"Rent should be no more than 30% of household income" is a really funny and roundabout way to say "property owners as a class are entitled to 30% of gross wages"
“how to fix hip dips” “buccal fat removal” “how to appear more attractive to men” “divine feminine” “bbl” “how to fix smile lines” “how to get poreless skin”
I think so as well, it's just that it's hard to make it fit, that given that the Gadsden flag rattlesnake is supposed to be a libertarian mascot. "Tread harder daddy" is a phrase used to make fun of libertarians for being cop bootlickers, it doesn't make any sense that they'd take the phrase and then apply it to their boy doing "The Jab" to a "maskie".
So I came across this and I'm so confused
like what the fuck is even going on here
this is from a supposedly "libertarian" webstore too
You know, in hindsight, most of the warnings about the dangers of "scientism" come from the religious right
like yeah science has been used to justify some heinous shit but it's hard to say that much bad happened from trying to apply peer review and rigor to shit
You kinda see humanity's bias in invention as rock-throwing pursuit predators when you see them inventing machines that allow them to fly around the world to fling a variety of rocks at each other extremely fast
Okay look this probably comes off as needlessly hostile so I need to be absolutely clear: The meme the post in the screenshot is responding to is about shitting on the idea of sending social workers to deal with people experiencing a mental health crisis rather than cops. Absolutely nothing in here was about dispensing justice to criminals or "stopping the threat" in a defense scenario.
Even people who think society should have cops recognize that using them to deal with mental health interventions is not ideal and unfair to everyone involved. This post is specifically dealing with the idea that "psychos" are a special outgroup that must be brutally put down by tough Boys In Blue.
This is not about a random encounter with someone in crisis. If you see a large man "covered in his own shit swinging a metal pole" as a random person, it's probably best for everyone that you mind your own business and walk away. This is not the time to hallucinate a speech about Kitty Genovese and get your Boondock Saints on.
