Family Time

Rory kept up a close relationship with his family. There were outings to the park, houseparties, and of course, he invited Hunter and her new husband over for dinner with him and Bethann.

Victor continued to visit often with Clara.

Arlo sometimes came along, but he's not interested in children, and spent most of his time taking baths.

SUCCESS!!!

Clara maxed all her toddler skills, all the character values, and learned several languages.

Unfortunately I had made an error with some of my settings, and that combined with an OP mod that was still in Beta meant that Clara kinda got through her toddler stage learning FAST.

Independent little bean...

Even with Victors near constant presence in the apartment and Rory's attentive care, Clara still managed to go wandering out of the apartment and around the streets of San Myshuno more than once.

Best of Buds

Rory pretty much doted on Clara constantly.

He played with her the minute he got home from work.

He served her breakfast while he drank his morning coffee.

He chatted with her in the evenings when she played on her tablet (and he drank yet more coffee).

He took her to the park and played with her in the paddling pools.

It was all pretty idyllic really. He might not be rich like Victor was when he was a toddler, but Clara did not want for ANYTHING.

Grand Speeches!

Rory continued to give speeches, and unfortunately there were still no attendees. So he made impossible campaign promises to the empty air.

After a long day running after Clara, and giving speeches to empty chairs, Rory was constantly exhausted.

Building Relationships

Sometimes Victor would come over and entertain Clara in the hallway so that Rory and Bethann could have some 'grown up time' in the house.

Bethann had no trouble taking charge in the relationship, and Rory kind of liked it.

She did pamper him a bit...

Victor and Clara

Victor was besotted with Clara from the get go. She was his first grand child and he adored her.

He visited often, to 'give Rory a break' he said, but everyone could tell he just loved having a small child to dote on again. Victor had always been a family sim.

The only aspect of Rory's parenting that he didn't approve of, was that Rory wasn't speaking to Clara in Sixami. Victor felt it important for Clara to not lose touch with her roots, no matter how Rory felt about being Sixami, or Clara's origins.

Hunter gets MARRIED.

So around this point I had a little squiz at the households and discovered that Hunter had gotten married!

At first I was a bit perturbed. She was only a young adult, so had a very low chance of marriage (1%), but then I took a look at the guy in CAS.

His name is Dante Perkins and he's PERFECT for Hunter.

This time when a Vatore crept in for a little nibble on Rory's neck, it was Caleb.

Caleb didn't seem phased by his witness, and Bethann seemed quite chill with the whole thing too.

In fact, Bethann didn't freak out until Rory was drained and dumped on his yoga mat.
