Why I Decided to Activate My YouTube Channel

I’ve created my YouTube channel way back 2014. In the Philippines, vlogging was not a huge thing back then. I’ve uploaded a couple of videos which I’ve already deleted. 

Hence, the very first video on my channel was titled Vlog 3. I’ve deleted 1 and 2 due to copyright claims. 

In 2017, I was very fond of reaction videos from the FBE Channel. I’ve also stumbled upon YouTube Reactors creating content about their impressions of the Filipino Culture, Singers, and the Philippines. This created the idea in my head to create a reaction channel. 

The idea was there but the equipment and skill was not. I’ve also started working and did not have the time to focus on creating contents and growing a channel. Though, I’ve always had the passion for photography, hence, I was more into Instagram than YouTube during those years. 

During the lock downs due to the pandemic, I decided to resign from my job and start growing my channel. With a small budget, I’ve purchased a computer setup, ring lights, and headsets with microphones to improve the contents that I’ve been putting on my channel. 

Towards the end of the year, Boys Love series started to flourish in the Philippines. This made me decide to create reaction videos about them as I’m also part of the LGBTQIA+ community. 

Moreover, this is my way of slowly introducing to my true self to my family. I know they know but we never really talked about it. 

So, why did I decide to reactive my YouTube Channel? Because it’s the right time.
