ARTICLE 370 ( 2024 )

This is one of the great movies from Bollywood in recent times & one of the great political dramas too. For me, the depth in explaining everything about Article 370 & Yami Gautam's performance would be its main highlights.

All the actors have also portrayed their role well. Although the story gets predictable at many moments but they have done well in going to depths about how the whole process happened.

Also the music at some scenes were also really good. And another good thing is that it does not force any patriotism but delivers a good, intense & serious storyline.

TERI BAATON MEIN AISA ULJHA JIYA

Honestly, I had expected something more but this was dumb, cringe & sometimes a little fun. The concept of the robot was handled well but other than that, the movie has pathetic writing, cringe dialogues & dumb characters.

Shahid Kapoor felt cringe at many moments, Kriti Sanon has done a good job. The story also feels unfinished with an abrupt ending. And if they are going for a sequel, they really have to do better than this.

INVINCIBLE : SEASON 2❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Getting a second season after 3 years & that too in 2 parts, that were 4 months apart, it was a lot of wait but it was so worth it!! The second season takes its story, character development, brutality & trauma to the next level.

Seeing the 2nd Part, I realised that the 1st part that came last year was a set-up for the main thing to happen in this part. And right from the start, they got into business. And as always, Invincible was carrying it's amazing plot twists & surprises.

And to talk about the finale, that was INCREDIBLE!! The way Mark lost his control, it was thrilling to watch but to watch him facing the consequences, well done on the writing. Huge credits to the writing for character development this season.

And some great things are set up for the future, for which I hope that we will get the next season really soon. And I am gonna start reading it's comics now. Brilliant season, brilliant show, one of the best and now one of my favs❤️❤️

3 BODY PROBLEM ( 2024 )

The first half was really good but it takes a dip in the second half. The first half was creating a suspense & mystery around things but after that revelation, it wasn't interesting enough. And the sci-fi element was good in its amount. And the last 2 episodes were setting up things for the second season rather than concluding things for this season. But I have to say that I had more expectations, but I will look forward to the second season.

FIGHTER ( 2024 ) 🇮🇳🇮🇳

Siddharth Anand has delivered greatly on an patriotic aerial action thriller. For India's first aerial action movie, this was really good. And that's the best part, how they have captured the essence of the Indian Air Force.

Every actor did their performance well, especially Hrithik Roshan, he just knows how to portray the emotions in every situation. And Sid Anand just knows how to use the charms of Hrithik Roshan. Truly one of the best duos in Indian cinema.

Being someone who absolutely loves the Top Gun franchise, I was eager to see this genre in India & I am not disappointed at all. The aerial action scenes were done really well. Credits to Sid Anand & D-NEG for that work.

Also, the movie doesn't take a cringe & over the top take on patriotism but an emotional & heartful connection. The movie makes full use of its run time without dragging or rushing anything. Also, the movie pays the utmost respect to the IAF which they deserve.

Although some songs are good, the placement was bad. And to conclude, this was a really great movie. Great work from Sid Anand, who is always trying something new every time. Well Done!!

ROAD HOUSE ( 2024 ) ❤️‍🔥

It was fun & charming in its own way. The movie gets really exhilarating in its fight scenes but aside from that, it's not interesting enough. But loved the fight scenes, that aggression & manliness was damn good!!

Jake Gyllenhaal was brilliant in his build for this film. And him vs Conor McGregor was really fun to watch. Also loved some camera work & fight choreography. Although apart from that, the script needed some work. But still, I'd keep this in my good books.

That was bad. The movie fails at every department especially the script. And for a superhero movie, it lacked every element of it. And it doesn't even matter Sony's Universe nor does it connect to the Spider-Verse. To conclude, a waste.

KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON (2023)

From the trailers, I expected a murder mystery or crime thriller but this was rather about the humanity of Ernest Buckhart & how far he would go. Although the movie makes you sit back & relax, the mind was in the film the whole time.

The screenplay was slow paced making it impossible to be out of the movie anytime. We already knew who was doing it & how but it was about how deep a human can fall in greed. And that was really fun to watch.

All the actors performed really well but Leonardo DiCaprio totally stole the show. He was into the character the whole time & some points, he just went beyond amazing. Deserved an Oscar nomination for that. And these performances elevated the storyline.

Some other highlights were Martin Scorsese's Direction, cinematography, production & costume design, background music in some scenes & the intensity maintained throughout. Movies like these make 3.5hrs & slow paced movies enjoyable.

