Before I get to the crux of this statement, I would like to make it clear that I am very aware and appreciative of the fact that I am in an exceedingly fortunate position, and that the following issues are indeed good problems to have — even more so now that we are in the grips of a global pandemic and a cratering economy which have left millions unemployed. With that crucial context, here is the big news from my little world.

Michael DiMartino and I recently chose to leave Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the series he and I created together in 2002. We will have no involvement in the project moving forward. This is probably the most difficult decision I have ever made. But there is no doubt in my mind it was absolutely the right choice.

So Netflix just gonna describe korra as “a female avatar” in the description for LOK?? Imagine if the ATLA description was “aang, a male avatar” BITCH JUST SAY AVATAR.

I know this fandom will sprinkle out that they’re biphobic off and on but when MTFL came y’all jumped out. Like sorry this book isn’t gonna describe your lesbian experience or reveal to the audience that you came out in middle school but uh….not everything is universal or a shared/similar experience. This isn’t your story. Sorry you’re upset that you believe that MC can’t be bi because she also likes two men or she’s not constantly jumping back and forth between men and women everyday of the week. I understand you want to be gay by default, I understand wanting to have Mason and Noah have gender options, but this is not what this story is trying to express. I get you feel raked over the coals because you feel like this is some conspiracy theory that PB is doing to push wlw to the background in an attempt to have a “straight” story, but that is not the case, as far as they have expressed. Like if y’all turn out to be right and they do the exploring sexuality poorly, then for sure go off, but in the meantime, stop invalidating people who can actually relate to this book because you don’t feel like it’s gay enough.

Taylor really wrote an entire album in 3 months and didn’t tell her label till she was about to release it and all I can think about is how Scott forced her to change the name of the Speak Now album from Enchanted to Speak Now and forced her into changing Red from it’s orginal direction so that it would have more singles to sell instead of the album being cohesive. Taylor Swift has ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS but she could never show it becuase of Scott and Big Machine. I won’t stop saying how happy I am that she is free to be her complete self!

'It's rather strange to me that half the fandom asked for a book where we could be the villain but the second the Queen B MC is involved in some sabotage or roasting, everyone is a perfect saint. When you say villain, do you mean the kind that has to make decisions that could potentially get people killed or is being a little mean-spirited just too much?'
