Mel was in her own little world, sitting against the bookshelf as she started reading her book. The brunette wasn’t able to hold back her laughter, she hadn’t noticed until she heard a male voice. Looking up she was taking back. “Hey, I’m sorry. didn’t mean to disrupt you..” Mel spoke as she stood up, brushing herself off. “I apologize.”

Emails were sent out from professors to students about their upcoming quarter. They still had a few more days before anything officially started but there were a few articles of suggested readings that were heavily implied would be important for first week discussions. Being this year’s Kappa Sigma president, there was also some organizational work that he needed to sort out before the first quarter’s meeting. Of course naturally, Jake took a few moments out of his day to look over them inside the the university library. It shouldn’t take long at all, but as soon as Jake started finishing up the second paragraph of the reading, he heard an annoying noise coming from around one of the bookcases. “Ay.” He called out as he pulled himself to  his feet, “You mind going somewhere else? Some people are actually doing work here.”

Lucas sighed, "Maya.." he could tell she was upset, knowing she wouldn't tell him, not yet anyway- but knowing her well enough he knew it had to do with her family situation. Lucas looked at the blonde. "Maya, does the have to deal with Shawn?"

Lucas looked at the girl and shook his head. “What’s wrong, come on you can trust me.” He asked taking her hand. “I’m here to help you feel better, that’s what friends do.”
