...OP...who...who were you on the phone with?
My one friend group can't stop saying, "See you in hell!" in a cheerful voice instead of, "Talk to you later!" and my other friend group can't stop calling things "penis" instead of "cool" or "good", so I just unironically uttered the phrase, "Sounds penis, see you in hell," as I got off the phone.

So one thing I’ve noticed is that people’s DnD characters may vary but there is usually an underlying thread that they all have in common. This thread is typically related to what that person struggles with the most.
For instance, my betrotheds DnD characters: a bitchy warlock we had to bust out of two different pacts, a sassy barbarian, a reformed drow cultist, and a sunshine fighter cleric.
All these characters were wildly different but at their very core struggle was them grappling with their self worth. My betrothed struggles with their worth a great deal and even with different facets showing their characters all have that too.
Mine all tend to contend with different themes of loneliness and acceptance. Surprise, surprise, the little autistic gremlin yearns to have been met with more love and lasting friendships.
So we’re at breakfast. I am meeting a new friend of my betrotheds for the first time. It’s been twenty minutes since I’ve met this man. I say my theory. He laughs. He starts to describe a few of his characters but specifies that he often has healing aspects. He gives a very broad overview of their character arcs.
I ponder for a moment then said, “Would you like to have my assessment?”
He laughed, “Sure!”
“We’ve just met. It’s gonna get real.”
“Bring it on.”
“I think your struggle is that you feel you must offer something of value or service to people to be worthy of their love.”
His jaw dropped. His fork froze midway to his mouth. A potato fell. He stared into space as this sank in. Quietly he said, “Oh.”

Things look blurry because of the way the light entering your eye hits the back of your eyeball . If the curvature of your eye or the length of the eye isn’t exactly right, the images can be out of focus. Glasses help correct that so that the images are sharp.
Your eyesight can change over the course of your lifetime, so if you don’t have glasses now, you might someday! Or you might need a different prescription as you get older. And some people who have glasses as kids don’t always need them as adults.
*Don't forget to check out Zeelool for your next pair of frames! Use code BSJ to get 15% off already reduced glasses!!! 🤓 (see my profile pic for style Krystle )
Do you wear prescription glasses?

I'm trying to come up with a specific assumption that you'd be comfortable confirming or denying publicly . . . All right: solidarity across types of neurodivergence and mental illness matters a lot to you.
True!

Put your hands on someone's shoulder blades and then follow their shoulder blades as they cross their arms. Then marvel at the shoulder blades in the armpits.

I have read at least one soulmate AU tackling each and every one of these, except possibly "is it queer to be in a non-soulbound relationship". And yes, PG is correct, it makes for amazing soulmate AUs.
I would also love to see a first-words one where the first thing people say to a new human is always the same unique nonsense thing, maybe given to you with your name by your parents--maybe it IS your name, your true name--so that people will know their soulmate immediately, what does that society look like?
And a writing-on-skin one where you do just write your name and address as soon as you're able and generally go to meet your soulmate immediately, or at least at a very young age, why haven't our main characters done it? Is there a movement of anti-soulmate people? Does someone's culture have a tradition of waiting for adulthood? Are there special classes for learning to read your soulmate's language, for those who have foreign soulmates?
i can never write a soulmates au cause i very quickly stop thinking about romance and start thinking about the sociological implications of a world where soulmates are a confirmed verifiable thing

in my recent experience, a week-long vacation, or a two-week long vacation, is not enough vacation to come back reinvigorated. The three months and change I haven't had a job, though? I am now itching for someone to impose a schedule on me. So I propose that real vacations be three months.

ohhh design for living is the name of the movie
I kept waiting for the post to be about living situation design that benefits family structures other than nuclear and it never went there
i cant believe people dont talk about design for living more. like bro they made a polyamorous rom com in the 30s. the woman is explicitly equally in love with both of them. the ending scene is her kissing both of them one after another as they run away from her boring capitalist husband to go be starving artists together. the dudes were long term batchelor roommates and one of them says 'i loved both of you' at one point. who let them do this.

(if tumblr fucks up the sourcing again I got it off this post)
If people have superhero fatigue and want something different, but still want popcorn movies and not just *films*, this could be a good time to try to bring back Beatle Movies.
Put those cute K-pop boys in some little outfits and let them frolic through humorous predicaments with musical interludes.
