Hello Claude! That last ask made me think of something, how would Jehan react to taking confession from someone who admitted abusing a child?

(hell, for more fun, what if its his godson he is abusing - provide some lovely parallels for our boy~)

In a stream once we went and read Canon law and apparently a priest can withhold absolution if they have doubt about the disposition of the penitent. So I think he likely would do that. I mean, how could he not doubt if the penitent was truly sorry if they hadn't turned themselves in?

It would not be fun for him though. I mean luckily confession can be a vague thing. And it's not like he isn't aware kids get abused. But still. It's a wound that's only lightly scabbed over.
