reaching out to cat genetics loving tumblr to see everyone’s opinion on my little guy’s color :]

none of us can tell if he’s seal or chocolate, as his color has been changing so much as he’s aged. here’s some pictures spanning from when we first got him (~8 weeks) to the present (~5 months)

it’s something i’ve been curious about lately, especially since he’s just a little accident randombred dude we got from a buddy for free. i’ll be thrilled to see what anyone thinks :]

YOU get a picture of my fishtank. it’s not anything special rn but i just put in some vals, water lettuce, and tiger lotus, so hopefully it gets a little more jungle-y before i pick up my rasboras :]

yeah i don’t even do ferts or anything like that (they’re a little out of my budget rn…) and they’ve been growing like monsters for no reason lol. all’s they’ve got in there is a snail and some almond leaves so idk what’s up with em but i don’t mind it

i have some supernatural luck with crypts bc i’ve never had melt or anything happen with them. moved my bunch from my 16 to my 20long in completely new substrate on completely different water params & lighting, after they’d been in the 16 from upwards of a year and… nothing. they’re doing better than they were before now tbh. i always thought crypts would be a pain for being so fussy about moving & new water but my wendtii are chillin

june 20th - july 10th

introducing jesse!

i got him the same day i had to let go of pepperoni. it wasn't my idea to walk back home with a new betta immediately, but i went to the store to order one for next week, and when i got there... they had several bettas together in one tank, fighting. so i made sure to tell them that's not a viable way of keeping bettas, and i decided to buy the one that had the most damage.

he's doing a great job with recovery as you can see! he's very feisty, active and curious, and he has had such a blast discovering plants, snails and frozen food 🥰

it’s been a while since i posted ! life has been hectic, i moved a few weeks ago, and crush passed away a few days before that so…. i’ve been busy. i retired his 16gal cube, and snatched the driftwood & crypts out of it to put in a 20 long that i’ve been wanting to start forever.

no fish in this for a while as it cycles & i do life stuff, but i’ve got plans for a little community

water’s kind of cloudy and light because of water change day but the 16 gal. blackwater that i just kind of let do what it please aside from water changes and poking at the ludwigia politely and noncommittally. little man seems plenty happy with it so i don’t mind that it looks like shit honestly

How strict was/is dress code in your schools? Because every now and then I see people online being like “oh boys couldn't have long hair in mine and girls had to tie theirs also no hairdye or piercings or visible tattoos” or “girls couldn't wear shorts or show their shoulders or can't use makeup”, and I'm always like “?????” man me and most of my classmates would have ben expelled from your schools so quickly

#no shoulders no tank tops no shorts that are too short #uhhmmmmm lemme think #when i was younger i went to a school with a uniform and i think the most ridiculous thing was that #socks could only be navy black white brown or plaid #i always got in trouble for the wrong socks
