I hope that one day you get the chance to become who you truly are. To shine. I don’t believe that we are born the way we are destined to be forever. I’m not sure whether I believe in fate, but I don’t think anyone is fated to live their life hiding behind shadows of the person that has been forced onto them. You weren’t fated to become the mirror image of the world around you. I have an infinite number of questions about the universe, but I’m pretty sure that the universe has an infinite number of answers to give, and if that’s true, at least one of those answers was made specifically for you. And even this world, small as it, holds an infinite number of possibilities. The town you grew up in isn’t made of diamonds, and someday you’ll find a place that reflects your shine so beautifully that you’ll start to really call it home. Your mother isn’t always right. And whatever it is that is holding you back will one day be the thing that you know made you stronger. I don’t believe that we are stuck like this. Because sometimes it takes a crack in the glass for your foundations to fall down, and sometimes your broken foundations are a sign that it’s time to build new ones. And for this, you have all the time in the world.
