How do you make those vinyl noses? Can you provide step-by-step pictures to help me (and others) understand?
Hi Anon! I usually sculpt my vinyl noses from foam first, then pattern them using tape, and cut the pattern in half to make sure it will come out symmetrical. Then I just sew the vinyl up according to the pattern, sometimes with stabilizer or fleece backing.

Hello there! I have a question regarding tail construction! My character is reptilian with a tail that will be longer than I am tall. Should I fill it with stuffing, or buy a separate sheet of foam especially for that? If you recommend a separate sheet, should I stuff it anyway? Thanks!
If you’re looking to make a tail that is rigid and horizontal in construction, foam work would best. Make a pattern from your foam sculpt similar to the way patterns are made for other fursuit parts (duct-tape pattern) and leave a long open seam somewhere so you can slide the fur “skin” over the tail and then hand-sew it shut with a hidden stitch. Good luck!

Hi there! May I ask what website you purchased the main grey fur on Mint and Tea? It would help me a lot
It’s the same 2″ gray fur that can be found on fabric.com, distinctivefabric.com, syfabric.com, and fursuitsupplies.com :)

I was wondering if you could offer me some advice on follow-me eyes. While I've got the illusion down I can't figure adding eyelids. Any advice? Also I was wondering how do you get the eye whites so white is it done with plastic or...? Thanks. I love your work.
Hi vjcoon, yes my eyes are made from plastic :) I add the eyelids over them after the head is furred - but I have seen some people put in the eyelids before the furring process, so it is really up to preference. You can use a variety of materials for the eyelids including stiffened felt, fleece, or foamies.

Just finished up this lass from April, she's Chicory Clover, a kitsune with a cotton-candy (or neapolitan ice cream?) inspired color scheme! She has three tails, which can be worn separately or together. She also has poseable ears, 3d follow-me eyes, resin teeth and top fangs, and indoor feetpaws. She debuted this past weekend at BLFC in Reno! FA link: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16465059/

Hi! I have become interesting in starting to make fursuits, and i don't know how to sew the fur onto the head! How do you do it?
Hi Anonymous, as far as I know, suitmakers actually don’t sew the fur onto the foam mask! We glue the fur on using a hot glue gun. The fur itself is sewn together to make a “skin” that we use hot glue to attach to the foam headform. There are many helpful tutorials on youtube and other websites to help with making fur face patterns :)

How do you get out there if you are just starting to become a fursuit maker. I just opened shop, but haven't got any examples since I don't want to make one for my own and my friends don't want any either
Hi craftingfur! Along with lots of other suitmakers, I started making suits as a hobby for myself about a year before turning to making them professionally. I began by studying tutorials, buying a small amount of materials and experimenting with making paws, tails, and eventually masks. After I broke through my first two or three suits I felt confident enough to sell partials on auction sites like Furbuy or TheDealersDen, and I was able to use the costumes I was making as examples. I made sure to keep contact with the people who purchased my first few costumes to see how I could improve vision/ventilation/comfort, etc. and sold them relatively cheap. I began taking commissions in late 2008, and since then my quality, workmanship and symmetry has improved so much and my prices have risen as well. Becoming a pro fursuit maker is a long, dedicated process, but if you love making costumes, just keep making them! The quality of your work will always improve with time, effort and practice! Also, you should always have multiple examples of your work with lots of good photo angles, to display your skills and help potential customers grasp your style. Good luck! :)

Finally got around to posing for some proper pics of Polly! I actually finished this suit in early January in time for FC 2015. This is a personal suit, and my first foray into digitigrade padding! Polly has lightweight pillow-style pads in her legs, calves and bum. I still feel like my digi needs work to look exactly how I want it to, so won't be offering this as an option on future costumes just yet. She is a feral pig, basically a shaggy cousin of domestic pigs, but I also took some artistic license. Polly also has 3d eyes, vinyl tusks, floppy weighted ears, a hidden chest-zipper and poseable curly tail!

Had the honor of contributing to the army of Sybers this March! Totally in love with the design of this suit, I really enjoyed the uniqueness and challenge of each part and she was so fun to make. This aussie-coyote cutie has 3d follow-me eyes, a vinyl nose, a row of resin snaggle teeth, weighted tongue, hidden chest zipper, and an attached tail with removable padding. Look for this suit at FWA next week! FA link: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16182214/
