What would Draconequus!Twilight dynamics be with the Mane Six and Spike?(and any other interesting character interactions?)

Rarity: thinks Twilight's genuinely gorgeous, and is utterly baffled by how the Canterlot elite treat rumors of her. She's not traditionally pony-pretty, but Rarity thinks traditional is starting to go out of fashion, anyway. (its all rather narrow minded stuff.) She's the first pony Twilight knows who personally modifies clothing for her. Twilight gets her first outfit post-Draconequus change as a grown adult from Rarity.

Fluttershy: initially sees Twilight like how she sees Spike - like a really fascinating animal. It's not until a few conversations later that she realizes both of them aren't to be prodded at like her animals, and she's very embarrassed that she acted like they were. Afterwards they're chill

Rainbow Dash: WANTS DESPERATELY TO KNOW HOW FAST TWILIGHT CAN FLY. (twilight technically doesn't fly. her wings are there for decoration. she automatically floats, but her wings DO react as though they're what's pulling her. its not. its magic. its always magic)

Pinkie Pie: acts exactly the same. DOES really like it when Twilight breathes fire, though, because it sparkles

Applejack: is the most sympathetic out of the bunch. she knows Twilight is more afraid of ponies than ponies will ever be of her, and is automatically a lot friendier to her because of it. she treats Twilight not like a pony, but still like an equal, which is something the others have to pick up on. (Applejack also works with the most nonponies out of the bunch - sheep and pigs and cattle and all that, some of whomst ARE sentient and she cares for)

Nightmare Moon: gets an auto-crush on twilight because upon meeting they try to tear each other's faces off, and she thinks thats hot

Princess Luna (reformed): is very ashamed that she tried to flirt with Twilight while trying to take over the world. (still has a minor crush on her anyway tho)

Shining Armor: is so protective of Twilight, he graduates from the academy early so he can use his rank to keep an eye on her easier. He doesn't visit her in ponyville personally for a while to give her space and privacy, but when Discord drops in, limiters are off, big brother mode initiated, he tries to fight Discord by himself and does NOT win but good try big man

Princess Cadence: wants to WHACK Celestia upside the head for not just letting Discord out, like she suggested from the start. has been a really good confidant for Twilight for many, many years, and is always willing to drop everything and help her. Personally she would've snuck Twilight out of that stupid tower but Celestia kept a keen eye on her, and Cadence didn't want to cause a civil war getting into a shouting match with her fellow princess

I'm rather curious how twilight became a draconaquiss? (Or did I misread, and that twilight's always been a draconaquiss)

remember how when she got her cutie mark, twilight like, accidentally turned her parents into cacti? she had an episode like that again, only she was the only one there. as a result, the powers that be - in order to preserve her life - transformed her using that reality-altering bubble into a creature that could physically handle that amount of magic without hurting her, aka, a draconequus.

tdlr: she had another magical explosion and it reformatted her into a program that could more easily process magic

HOLY DHIT

I’ve talked before about my theories about the full potential of Ruby’s semblance. That being, Ruby’s ability to deconstruct and reconstruct herself at a molecular level has some pretty wild applications.

Among others, the ones I think are the most interesting are Ruby effectively being able to shapeshift, ie; she can reconstruct her body, her clothing and Crescent Rose into entirely new shapes and forms. And on top of that, Ruby’s ability to reconstruct herself would potential allow to recover from just about any injury. Whether it be losing a limb, being impaled, cut to pieces or even EXPLODED, one activation of her semblance later and Ruby is back to normal. Effectively giving a ‘healing factor’ on par with Salem’s immortality.

And the thing is, I think abilities like these are thematically perfect for Ruby.

You know how there’s been a lot of discussion on how it seems like every character’s semblance seems to represent the major flaw/problem that character has spent the show grappling with in some way or another? Often in some dramatically ironic way? Like how Weiss is a girl who has been working so hard to separate herself from the baggage and burden of her family’s responsibility and legacy, yet has what seems to be the ONLY fully-hereditary semblance in existence? And in Ruby’s case, of course the girl who has spent the entire show, and likely much of her life running away from her pain and trauma has a speed semblance.

But the funny thing is, for Ruby it’s pretty clear that the show has already started building to a big subversion of this idea. In Volume 7 we see that while Ruby has always thought she had a speed semblance, Harriet voices that it’s probably something else.

And in Volume 8, Penny outright confirms that Ruby’s semblance ISN’T ‘speed’, but rather the ability to deconstruct and reconstruct herself at a molecular level.

It turns out that Ruby was wrong about what her semblance actually did. And through that, it turns out that this idea of Ruby’s semblance representing her attempts to run away from her pain are likewise flawed.

And now that we are in a Volume set to explore themes of transformation and our characters discovering who they might truly be, I think this is going to be the perfect time for Ruby, and the narrative, to reevaluate just what it is her semblance represents.

Because whereas Ruby’s Petal Burst simply being speed represented Ruby’s fixation on running away from her pain, Petal Burst being molecular deconstruction/reconstruction can instead represent Ruby’s unshakable idealism fully realized.

Now there is no obstacle that can stop her, because there is nothing she cannot move around or through. There is no challenge she cannot find a solution for, because she is infinitely adaptable. And there is NOTHING that can truly break her for good, because she can ALWAYS build herself back up from her literal molecules.

In other words, Ruby’s body may be weak and breakable, but her spirit is INDOMITABLE.
