He is a pacifist not for show, he is at heart. The truth is... even if he might be on guard around Eichi, at most, or fight against him if needed to protect his loved ones... Adonis could not build resentment against Eichi, because Adonis is someone devoid of hatred. He will forgive anyone.

Fingers tucked hair behind the other’s ear as Madara smiles softly—- being gentle with someone like this is strange, Madara made sure he put up walls to not become like this around anyone. Yet it was nice, and made him feel warm on the inside. It had been a long day, he pushed himself during this track meet as he was just overwhelmed with it all.

Had he thought Adonis was going to wait for him? No of course not, but it was nice. Maybe that’s why Madara was playing with fire today— his hand went to Adonis’ cheek now thumbing ever so slowly. “Adonis-san, you really didn’t have to wait for me, you know.” He leans in closer “buuuut you did anyway didn’t you? Let me thank you for that.” Without another word he closed the gap between them, kissing Adonis slowly, softly— he wanted it to be sweet rather than something rushed and sloppy.

His relationship with the captain might have been one-sidedly tumultuous, however, it did not stop Adonis from being open to making friend with Madara, as he gained more confidence through Koga to reach out to people. As he had befriended Arashi and Mitsuru, his club senior was the only one remaining, having barely been there as he was constantly oversea. This is when grabbing something to eat after the club meeting came up, with Mitsuru and Arashi going ahead at a local café to have a good table.

As vice captain, Adonis had been waiting at the gate for his senior... and never expected this to happen.

The captain had always striked him as odd. While being used to physical contact as friendly and welcomed from Anatolia, Adonis was still surprised to receive any from his senior, having not done anything he believed of note to grant special treatment: was Madara more influenced by his time oversea to drop a bit of Japanese decorum? While he was wondering and reading the other's body language, the young man felt something press against his lips... and it took a moment for it to entirely register: the entire kiss, in fact, as he became paralyzed, glued into place.

"―!!!!" For long, long seconds, Adonis remained speechless. He could not find the words to express himself. Only stunned by what had just happened. He felt like he had something to do. Something about a table? But he had entirely forgotten about it. All sense of responsibility shattered as his mind entirely focused on the present moment. What had just transpired.

"Senpai..?" Was the only thing he could finally mutter in his deep voice, unable to naturally move on. Unable to find an explanation... his shaken body language could only ask why. His mind was too pure to imagine anything on the spot.

Koga presses himself in against Adonis, heightened sense of smell readily breathing in the other's scent. Head bumps up beneath the chin of the taller, tip of nose nuzzling into their neck. He's gotten rather excited within the closeness of their warmth. Soft, low rumble from the wolf. He keeps himself in against them regardless of how Adonis may respond in turn. Thus, without much thought behind it, Koga decides on his own accord to part his jaw and chomp down upon their collar bone, nibbling at the spot and tugging on the skin lightly.

A slight blush colors Adonis' cheeks: he is used to Koga being physical with him, but this type of embrace is a level above the usual casual intimacy they have... Arms naturally find themselves holding onto his partner's sides, while amber eyes watch him acting a bit spoiled, claiming his body and attention. Despite himself, Adonis' mind is comparing Koga to an adorable puppy at the moment... he is being very cute.

... too cute.

A brief groan was heard when Adonis basically lifted Oogami by the waist, quickly switching their position. Their eyes momentarily meet before taller is moving in for a kiss, but one which grows hungrier quite quickly. With bodies pressing against one another, and teeth nibbling against the wolf's lip. Strong hands travel to Koga's hands, expecting him to retaliate, only to caress its length and grab onto the wrist, gently but firmly pining the wolf down at the larger young man's mercy.

At some point, the passionate kisses turn into nibbling, bites, from cheek to jawline, neck, and then returning to lips. From who to who? There is no telling in the rustling of warmth and intimacy, offensives dancing in sync, the two of them so in tune with one another's body through the years. No or nearly no words spoken, only their shared affection to the other's desires, no matter how messy, as Adonis curve forward, frame rubbing against Koga to further their closeness.

Long before Koga had walked up to him did Adonis recognize the sound of those combat boots on the floor, followed by the familiar scent and touch. The young man did not speak at first, eyes raising from the song lyrics he had been memorizing to where he felt a familiar chomp.

To do so was a way for the wolf to show his affection... but since they hadn't been cuddling prior, Adonis wondered if he was being embraced all of a sudden because the other had a long day or if something was bothering him.

The young man gently leaned into the chomp, encouraging Koga and letting him stay there as long as he wanted. Once he stopped, he'd cup his partner's cheek to give him a proper tender kiss on the lips as greeting, forehead leaning against the other's.

"I'm happy to see you too, Oogami."