NO RESERVATIONS (2007) 🍲🍽️

I went in for a good rom-com & it was better than that. The way characters grow with a happy ending, that was pretty heart warming to watch. And for movies like these, I should definitely have something to eat with me, Food in Movies>>>>

Catherine Zeta-Jones was absolutely beautiful & Aaron Eckhart had his charm. Although would have liked to see more of the food but it still made me hungry. This is no doubt gonna be one of my comfort movies❤️❤️

HANU-MAN ( 2024 )

The movie had its ups & downs but it's ending was just so satisfying that I finished it on a high note. The movie had an average production quality but keeping the budget in mind, Prasanth Varma has done a good job.

Although the screenplay of the movie feels abrupt at many places but the vibe was maintained through it. And the VFX was not the best but it can be passed looking at the budget. Hell, even 700 crores movies is below this.

Although the movie lacked a good antagonist. Although he was shown as dominating, the character lacked soul. And the color palette of the movie needed some improvement. The red colour was too much bright throughout the movie.

But the movie does an excellent job in reminding me of my childhood superhero, the OG - Hanuman ji. In this world of Batman & Spider-Man, Bajrang Bali will always be my hero. And that's how I felt connected to the movie.

Coming to my favourite part, the Ending. As a director, you have to land the ending no matter how the movie was & Prasanth Varma nailed it. The movie peaked there. That scene with Hanuman Chalisa in the background was just EPIC.

Watching that scene for first time, I stood up & sang the Hanuman Chalisa along the movie with a smile on my face throughout. Thats the reaction a movie should get out of you. And I watched that scene 2-3 times more in the same manner.

And with that, Prasanth Varma has set up a great sequel. Jai Hanuman hold so much potential & this time, with even bigger budget. To conclude, the movie have its flaws but no doubt it's a great effort & we are gonna see a big improvement next time!!

HELLO WORLD ( 2019 )

This movie had a lot of potential to be a great sic-fi romance story but it suffers from its flaws. The concept of the Real world & Virtual World could have been more fleshed out more to make it less confusing & rather astonishing.

Seeing the basic concept of the movie, I can say that it's creator has some great thoughts behind this but it didn't come out well on the screen. Also, I would have liked the would have picked a streamlined sci-fi way rather than having rom-com in it.

And being a movie where the protagonist time travels to save the love of his life, the character development was missing. Those two were just starting to get into a romance and for a saving event like that, clearly more depth & development was needed.

Also, the time travel was not explored much. And the movie features some futuristic technology but fails to show us their origin & doesn't explain much about it. And the movie has a 3D animation which was pretty smooth but I would have preferred the 2D art.

But to mention some of its good part, it's rom-com part felt really wholesome & the movie was really colorful & some shots were really good from the movie. The movie really looked like it was aimed high in the sci-fi world but nonetheless, it was good.

Although it's post-credit was something to think about. And this is now for those movies that I would like to revisit in the future to get a second chance at understanding it & experience it.

Well , that was a great rom-com!! Filled with some cute romance which makes you smile & some comedy moments to make you laugh, it was sure a fun one. Also, loved the gameplay conversations & chibi animation. Enjoyed it✌️👌

MERRY CHRISTMAS (2024) 🌲🌲

My first movie from 2024. And now this is not the best from Sriram Raghavan but still it was great. The movie excelled at building suspense with its slow pace. The performances were good & that retro vibe was captured beautifully.

The movie was slow in its first half & may have got a little fast in its climax. Although being a murder mystery, there was not much Mystery to the murder but to hide it. The movie builds anticipation well but does not reward it that well.

POOR THINGS ( 2023 )

This movie made me realise that not every Oscar nominee is not good. The movie felt really long with a really slow pace & it gets boring many times. And the main point was the story & it's ideologies, which was bad & didn't resonate with me at all.

The movie looked like it was to promote woman empowerment but I didn't find a single thing related to that subject. Story & ideologies don't look like that it's made in this century and seemed pretty backward.

The performances were cringe but it was a script where the movie lacked. The director has his unique style but it is not something appreciable. And unfortunately this is now one of those movies I wish I had never watched. And this was clearly not for me.

BUDDY DADDIES ( 2023 )

This was so good!! At start it's concept looked like Spy X Family but this was so much better than that. The comedy, the wholesome moments, connection with characters, emotions & a satisfying ending.

And the best part for me was that the creators didn't went to stretch this to more seasons but have it's story a satisfying ending. And that was so delightful to see.

SALAAR: PART 1 - CEASEFIRE

The movie suffers from a terrible first half the second half compensates for it well enough. The first half was a mediocre mass but second half had great world building, politics & mass moments.

Although compared to KGF, the Cinematography & BGM does not stand out but it does it work. And with this, Prabhas finally has a comeback. & Yes, I am excited for the 2nd Part.
