Perhaps, rather like second-hand smoking or second-hand high, you've got second-hand caffeine high from your coffee shop?
You know what really royally sucks? Not being able to sleep, at all. I don’t know what’s going on but I can’t sleep and it’s awful.

Interesting. I personally prefer to be "cooped" up.
What makes the outside world so desirable to you?
Things have been a little dull around here.
Or it’s just that I’ve been cooped in my house far too long.

Any instances of interest occur so far?
Bonjour Sunset Valley,
I like the freedom. It’s bigger and more interesting, unlike back home where nothing ever happened.

Keeings hadn't been this happy since she discovered toothpaste. She was happy for so many reasons - a successful interaction, a conclusive experiment, making correct calls, answering questions well, being courteous!
Thomas put a stop to her train of thought. "I can give you my number or address or whatever," he said.
Keeings nodded and gave a genuine smile.
"I would appreciate that."
That's an understatement, she thought to herself. I can acquire actual, reliable information now. She would no longer have to rely on her sworn enemy, Wikipedia.
Speaking of information, she looked over the results of the experiment. The highly specific results - she had cheated and used alien technology - informed her that chocolate caused a high flood of serotonin, oxytocin and lowered, to a slight degree, one's inhibitions.
"My conclusion is that I should eat it more often," she responded.

Sounds like an excellent arrangement! Why do you prefer Sunset Valley?
Bonjour Sunset Valley,
Home is a tiny village about an hour from here, so tiny I don’t think it even has a name. It’s just a few houses around a field.

May I inquire as to where your home is?
Bonjour Sunset Valley,
Good, I think! Either way it’s better than home.

Is the lack of change pleasing or disappointing?
Bonjour Sunset Valley,
Just the same as I remember you.

"...yeah, you could say."
Thomas had spoken those words casually and off-handedly, as if he had no idea the effect his statement would have.
The effect being, of course, the perhaps disproportionate joy of Keeings. Her face lit up, she started dancing and experienced a ridiculous rush of warmth and affection towards Sunset Valley.
In fact, she was so happy she almost - almost - forgot to check the equipment's measurements. But at the last minute she remembered what this meeting had all been for, and recorded down the serotonin levels, the dilation radius and the HPM of Thomas. He took it all far more calmly post-Chocolate, even going as far as too say that this "wasn't a disaster of an experiment."
Cue another dance from Keeings.
In her jubilation, she said something that she never would've in any other situation.
"Would you mind doing it again sometime?"

Keeings briskly organized the equipment and chocolate and then turned to Thomas, whose expression caused her to grin. His usually impeccable, symmetrical face had been distorted by one high eyebrow. She quickly turned around and started cataloguing the chocolate bars, trying to hide her smile. This was, she reminded herself firmly, a serious experiment.
Then her secret smile widened when Thomas spoke.
"You were quite... courteous when asking me."
She spun around, flustered and happy.
"Are you informing me that my etiquette was so correct that it was above average?" Keeings instinctively made a low guttural noise, which in human equivalent would've been an exhilarated girl's high squeal.
Afraid of his answer - for it might not have been affirmative - she popped into his gaping mouth a cube of Porcelain chocolate. People, as she recalled smugly from HtH lessons, were forbidden from talking with food in their mouths.
She could pretend, for at least a few seconds, that she had indeed been polite.
