We were living in seleucis on the tigris river during the same span of summers... do you rememver a red ibis bird with beautiful plumes? Yeah U were a sort of dull brown goat that didn't train and dint make milk or kids. Yeah? No? Eventually the Zoroastrian homesteaders who owned you started feeding you contaminated barley to try and kill you lol. Maybe you remember the ergotism? Anyway. also I want one of these 🫵stupid little breads in the case
D&D going mainstream really messed up people's expectations cause chances are you're not gonna find a DM who has the free time, talent and resources to put on a tale that competes with Tolkien. you're gonna find your friend's roommate Phil who's read one of the manuals a few times and has to pause to get a calculator out to figure out how much damage your attack did and his story is blatantly ripping off a dragon age 2 side quest
*kicks down your door* hiii hello! may i ask what wolf's rain is about? :]
AAAUGH HI! :3 <3 OK OK I'm so glad you asked this because I already had pre-written Wolf's Rain from an anime channel in a discord server in order to shamelessly proselytize to the masses there.
personalized summary Produced by Bones, Wolf's Rain is a dark fantasy-adventure anime that features an almost dystopian future where wolves have been practically hunted into extinction and the last of their kind have developed abilities with which to disguise themselves among the human populace to ensure their survival. Among our main ensemble cast is Kiba, a young and hardheaded wolf searching for paradise, a fabled refuge among the dying dirges of the post-apocalytic world- a safehaven for wolves that can only be opened by wolves, and the last promise for a future.
You can also view the official synopsis here. Althought the recount is more or less the same thing, the website I've linked goes a little more in-depth.
a little note The anime is a visually gorgeous work of art, the music is incredible (featuring a soundtrack composed by Yoko Kanno, the renowned composer who worked on the OST for Cowboy Bebop as well) and the characters are charming and well-written. I also found the symbolism to be quite enjoyable, I spent a great deal of time analyzing the themes, sub-themes and overall visuals that I one day hope to share with more people.
Just to drive the point home, here's the (dubbed) trailer:
was lamenting the fact that my eczema is flaring up when the thought "the itcher" popped into my head fully formed and unprompted and now i can't stop laughing
