Artists on Tumblr
Christina Mrozik | on Tumblr & Zoe Keller | on Tumblr - Intricacies
Intricacies Intricacies is a collaboration between artists Christina Mrozik and Zoe Keller, a forthcoming book with a series of highly detailed graphite drawings:
Intricacy means that there is a fluted fringe to the something that exists over against nothing, a fringe that rises and spreads, burgeoning in detail. Mentally reverse positive and negative space, as in the plaster cast of the pine, and imagine emptiness as a sort of person, a boundless person consisting of an elastic, unformed clay. - Annie Dillard, Pilgrim at Tinker Creek
Please watch this video that artists created for you & support their project on Kickstarter!

Paint The Town Red is a chaotic and blood-soaked first person brawler where nearly everything you see can be picked up and used as a weapon - to brutal (and comical) effect.
Built over 7 days for this years #7DFPS jam from the developers of last years Probably Archery, Paint The Town Red puts you in the shoes of an undercover cop whos’ cover has just been blown.  The upshot of which means that you have to fight wave after wave of box-headed thugs using anything you can get your hands on - from pool balls to meat cleavers.  As well as the obvious weaponry, there’s also as some interesting weaponry hidden away.  Kill, maim and dismember enough enemies without getting hit to fill your special power bar, and you’ll even unlock the ability to call in slow-mo splatterfest sniper shots by pointing your fingers.
Paint The Town Red is a pretty bare-bones (but incredibly fun) Prototype at the moment, but the devs plan to expand on it and have just started a Greenlight campaign.  So if you’d like to see more of how this boxy, brutal and blood-filled barfight pans out, give it a thumbs up (before they get broken with a pool cue!).

It’s not what you think, there’s a lot more going on behind that odd title, and we’ve barely scratched the surface with developer Nelson Atmos’ chaotic title, No More Probes. Essentially, you’re a crazy hobo in a junkyard trying to build earth’s last defense from aliens raining from the sky.
You have a strange machine that serves as a platform for you to build your defenses while you run around the junkyard collecting parts to contribute to your last stand (you’re literally supposedly the last living human). We’re not yet sure what you could hope to accomplish, even if you defeat the alien invasion, but after playing the Alpha, you might learn that you want to stick around to see what happens. The game already features a wacky assortment of elements like teleporters, night time lighting, and a Sarlacc-like creature (hint: use it to lure your pursuers to their demise!), and the developer is running off of donations to keep the effort alive.
No More Probes plays like a tower defense game with rogue-like elements that fuel the gameplay. With crazy alien robots, hailing probes, and the ability to sift through junk and build Earth’s last hope all on your own, NMP has the potential to shape up into a robust title with a wealth of features and more in-depth gameplay. The art and animation is already well polished, and the basic idea is well-conveyed in this early alpha. This project will be off to a slow start, but we may see a crowdfunding campaign in the future to up the pace of the development life in the near future!

Skysaga: Infinite Isles is a voxel based first person exploration and building game from the creators of the Dizzy games, where you build, craft, and engage in combat with your friends, exploring the game’s world with its floating islands and dangerous caves.
There’s no gameplay footage of the game yet, but judging by the trailer it looks like a mix of Oort Online with it’s open world online connectivity and it’s building and world structure, and Cube World's look and gameplay style.  Whatever it is, it seems interesting, and you'll really want to check out what legendary Dizzy Developers - The Oliver Twins - have been up to lately.

New features for Spelunky on PS Vita! ⊟
Yay, an update for one of our most favorite games ever! The PlayStation 4 version of Spelunky released last month with some exclusive features, which are now available on the PS3 and handheld editions with a free update. The PS Vita version will now have Leaderboard replays (including fast forward feature), friend ghosts in Daily Challenge, miscellaneous fixes, and four-player PSTV support. I keep finding more and more reasons to buy a PlayStation TV..
Did you know that developer Derek Yu is writing a book about Spelunky? I can spend hours reading Spelunky stuff, so this is definitely a must-get for me. You can reserve digital and print versions for it and several other books about classic games through Boss Fight’s Season 2 Kickstarter.
The GIF, by the way, comes from Ivan Dixon’s "Player Hater" bump for Adult Swim. You can see more of Ivan’s awesome animations on his Tumblr.
